●Khushi's P.O.V.●

He soon had his hoodie off, which he promptly threw to the ground. My exposed skin was now being touched by his hands. With each of his touches, I became more disgusted and terrified.

"Save me, please." I couldn't stop sobbing and wishing in my head that someone would just pass by Mandira's room and realise something was wrong.

"Now, baby, this is the best part." He whispered in my ear, making me feel completely horrified before I felt his lips start touching my belly button and undressing my lehenga. My heart seemed on the verge of stopping.

It really can't be happening this way! Where is Darsh? Every time I'm in trouble, he steps in. So why isn't he here right now? Why?

Both of us were startled when the door abruptly thudded open. It felt as if my plea had been heard, and I had at last found salvation. The lights of the room glowed, and I almost went blind by the brightness and shut my eyes with my hand as a cover.

But as soon as my eyes adjusted to the light, I sa

●Khushi's P.O.V.●My eyes started to tear up. I glanced up at Darsh and asked, "Do you trust me? I just want to hear yes or no."Our marriage depended on his response.A few silent seconds passed as I kept staring at the calm stature of my husband, who was peering at the hooded man. Consequently, I noticed his blank expression turning into something. It was wrath. He was incredibly quiet, despite having almost red eyes from anger. He had been observing everything up until that point and hadn't even asked a single question to the man or me.But eventually, he turned to look at me, and his eyes sealed with mine.Darsh exhaled a prolonged, deep breath before uttering, "How can I not believe you, idiot?" Causing my eyes to expand in bewilderment. His response stunned everyone else in the room. His fingers traced my damp skin as he placed a palm on my cheek. A faint wave graced his lips as he said, "Even if the entire world turns against you, I'll still stand by your side."His response o

●Khushi's P.O.V.●I asked, turning to Mandira, "Why? Why on earth must it be you out of all the people? I loved you the most."Mandira remained mute while she slumped her head low."Mandira! Speak up!" I yelled in anger and disbelief. She slowly raised her head and looked into my eyes for a long, uneasy minute."BECAUSE I HATE YOU!" Finally, my cousin-sister yelled back. She looked at me with utter revulsion, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU SO MUCH THAT MY STOMACH TWIRLS IN DISGUST EVERY TIME I SEE YOU!"My ears didn't make sense to me. The sister I cherished so much said she despised me so much that it made her sick from the inside?"Why? What have I done?" My voice was scant because I was still reeling from the words that Mandira just blurted out."I've treated you like my own sister. I have always looked out for you. You received everything you asked for from me. Food, clothes, shoes—everything, even when I was the poor cousin!" While fighting b

●Khushi's P.O.V.●Many more bodyguards were waiting for Darsh and me as we exited the Delhi airport to protect us from the paparazzi. Though it wasn't something new, it felt like it had happened to me earlier too, which I couldn't remember.Uncle Hemant greeted us as we approached Darsh's car. "Welcome, My Lady.""I missed you, Uncle Hemant. How are you?""Like always, I'm doing great." He said and bent to open the door for me, but before that, Darsh did. Uncle Hemant seemed like he had witnessed a ghost.I sat inside the car, and Darsh followed me while Uncle Hemant took the seat behind the wheel."Master Darsh seems to have changed." He coughed, earning Darsh's glare from the back seat. After seeing his expression, Uncle Hemant simply grinned before igniting the engine and directing the vehicle in the direction of the Sinha mansion."By the way, how was the wedding, My Lady?" He asked from behind the wheel."It was good, I guess." I replied nonchalantly."Too good." With a smirk, Da

Sia asked as she saw me moving back and forth across the living room."Everything's fine," I replied while glancing at the time. 11:00 p.m.Why isn't he still home?"It seems like Master Darsh will be late." Observing my anxiousness, she added. I felt my throat getting drier with each passing minute. I wasn't fully convinced that Darsh could kill someone, but it didn't seem totally impossible either."Send me the documents after dinner. I will look into these before going to bed." My ears caught the extremely familiar voice I was waiting for right at that moment, leading me to spin back.I caught the attention of Darsh and Uncle Hemant as they entered the mansion."Oh? It seems that my lady has been waiting for you, Master." With an air of guilt, Uncle Hemant stated, "We shouldn't have returned so late tonight."Darsh remained motionless for a while before saying, "Khushi, yo---"But before he could finish, I grabb

●Khushi's P.O.V.●"What the heck, Darsh?""What?" He asked nonchalantly."What's this?""What is what?""Your door is unlocked. Anyone can see inside through the glass wall!" I objected."Oh, that's your concern?" Darsh smirked."Fine.." He uttered it, opening a drawer on his desk and pulling out a remote. He then pressed a button on the remote while pointing it at the glass wall. After that, the glass wall turned completely black.I blinked a couple of times before mumbling out, "You..did that...?""Yes, I did that," Darsh mumbled. "Now relax, honey.""Darn it, I didn't mean that." I grimaced. What did you mean, then? He posed his chin on my right shoulder and asked innocently."Darsh..""Mmmmm?""Leave me, please." I requested."No." Darsh let out a soft chuckle. "I swear, I've never had this much fun working! You should have joined sooner.""Darsh?""Mmmm?""Let me go, or I'll scream that our boss is a pervert." I threatened."Uh-huh?" His voice gave me the impression that he had a

●Khushi's P.O.V.●Darsh drove us home after we quickly finished our dinner. He seemed to have wrapped up everything as soon as possible, only to leave for home.He rattled upstairs silently when we entered the mansion. The house staff were waiting for us in the living room. They became a little alarmed to see Darsh acting that way."Is everything okay between you and Master?" Sia rushed over to me and asked with worried eyes.I nodded and she let out a relieved sigh. My gaze landed on Uncle Hemant, who was observing Darsh stomp upstairs from a corner."Uncle Hemant?" I called. His attention finally shifted to me, and he asked, "Yes, my lady?""Can I speak with you for a moment?" I requested. Uncle Hemant's expression briefly turned confused, but he nodded right away. **********"What is it, my lady?" As we were both seated across from one another in the garden, Uncle Hemant asked."Today, we went out for dinner.""I know." He smiled."That's not the poin

●Khushi's P.O.V.●"I'm so tired of people just walking away from me. Please.." As a tear trickled down his cheek, he continued. It was the same Darsh I had seen at the bus stand that night in the rain. But compared to the other night, he was much more devastated tonight."K-Khushi, I am scared.I am really scared." Darsh uttered it through quivering lips. His grip tightened on my wrist, and he pulled me closer to him. Darsh slid his hands around my waist and hugged me as his head rested on my stomach.I gently ran my hand over his head, stroking his hair. "Why are you scared?"After a brief period of silence, Darsh responded, "I am scared that you will leave me as well, like others." I could hear his cracking voice and feel the tears seeping down my shirt."Why do you always think that I am going to leave you?""Because…. Because I have done something terribly wrong to you." My mouth opened in surprise as Darsh paused."What have you done?" I inquired out of curiosity because I had a

As I was eating my food, I kept stealing her glances. She eventually caught me, however, and questioned me with a furrowed brow. "What? Do I have anything on my face?""Eh?" I blinked twice before replying. "No. There is nothing.""Then why are you staring at me like that?""Me? When?" I gaped, acting like an idiot.Khushi gave me a long, suspicious look before rolling her eyes and returning her attention to her meal. What's so amusing about food? She can't even see anyone if there is food before her! I shook my head in disappointment as I thought.*************It was a busy hour at the office. I was particularly busy. Not with work but with the pleasant memories from last night that kept getting in the way of my usual thought process."At this point, I'll lose my mind." I rubbed my temples as I mumbled.A

As his arms began to gradually encircle my stomach, he whispered in my ears."Darsh!Everyone is at home." I scolded him."So what? You are my wife, and this is my house. I can always express my love to my wife." He said and started placing slow kisses on my neck, sending shivers down my spine."Darsh, would you please stop?" After a groan, I spoke."Well, you certainly don't sound like you want me to." I heard him chuckle in my ears as he kissed me down my neck and moved to kiss my back. I was about to push him away when our bedroom door was knocked on by someone."Everyone is waiting for you downstairs, Master and My Lady." Uncle Hemant spoke up from the outside."His timing

●Khushi's P.O.V.●Bip...bip..bip…The heart rate machine kept beeping as I stared at Darsh's unconscious face. He was unresponsive as he lay on the hospital bed. His face was covered in bruises, and bandages were placed across his body.I kept praying for him to wake up as tears streamed down my face. It had been a day already since he had been there. It was not a great view to look at. Nobody was aware of the cause of Darsh's fragile state. Though we assumed Harsh Raj beat him by taking advantage of the time when he was helpless. But the main question was, why did he not fight back and protect himself? I couldn't stop asking those questions to myself. When I was busy contemplating, I felt his hand move a little. Wondering if it was just my imagination, I focused all my concentration on him. I gaped when Darsh finally slowly opened his eyes after a few seconds.I wiped my tears away quickly and drew nearer to him.Darsh closed and opened his eyelids quite a few times. He appeared to b

From the other end of the call, Akash informed me.My dejected eyes brightened as I slowly rose to my feet while holding onto the trunk of the car."Send the cops," I smiled through my painful, gushing wounds as I ordered and disconnected the call."Harsh Raj?" I spoke clearly enough for Harsh Raj to hear. He came to a stop and looked at me with a knitted brow as he turned around."Has the shock driven you insane?" He smirked."Uh, well, there is no fellow alive in the world to make me go insane," I said, smiling through my bloody teeth. Harsh Raj appeared uneasy when he observed my sudden confidence."Then, what is it?" However, he still managed to smirk."Heh, It's your end that I could see with my open eyes," I grinned, earning a sneer from him."You're still trying to act arrogant after lo

●Darsh's P.O.V.●I was waiting at the mentioned address for twenty minutes. It was an empty region with a deserted roadway and tall, wild trees lining both sides of it. Every two minutes, I glanced at my wristwatch and looked around to check if Harsh Raj was there or not.Only I knew how I was able to leave my office, avoid the reporters, and make it to my destination at the specified time.Every second that went by made me more and more frustrated. I hit the steering wheel, clicking my tongue in fury. It was my mistake to not make sure whether the guard was being strict and proper at the hospital. Khushi wouldn't have to experience such a nightmare if I were a bit more cautious. How could I have overlooked the possibility that Harsh Raj might harm Khushi? How? I hit my head on the steering wheel, feeling my skin crawl with fear deep inside my heart. Why is he still not here? Wait! Did he lie to me? Will he kill her before we meet?I flinched at a startling noise, but when I realised

He genuinely wants to be with me for his love and not to uphold his reputation.Maybe I should give him one chance to prove his words. I thought about it as I consumed the food that the nurse had given me.After a while, the doctor came and checked me up."How are you feeling, Mrs. Sinha?""Better.""That's great. Any dizziness or headache?""Last night, I felt a little lightheaded, but I'm fine now. Though I can feel a slight headache," I answered."It'll be alright soon," He assured me with a smile."Has Mr. Sinha left the hospital, by the way, Mrs. Sinha?" He lowered the stethoscope from his ears and asked.I replied, "Yes, he left a while ago," in a low voice, while his name made me r

●Darsh's P.O.V.●I fixed my gaze on the screen displaying Rishav Mittal and Harsh Raj's earlier works, which they had attempted to conceal but which my spies had dug up from the grave."F***king Pervert Ba*****!" As I looked at the data on the screen, I clicked my tongue."You are shocked as well, Master? When I read the case of Harsh Raj raping and killing a girl, I felt the same way. After that, Harsh Raj threatened to kill her other family members to shield himself from the law. In the end, the victim's family was powerless to take action against him, and he got out of it easily." While wiping the sweat from his brow, Uncle Hemant stated it."As I suspected, Harsh Raj is really a filthy pig. We have just unlimited files to send him behind bars." I expressed my anger as I spoke. I was truly disgusted by Harsh Raj."Mittal is also involved in illicit activity, but it is all associated with business. The real scumbag is Harsh Raj.First, we need to take down Harsh Raj anyhow. I inhaled and exhaled heavily before going into her room.As soon as I entered, I found Khushi sobbing, sitting on the bed with her face buried in her palms. I hurried over to her, set the tray down next to her bed, and worriedly asked, "What's wrong?""Khushi, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Tell me!" I touched her head.Khushi slowly raised her face, wiping her tears away as her eyes grew furious."Nothing!" She declared. "Just leave."I couldn't help but neglect her order."When I used to cry, you always stayed with me and comforted me," I said, feeling remorseful. My voice got stuck somewhere inside my throat as the sweat beads formed on my temples.I didn't know how she was going to react at that moment. In my entire life, that was the situation I dreaded the most. I was frightened to hear about the old days when I was a jerk to her. When I treated her so poorly!"Well, I….I…." I tried to speak but couldn't find the exact word to put in a sentence. Khushi was staring down at me with the same smile on her lips."I want you to know that what you witnessed at the office wasn't true. I can prove it. You can check the footage." I finally blurted it out anxiously."Let's not talk about all this," Khushi murmured."What? Why not?" My fear was replaced by confusion. I was certain she didn't forgive me for kissing Anannya, so why was she avoiding the topic?"I think I have done enough of these things after memory loss." She smiled."What thi
