GRACE:-

Hunter’s POV:-

“This is what they have sent us all,” Alex said, his face marred with utter dismay.

Two hours ago, when I heard that Charles Brown was back, I was stunned to say the least.

When did he wake up? That was the only question hitting me.

Certainly, neither Natasha nor Jenny had any idea as they both were equally shocked as me. Even though I lashed out at Jenny for being so oblivious to what was happening around her in the mansion, I can’t really blame her.

Charles can be a hell of mysterious and secretive if he wants to be. My mind feels like it will blast anytime soon with all the sudden course of events. I was getting frustrated by my hardships already when this matter had to arrive and that bloody Mr. Brown had to wake up now itself.

And adding much to my annoyance came this announcement from him, pushing me more into the pool of anger.

I know exactly why he had announced Natasha’s name out of the blue. I know what he is trying to do. It was all falling into line.

Kingston Villa:-“Did you discuss it with Natasha yet? Does she have her consent to it?” Nathan asked Charles, throwing a concerned look at him. “That child needs to understand the responsibility you’re putting on her shoulders.” His words were laced with utter sympathy for the youngest Brown. She was Charles’s daughter, but Nathan, too, saw her as his own child. And that was the reason Nathan was a bit skeptical about Charles’s plan when he told him.He knew Charles had a habit of making decisions himself without asking his family, and that’s what worries him. Out of two children, he was now left with only one in his support; and with such a reckless move, he was compelling that one child of his to pick a dislike on her father. He feared that this audacious action might lead to estrangement between father and daughter. Just like it happened almost nine years ago. At that time, it was Hunter in Natasha’s place. And everyone around them now knows the repercussions of that clash. His ga

I was still processing the bomb of a statement he dropped on us when Leo voiced out my mind. “What? Postponing the wedding!?” asked a puzzled Leo; his voice barely contained the shock that filled him. “What do you mean?” His perplexed gaze switched between Ryan and Maya. Ryan exchanged a glance with Maya, their eyes locking in a silent communication. It was evident that this decision weighed heavily on both of them. “Yeah, we have decided to postpone it for now!” Came Maya’s determined statement, supporting her fiance. She nodded her head confidently at us before sharing the same look with Ryan. The room was

They certainly didn’t see this coming.” Victor, turned off his tablet, reading the last comment. “And our sources say, Mr. Hunter is facing a hard time given by the investors and shareholders of GRACE. How long more would you keep it a secret?” Her eyes wrinkled at the corners while her nose flared in annoyance. Her anger didn’t seem to affect Viaan a bit as the man chuckled loudly. “As I said, it is a surprise, Maa.
