The dinner wasn't quite smooth if I had to give it a rating on the scale of ten. There was thick tension on the dinner table but Seth said nothing. He mostly focused on his plate and only responded to Ace and Leah.

What was going inside his head? The man couldn't be trusted.

Merissa and her mother talked in hushed voices while Lucas sat cautiously. He was feeling out of the place. I knew this feeling. They used to treat me same once.

After the dinner, Merissa and her family took their leave while I made an excuse to Sebestian that I had to talk to his mother about Ace's upcoming school's annual day function. Ace was going to participate in a drama and his mother knew some people who could help Ace to prepare.

It was partially true though.

"I'll be with my father. I have to scratch his mood to know what he's planning to do next before I present our idea in front of the board members." Sebestian said to me.

I was looking for this opportunity. He'd be busy with his father.
