Will jolted awake with soft breaths and his eyes met the familiar ceiling dimly lit by the warm bedside lamp, his frozen lids liquified and he exhaled one last time as he accessed his situation. He didn't have a bad dream, talk less of having a normal dream, yet despite that, his body felt uncomfortable and cold even when he had the sheets over him. The memories of the night came back to him and he wondered why he'd cried so much, it was probably a first for him, or no- it was his second. Strangely, he couldn't tell if he felt so relaxed at the minute because he'd just woken up, or his relaxed demeanor was because he had let out his pain along with his tears.
