Chapter 74: She Wants the Truth

As Elaine had already decided to go abroad, she had almost finished packing her luggage. Renee looked at the suitcase placed in the corner and silently sat down on the sofa. She had actually arrived at the Smiths' house half an hour ago, but seeing Elaine's calm demeanor now, she wasn't sure if she should tell her the truth.

"Renee, have some orange juice," Elaine offered her a glass.

Renee took a sip and held the glass in her hand, her fingers tightening slightly.

Elaine noticed her uneasiness and felt her heart start to race. She pulled up a chair next to Renee and casually changed the topic, "I've decided to go to Paris and live with my father. It should be nice."

"Is that so?" Renee responded softly, the words on the tip of her tongue swallowed back. She quietly picked up the glass again and drank half of the orange juice. "Paris is great. I have a classmate there; I can introduce you to her."
