A cold breeze brushed against Emma's petite frame. She reached up to adjust her messy hair, slowly approaching him.

Her voice was soft but so heavy, freezing Harry in place, "Tell me. That night, what did you and her do?"

Seeing the calm demeanor on her face, waves of emotion surged within Harry, evident in his eyes. He didn’t even glance at Iris, taking off his vest to drape it over Emma's shoulders. "Why are you back already? I was about to pick you up."

"Is there any reason I shouldn't be here now?" Emma slightly tilted her head to gaze at him, her smile was gentle yet it halted the casual grin on Harry's face.

He hugged her shoulders, pulled her close to him, then leaned down and whispered, "I'll explain at home. Please don't misunderstand."

Emma's sharp gaze settled on Iris's beautiful face. "Why can't you explain now? Or are you afraid..."

She paused to wait for him to fill in the blanks for what she was about to say. Assessing the woman before her, Emma had to admit she was ver
