Sara POV

"He is a grown man now, and he is not living with me." She placed the soup bowl on the table and sat on the side stool near the bed.

"Did he come here to meet you?" I asked her to tell me more about her feelings for him.

"No, he didn't come here; now he doesn't even talk to me." Tears filled her eyes.

"Please don't cry, Aunty." I wiped away her tears because I already knew the whole story and didn't want to reopen her old wound.

"Sometimes we make grave mistakes for which we must bear the consequences for the rest of our lives." Her gaze remains fixed on the floor, and her tone is filled with seriousness. I was well aware that she was talking about her betrayal of Aron, so I quietly nodded my head when I heard her.

"Sara, I attempted to communicate with my son numerous times, but he refused to engage with me once he caught me in the act." I'm not sure why she's opening up to me, but I feel awful about lying to her about myself once more.
