. Barbara's eyes don't leave Dante's face, waiting for him to say something, the young man is not making an effort to tell her off.

Alicia was about to drag the chair when Barbara's voice came up. "Courtesy demands that, when you see a boy and girl having lunch, you give them space, you don't become some third wheel"
