Chapter 4: Matchmaking

"Of course, I will." He enters the car with Dante. "So why did you decide to go home so fast?" 

"The old man is on my neck again, I just don't know what to do to get him off it." 

"Get married." 

"Hell no, I don't want to, I have a lot of things to do than to get tied down with one annoying girl to deal with." 

"So you don't want to get married?" 

"Of course, I will, who in this world doesn't want to get married?" 

"So when..."

"Jayden, change the topic." 

"Fine, let's talk about..."

"Don't talk about that insolent girl because I will kill you before killing her."

"I wasn't going to talk about that but you two look good together."

"Jayden!" 

"Fine, I give up, I am not going to ask, good thing, you don't want to punish her." 

"Who said so?" Jayden looks at him. "Yes, I will punish her badly but for now, she is the least of my worries..."

"How are..."

"Next topic?" 

"The letter?" 

"What letter?" 

"Dante, stop asking my questions with yet another question." 

"And you stop asking me about the letter, is that how you go asking God about the wishes people made?" 

"What are you feeling like?" 

"A human god." That was the only word Dante said before driving out of the beach house

At Calvin's villa, the ever-beautiful Claudia pulled over her car and threw the keys to her driver who was supposed to go with her everywhere but she never allowed him. 

Approaching the door, it opened, revealing Fiona to get her bag not after bowing to her. 

"My lady, Claudia! Welcome back!" She said respectfully, Claudia looked at her like some contaminated thing. 

Taking a few steps inside, Hazel walked down, the woman was in her forties but she still looked super beautiful, she was very elegant. 

"What did you do to Barbara?" 

"Come on Mother, can everything not be about Barbara? It's irritating you know that." 

"No, the only irritating thing, I could see here, is the fact that you are sleeping with your sister's boyfriend."

"Can you stop it? Derrick is in love with me, not her and why are you taking her side, I am gone for three days, you should at least welcome me."

"For the record, I am not taking her side, if I were, I wouldn't have told her, to let Derrick go for you and that not a word of this should reach your dad and for the second part, you never did tell me, you were going to grease the bed of your younger sisters boyfriend." 

"Oh please, she is not my sister but an adopted witch."

"You should be careful with your words, your dad is here already." 

"What?" Claudia closed her mouth in fear, that Calvin could kill for Barbara's happiness, although he had returned home on one of his trips with Barbara, he didn't give them any information on how he got the girl, she was just two years old then. The only word he said is, that she is now part of the family. 

As crazy as Hazel could be, she didn't dare to ask him, how he got the girl, the man is a demon, he takes orders from no one and his decisions always stand. 

"Yes, he is upstairs having those numerous meetings, I just hope that, Barbara..."

"I am here already." 

"Good, your dad is back and you two should behave right in front of him." 

"You should tell that to Claudia, the female whore." Barbara said taking a step to her room. 

"Mother, did you see that? How dare she..."

"Stay there and be daring her, make your dad hear about your..."

"Stop it, Mother, you all are irritating and you should tell her, that he loves me and not her." Claudia darts upstairs like some mad dog. 

The moment Dante got into the villa, his eyes could see three people, one was Mr Lim, his father and the other was a female, he guessed she was Alicia, Mr Lim's daughter.

Taking a few steps in, he realized that the old man was about to make a call and he was one hundred percent sure, that he was about to call him, but he was five minutes late. 

"Ahem!" He cleared his throat. "You don't have to call me, I am here already."

"You late!"

"It's just a few minutes." 

"Five minutes to be specific." He rolls his eyes in anger. 

"It's fine, you should let these young ones be." Mr Lim said, making President Harold fake a smile. 

"Greetings Father, Mr. Lim, it's a pleasure having you here." 

"Oh, the pleasure is all mine." Mr Lim replied, making him turn to the side, only to see the damsel smiling sheepishly at him, waiting for him to take her hand. 

"Miss Alicia Lim, good afternoon, She looks beautiful as always." Complimenting her made her blush badly, but that compliment didn't come from his heart. 

"Dante!" 

"Yes, father." 

"You should take your seat beside her.' Harold said, he frowned, his Harold trying to annoy him. Harold didn't give him a second glance. As we were discussing before you arrived, I and Lim, think it's only right that you two get to know yourself. 

"I thought this was business." 

Asking that, Alicia's face darkens, this is an insult to her person, what does he take her for? A cheap girl who is desperate to have her name attached to a man's name. Harold gives him a cold look making him adjust himself. 

"Sure, I will have to make out time for it, when I have less important things." Yet another insulting word coming out of his mouth, so Miss Alicia is less important? Her eyebrows and brow furrowed, she just couldn't hide her anger anymore, Dante sensed it. 

"Oh! What I mean is that we two can make time, so we meet privately not under these circumstances."

"Fine, go sit closer to her." Harold is a bone in Dante's Neck, all these while, he has been standing, but Harold wants him to sit closer to her. 

"Come on. Father, I am sure Miss Alicia doesn't mind, we could talk from wherever position we are, can't we?" He moves his eyes to Alicia, wanting her to use her mouth to say the words. 

"Of course, I don't mind." 

Dante smirked as he sat down afar from her, Alicia was boiling deep inside but she kept faking a smile like some idiot. 

"You see, we are more understanding." 

He finally said after taking his seat, Dante's eyes didn't leave Harold's hand because he kept seeing the hand form a fist and then unclenched fist. 

"Who cares?" Dante is even with him, the old man knows he hates this but he keeps doing this and he is getting worse by the day, he just can't wait for all this to end so he uses the door, he keeps thinking of what to do again, so he could get out of this mess. 

Since the two old men, just keep talking about irrelevant stuff, they are done with the business talk it's only right for them to bid each other bye but no, they refuse to keep quiet. 

Mr Lim turned to Dante all of a sudden. Dante, I see that you have done very well for yourself and the company, maintaining Real Achiever's reputation, as the number one leading company since you became the CEO and I know Harold must be proud of you, for taking after you. 

"Indeed, I am very proud, he did take after me" Dante rolled his eyes, what was the man feeling like, the two hardly agreed on anything, since he and his mother separated the family was not in a good relationship. 

Although, he had all this experience as a good businessman from his father, the hatred he had for his father made him not admit it. 

"Of course, he is the son of his father." As the praises fall on Alicia's ear, she begins to imagine him as her husband, it will not be a bad idea to be the wife of such a man. He seems to have everything, a young man should have. Mr Lim added. 

"Nope! He is not married, he needs a lucky woman to settle down with, so she can produce an heir, the family needs one, you know." Harold had placed the nail on the wall and his next attempt was to hit the nail on the head, Dante was not finding it funny anymore, his brow furrowed deeper.
