Chapter 140: Kill Her

After dinner, Grant Auntie brought a small stool and sat by the door, gazing at the entrance to the valley. Elaine knew she was worried about Uncle Grant. She handed Grant Auntie a coat, and Grant Auntie suddenly grabbed her hand, saying, "Elaine, you're very fortunate!"

Elaine wanted to ask what she meant, but Grant Auntie seemed reluctant to say more. All Elaine could do was return to the room and ponder over Grant Auntie's words.

Inside the room, Elaine sat on the edge of the bed, holding Aaron's hand. Neither of them spoke, and their moods were equally uneasy. Elaine got up to pour some water and asked Aaron, "Do you want some?"

Aaron shook his head, staring at the deep night outside the window. It appeared to be a normal night, yet for some reason, he felt tension in the air, making it hard to breathe. Something was amiss, very amiss!
