~ AUTHOR'S POV~
Cassandra wakes in a panic, a bad dream, she always has them when she's stressed out or getting sick. She is disorientated and doesn't know where she is, she's never seen this room before. Michael is on alert and wakes by the sound of Cassandra crying out, he rushes in instantly and sees Cassandra sitting up in bed struggling for breath, she's sweaty and Michael can tell she's had a bad dream.
Cassandra relaxes a little when she sees Michael barge into the room, of course, she's at Michael’s, she tries her hardest to calm herself down.
“Cassandra, hey, sweetheart you're okay,” Michael says worriedly.
He's over at Cassandra’s side in an instant, wiping her sweaty fringe off her forehead.
~ AUTHOR’S POINT OF VIEW~Cassandra feels like a ton of bricks has fallen on top of her when she and Michael enter her apartment just after lunch. Cindy approaches her instantly, checking Cassandra over for any sign of anything untoward. Michael watches on fondly.“I'm fine,” Cassandra says, pushing Cindy off.“Really?” Cindy asks as she walks to the kitchen counter, picks up three gossip magazines, and hands them to her.“What the fuck” Cassandra panics. Michael is at her side instantly.“Michael” Cassandra looks at him almost desperate.Cassandra and Michael are all over the magazines, Cassandra's identity, location, what she
Cassandra wakes up cold and alone, she looks at the clock and it reads midnight. Cassandra was hoping Michael would stay the night with her. She remembers how Michael made her feel, how amazing she felt in Michael’s arms, his touch like fire. Cassandra doesn't think before she’s pulling up Michael’s contact in her phone and pressing the call button.“Cassandra?” Michael answers on the first ring, Wherever Michael is it's loud and she can hear music and voices in the background.“Hi,” Cassandra says sheepishly, feeling silly for calling Michael.“What's wrong Angel,” Michael asks as he moves somewhere quieter to talk.“Nothing, Sorry, I just woke up and you were gone,” Michael says.
“Darling?” Michael answers the phone, he sounds puffed. “Michael, um, you busy?” Cassandra asks nervously, biting her lip. “Never busy for you little one, What's up,” Michael says. “Well, I kind of can’t leave my apartment,” Cassandra says as she looks out the front doors of reception. “What do you mean?” Michael asks, confused. “Well there is a mob of photographers outside and I can't get through,” Cassandra says. “Shit, are you inside? are you safe?” Michael asks, panicked. “Yeah but, I'm late for work and I need to leave,” Cassandra says. “I'm coming, sit tight,” Michael says.
Cassandra wakes a few times during the night, she can’t sleep, even though her body is completely exhausted, she just can’t sleep. She knows she’s coming down with something, she’s worried about work and Michael being so cold towards her and not telling her more about this guy at the door tonight.Cassandra rolls over and faces Michael, she watches him sleep, Michael is simply stunning. He’s fit, handsome, and extremely intimidating, his long lean strong body makes her feel things she’s never felt before, fire in her belly, and attraction like nothing else. She’s falling so hard for Michael. She sighs and watches Michael breathing, it’s the most vulnerable she’s ever seen Michael and she takes her time to really take in Michael’s features. At 5 am Cassandra
The next morning, Cassandra sleeps well past her alarm, her shoulder kept her awake most of the night and she only settled about 5 am. Michaell made sure to call Cassandra’s office and let them know she wouldn’t be in. Cody was fine and hoped Cassandra felt better. Michael likes Cody and thinks he’s a great designer, he sees promising things and the company has been an interest to Michael for a while. Mac though is someone Michael doesn’t like, he’s shady and doesn’t want Cassandra working with him, he’s heard nothing but bad business rumors about the guy, he can’t be trusted. When Cassandra wakes she panics when she sees the time, 10 am. She rushes out of bed, stumbling from exhaustion and pain. She races to the kitchen still in Michael’s University Tee that reaches mid-thigh and his boxers. She sees Michael sitting at the breakfast bar, his laptop and
"You’re supposed to be asleep, angel,” Michael says from his desk, he senses Cassandra in the doorway as he looks over his paperwork.“Missed you,” Cassandra says shyly.Michael smirks and opens his arms. Cassandra walks over and curls herself on Michael’s lap snuggling close, her shoulder is still sore but feels so much better and Cassandra is relieved.“How are you feeling?” Michael asks, kissing her softly. Cassandra leans in his kiss and she sighs.“Fine” Cassandra says and Michael can’t help the fond, that’s always Cassandra's response no matter what. Michael is pretty certain if Cassandra fell down a cliff she’d still say she was fine.“Are yo
Aiden ends up carrying Cassandra into Michael’s bed and she only stirs when she’s placed down onto the sheets.Aiden sits on the bed next to her and swipes her fringe off her forehead.“It’s okay, Cass, just gets you comfortable,” Aiden reassures an exhausted Cassandra.“Sorry I fell asleep,” Cassandra says tiredly as she looks at her brother.“Don’t apologize kiddo, you need your rest” Aiden smiles. Cassandra sighs.“Do you, do you think I should move in with Michael?” Cassandra asks innocently. She wants to say yes to Michael but she wants her brothers' approval too.
“What the hell do you mean Ali?” Michael booms into the phone the next morning.Cassandra hears him yelling as she enters the doorway to his office, Cassandra is dressed in black skinny jeans and a baseball tee, her black and white check vans on her feet. She was hoping to ask Michael a favour but she doesn’t know if she should even go near Michael right now.“I want him found” Michael seethes.Cassandra decides it’s probably best not to ask Michael her question now and goes to leave Michael’s doorway but Michael sees her, they lock eyes.“I don’t care, call me when you’ve got him,” Michael says angrily, eyes never leaving Cassandra. He hangs up and they stare
"Sit down," he said as he sat down.I nodded sitting across from him.He typed something on his phone and then opened a drawer from his big desk, which I couldn't stop admiring, it was a folder with a couple of papers in them."Did you enjoy dinner last night?" he asked reading through the papers.I nodded "Yes, it was delicious."He hummed in response "After breakfast I want you to shower and get ready, we are going to the city."I frowned "What city?""somewhere where no one knows you," he said before sighing."O-okay" I stuttered scratching my wrist. When he finished reading the papers in front of him someone knocked on the door and he pressed something on the screen of his phone to open it. "Good morning," he said greeting the old man."Daniel," the old man said setting down the big tray betwe
~ CASSANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW~I shook my head no "Never." and lied cause I don't know how much Daniel has told them about me.She rose an eyebrow "That's odd, I mean, you're gorgeous that's why I find it rare."The subject is one that I hate so I stayed quiet looking at my toes, after a few seconds Davina walked to the pool and sat at the edge. I took my flip-flops off and then the dress, I hugged myself as I walked to the edge because I've never felt beautiful. I stepped in the water carefully, it was warm and comfortable, Laurent swam to me with the biggest smile I've ever seen."Auntie Cassandra!" she wrapped her arms around my neck and legs around my waist.I smiled feeling her small warmth "You're so cute.""I know," she smiled bigger resting her head on my shoulder. She has more confidence than me.We spent a couple of hours in the pool but Davina never got in, she said she just got her hair done and if she got in th
~CASSANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW~"Yeah, he was the person who runs into your parent's car which causes them to lose their lives. He got into an accident on the same day as your parents. He got into an Accident with your parents' car. It was the same day I and you lost our family in the same god fucking damn hospital. While that bastard survived and Live his life as if nothing happened!"I cannot proceed with anything further than this. But the unsolved pieces are now coming into their place. Now I know why Michael was so possessive over me. He wanted me to live with him so that he could make sure I won't open my mouth about my parents' accident in front of anyone. Now that I remember, I know why I saw Michael with a girl in my dreams. It was Michael and Loren since the beginning. there was not me anywhere in his picture. He wanted me to stay with him so that he could stay close to the woman who has the heart of his first love.I gasped and covered my
"-That's why I've got the evidence for you." He completed his line from exactly where I stopped him.He stared into my eyes as he started making his way towards me. I would be lying if I say I was not scared. I was scared as hell that I could swear I almost had peed in my clothes...if only... if only he hadn't had reached for the drawer of the nightstand. I watched him as he took out a thick brown envelope out of it and slide it close again. I wonder what could be in it as my gaze never leaving his hand that was white-knuckling the thick envelope. He took us a paper and threw it into my lap. I glanced at it and then to his glorious face, waiting for fir him to tell me what is it. And like he a psychic to read my mind he answered, "It's the report of your medical shit. Plus a copy of the document that was signed by your and donor's family that agreed to donate the descendent's heart to save your ass."He should not be right. He should not be right. Please god, do
~ CASSANDRA’S POINT OF VIEW ~“I was planning to tell you all of this once you would have gotten better. Much better to handle everything as a reason to hold you back, for it’s the safest way to keep you by my side. But now it seems like I could not hold you back any longer. I could hide the truths from you about your life and what you have to face ahead if I tell you now.” I heard him say.I could not understand why he said that. The only thing I know is that I know thismotherfucker is gonna be kidding me if he pulls up a stunt to kill me, again, I’m gonna kick his ball this is one and I won’t be regretting it.I was waiting for when he was gonna open his mouth again that he had sealed after he was said that much absurdity. Looks like I would be one to start the fucking conversation with this weird creature.“Could you please tell me what is going on?” I pleaded, my voice was merely a whisper. I was too scared of him to ask him. He didn’t answer but his head hung do
~CASSANDRA’S POINT OF VIEW~It was nighttime when I opened my eyes. My eyelids were heavy with the number of tears I had shed earlier, not because I remembered the cause about why I’m laying on the bed with an oxygen mask on my face to support my life and the reason was the same person who is been trying everything or anything since past few days to save me, to make me breathe freely without using a fucking oxygen mask.Ironically, when I opened my eyes in the middle of the night, I was in the embrace of that dangerous man who once attempted to kill me just to satisfy his revenge on Michael. His strong arms were caging me with the same tightness that I remembered was the first time he squeezed me into him early this day when I cried to know my reality. The huge room was shining with the pin-d
~ CASSANDRA’S POINT OF VIEW~It’s been fifteen days since Daniel has brought me back to his villa or should I say a villa which he turned into a hospital for me. And it’s been fifteen days I’m still under the eyes of doctors and Oh, Daniel. He never left my side since the day he brought me here, not even for a second, even he if sleeps, just because I force him to sleep, he sleeps on the couch which in place at the corner of this huge room.I wonder what my connection is with him but the way he’s been taking care of me I’m sure we have some special connection, the difference is I don’t know if we knew each other already or is it just my mind that’s playing tricks with me cause sometimes I have this feeling that I’m or maybe I was so attached to him ( before I had lost most of my memories)
~ CASSANDRA’S POINT OF VIEW~Their laugh was suppressing all the noises of the world. The girl was glistening with the water of the ocean as the boy was splashing the salty water on her. They were running on a beach, ditching the waves of the Ocean underneath their feet. The sky was painted with unrealistic colors that can only be found in a rainbow or maybe it was the color of the cotton candy that was in their hands as they were enjoying it at the time of the golden hour. The girl snatched the cotton candy from the hand of the boy as she started running, “Come and get me,” She yelled at the boy while running as she heard the boy giggling, “Stop there, Loren. I’m gonna get you.”“First catch me, Michael.” She answered, still running,
Michael makes it to his office, he feels so guilty for the way he’s been acting towards Cassandra and he has been organising things on the drive to work, with how to make it all up to Cassandra. He’s just putting his coat awaywhen his phone buzzes.“Santorum” He answers, his voice as cold as ice out of boredom.“Michale, where are you?” Aaron’s panicked voice sounds over the phone.“I just got to the office, why what’s wrong,” Michael asks his voice wavering at Aaron’s tone.“There's a hostage situation, it’s Cassandra. The building has been evacuated but they’ve got Cassandra In the apartment” Aaron says, his panic can be sensed by his voice.“I’m on my way,” Michael says as he hangs up. He’s never in his life run so fast, Robert and his security Flagging him as he makes his way back to the car in record time. As they approach the penthouse, the roads are closed off, so Ali pulls up a block away from theapartment and they run the rest of the way, there are am
