Mitchelle's pov

But if I leave just like that, it would mean I'm not being sincere and regretful. Cause I would be expected to still beg her continuously.

Sigh... I've got to do it. But this time, Ken must plead along with me and not stand behind me while glaring at me like he's disgustingly ashamed of me.

I got on my feet, ran up to Ken, and pulled his hand, "Come on, Ken. Maybe if we pleaded together, Sis Estella would forgive us cause we were both the ones who wronged her. We should plead for her forgiveness together, Ken," I cried out loudly as I pulled on his arm, but this man refused to come with me as he steeled up his whole body from moving an inch.

I gave him a sharp glare with my eyes, then hugged him like I was breaking down into tears. "My sister wouldn't forgive me, Ken. What can I do without her," I cried out louder, pounding hard on his chest like I was feeling hurt and broken from the depths of my heart.

I used the chance of hitting on his chest to whisper some words

Mirabelle's POV. After Mitchelle and Ken left the party, the celebration carried on smoothly. Although some of the paparazzi still came up to me for some questions, thankfully, the guards and Noah handled them carefully.Noah gave some answers to their questions while leaving some unanswered for sensitive reasons. We left the event hall after everything was said and done because it was a rented property.I was the one who brought up the idea of renting an event hall cause I did not want to disclose the location of my home to the Media or anyone else.I've always wanted a peaceful home, and that's what I am working towards. Once we arrived home, Noah helped me prepare dinner while I gave my babies a bath cause I'm sure they'd be worn out by now. After they were done bathing and eating, I put them to bed in their bedroom.I told the boys stories about Peter Pan and then told Mika a Rapunzel story, but they refused to go to sleep, asking me tons of questions about Ken and Mitchelle,

Mirabelle's POV After I had my bath, I felt better than I did before when I snuck into the room a few minutes back.I smiled seductively at him and he raised an eyebrow at me, amusement displayed on his succulent plump pink lips as he stared back at me I couldn't help biting on my lower lip, recollecting how soft his lip tasted while we kissed during the party. As I walked towards the bed, I purposely swayed my hips in an attempt to arouse him again. "What are you up to?" Noah threw back my question from earlier, his eyes never leaving mine as they sometimes traveled down to my boobs and my swaying hips, making me giggle lightly as I stopped on his side of the bed"How about I fulfill your request?" I asked in a whisper and Noah immediately sat up on the bed, his eyes shimmering with excitement In them."You're serious?" He asked doubtfully, 'cause I've played him a lot of times before.Every little thing I did always turned him on, so sometimes I usually used it to make fun of him

Mirabelle's POV."Mummy, why were you crawling underneath the blanket?" Mika asked curiously as her bright eyes gaped at me.I began scanning my head for an excuse to give to her as my lips parted to say some words only for it to end up closing again as I swallowed hard, the taste of Noah's precum going down my throat."Why are you looking so terrified, mum?" Tyler questioned as he climbed up the bed and lay next to me, but the moment he touched my skin, he raised his head at me with his perfectly shaved brows arched as he reached out his hand to touch my face. "You're sweating," He remarked, and my eyes stretched wide open like I'd been caught doing something really bad...Okay, maybe giving Noah a BJ tonight might have been a bad idea after all cause what the hell am I supposed to say to my kids right now?! What explanation do I give to them?! That, oh my dear kids, I was just relieving your father of his sexual urge. After all, we've been away from each other for so long now.Jee

Ken's POV.During the drive back home in the cab, I often raked my fingers through my hair out of frustration, realizing that I was a fool to have ditched Mira! I shouldn't have thrown her out of my life the way I did five years ago. She was lovely, beautiful, innocent, and everything any man would wish for in a wife, but I was just a dickhead! I fucked up the moment I planned on setting her up with a pimp! Now, take a look at who my precious ex-wife ended up with.It was my damn fucking half-brother, who I despised so much! I grind my teeth harshly, letting out a sharp hiss every second as I rake through my hair over again. The cab driver stole glances at me from the rearview mirror each time I lashed out, which was very much expected due to how annoyed and remorseful I was currently feeling.I regretted ever leaving my sweet Mirabelle who later ended up in the dirty hands of Noah Sylvester. I never considered Noah as my brother in any way cause I've always hated him. My hatr

Ken's POV.I returned my thoughts down memory lane of regrets; I doubted Mira would ever give me a second chance cause I had hurt her and still used her pain to my advantage when I sent her a text message for us to meet up at Lorenzo's hotel while she was still at the club. After sending the text, I and Mitchelle paid the pimp, directing him on what to do when Mira arrived. Plus, the cameras were already installed in the room in advance. We left the room, leaving the pimp behind as we went to get the divorce papers which I put my signature on once I had my hands on it. On heading home, I received a video of Mira getting intimate with the pimp, and a wide smile spread across my face, knowing I was almost there. My plans were about the become a reality! However, while I watched the video, I noticed something different about the physique of the pimp. He had a broad and toned back with muscles all over, which seemed different from what I expected to be underneath his clothes, but I

Michelle's POV:I can’t believe Estella threw me out and that worthless Ken abandoned me by the roadside. How crazy! Can things get any worse? As I stepped onto the front porch of the bungalow I shared with Ken, memories of what had happened earlier at the event flooded my mind. I gazed up at the shabby house, trying to understand how everything had gone out of control. I had thought that by taking both my father’s company and Ken from Estella, I would emerge victorious. Instead, I found myself becoming the sore loser, while she once again stood at the top.Deep down, I always wondered if my status as my father’s stepdaughter made me unworthy. Perhaps that’s why he chose to let Mirabelle inherit everything, a decision that made me loathe her even more. Watching her grow up, showered with love and attention that I craved, my jealousy morphed into a deep-seated hatred. Yet, for reasons I couldn’t understand, she always treated me kindly, which only made me disgusted. Her ability to

Mirabelle’s POV:Morning came. Jamie had already taken care of the kids and gotten them ready for school, and the driver had taken them off, leaving me alone in the house. Noah was in the shower, clearly avoiding me after his behavior the night before... He actually pretended to be asleep just to dodge the kids. When he steps out of the bathroom, I will be ready to give him a piece of my mind.I swung my legs out of bed, slipped on my flip-flops, and headed to the table to grab my laptop. It was only a few days since my return from abroad, and I was still struggling with the shocking news about the company Ken and Michelle had taken from me. How had everything crumbled so quickly? The house, the cars—they were all gone. If I didn’t act fast, I feared they might even sell the company.Climbing back into bed, I began scrolling through the research I had done on Ken's business. Over the past five years, they had made crazy decisions, mismanaged transactions, sold shares irresponsibly,

Noah's POV. “Oh, you never mentioned that,” she said, turning to look at me.I had wanted to tell her about my lunch with the investors, but she seemed preoccupied, lost in thoughts, and stressed out lately. So I decided to keep the information to myself.“I guess I forgot,” I said with a shrug, then stood up, walked to the dressing table, and sprayed a mix of Dior and Chanel perfumes. After that, I approached her and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.Noticing how shy she became after the kiss, it was clear she hadn’t gotten over the tension between us from last night. I decided to let her be for a moment, but soon I saw her shyness shift to worry. Her brows furrowed, and her gaze dropped. Just as I was about to ask what was wrong, she spoke up first.“Are you okay? You seem stressed.” She asked, lifting her hands to cup my face.A low smile crept onto my face. She had been quite busy lately, and at first, I thought it was because being here made her miss Ken. CHAPTER 109. Noah's POV. My heart stilled and the feeling inside me was burning. I didn't know how to describe the hurt I felt, looking at this picture. It felt like my whole world shattered just at the glance of one fucking picture. Just one fucking picture. This was so fucking tiring, why did I keep getting hurt like this? The words from when I was young started echoing. “You can never be loved, your mother even left you, so who's a stranger to love you?” The words of my step mother seeped in slowly as everything started to look like a black out. I stared at the picture, Mira, my own Mira was in the picture, locking lips with Ken. My mortal enemy. Did she always have feelings for him? Has she always wanted to go back to him all these years? We even have kids, she had kids for me and she told me she loved me so many fucking times. Was that all a lie? Did she just see me as a safe space for her and her children?I felt moisture rolling down my cheeks and I raised my hand up w

Noah's POV. “What?” I exclaimed, leaning forward to my laptop in disbelief. The private investigator I hired some days ago, was here now, telling me a whole bunch of things that I didn't understand properly. His words hang in the air like a suffocating cloud, making it too hard to breathe. “Noah,” He says, his voice calm, but firm. “I've uncovered something's, but you're not going to like them.”I grip the edge of the table, my knuckles white. “Just tell me, stop beating around the bush.” I told him, because I needed to hear the whole information so I would know what to do about it. “And it's Mr Sylvester.” I added. I didn't like anybody that wasn't close to me calling me by name. Hence, the reason I had to assert the use of my father's name. That was more formal, and we were in a formal setting. “I'm sorry about that, Mr Sylvester. I'll take note of that from now on.” He said and I nodded. Urging him to continue. “Natasha Banks, your childhood friend was the one behind all th

Mirabelle's POV. “He was the one that set the fire.” Morgan revealed. The room spun like a hundred times in a row. I gripped the edge of the desk, my nails digging into the wood. “No that doesn't make any sense at all, Samuel is loyal to Noah. He has always been loyal. He wouldn't–he couldn't–”“He didn't have a choice.” Morgan cut in, his voice heavy. “What do you mean he didn't have a choice? Was he forced?” It almost came out sarcastically as a tear rolled down my cheeks. “Natasha forced him, she held his wife and unborn child hostage. So it would make her record clear. He only did it to protect them.” Morgan said. “But he could have come to me or to Noah at that. We would have done something about it.” I said. “Yes he could have, but not when he had a wire tap on him, and Natasha could hear anything he was doing. She also had a bomb strapped to his wife, so it was his only chance.” Morgan explained. How many things did I know and how many things didn't I know. I thought I

Mirabelle's POV. The afternoon sun streamed through the floor to ceiling windows of my office. Casting golden streaks across the polished oak desk. I sat stiffly in my chair, my fingers gripping the armrests as if they were the only things keeping me tethered from reality. My chest still heaved slightly from the confrontation with the board, the adrenaline refusing to subside. A knock on the door made me glance up. Susie peeked her head in, looking cautious. “Mrs Sylvester, there's a call for you. It's from someone named Morgan.” she said softly, her voice almost trembling. I straightened, the tension in my body coiling tighter. “Put him through.” I told her. She nodded and quickly retreated, I would have liked to ask why she has been acting weird since the boardroom but there were important matters to attend to right now. A second later, the phone on my desk buzzed, I reached for it, my heart pounding as I pressed the speaker button. “Mrs Sylvester, it's Morgan.” the investi

Mirabelle's POV. The moment I stepped into the boardroom, a deafening silence descended like a shroud, all eyes turned towards me, wide with surprise and just a tinge of fear. I could feel the tension crackling in the air as I stood at the head of the table, hands on my hips, my smile never faltering. “Good morning.” I said sweetly, my voice cutting through the silence like razor. “I trust everybody slept well, considering you're all here conspiring against me first thing in the morning.”No one responded immediately. Typical. “Well,” I pressed, my gaze sweeping across the room, “Am I to assume that cat got everyone's tongue, or is this just your pathetic attempt at playing dumb?”“Mrs Sylvester.” A portly man near the middle of the table began hesitantly. It was Mr Armstrong, the supposed head of the board and someone I had barely tolerated since the company began to grow. “This isn't what it looks like….”“Save it.” I interrupted sharply. Raising a hand to silence him. “I'm not

Mirabelle's POV The news about Natasha being the one behind the rumors didn't leave my mind; even by the next morning, I was on my way to work, and that was all I could think about. I mean, it wasn't that deep; if she really wanted my husband, seeing as Noah wanted her too, the least they could do was have each other and leave me out of the picture. What was the need to ruin me along the way? That was what I didn't understand. “Mrs Sylvester, we are here already.” My driver announced, and I came out of my reverie; I didn't even realize that the car had come to a stop already. “Thank you, Raymond.” I thanked the chauffeur. Honestly, I didn't know the courage that brought me to work this morning; maybe part of the reason was that I already knew who was behind this, and I suddenly had that courage that I could pull through this without going under. “Are you sure about this, Mrs Sylvester? The paparazzi are everywhere and won't let you have an easy day.” Raymond shared his concerns

Mirabelle's POV.I stared at the phone in my hand, my heart hammering against my ribcage. The number on the screen wasn't saved, but I recognized it; it was the private investigator I had hired after my conversation with Grandpa Ed. For some weird reason, I was scared to pick up the call. It has been twenty-four hours since I got his number and explained the situation to him, and he told me that the next time he called me, he would have an answer. That time was now, and I was scared as fuck. I really shouldn't be scared because this information was important to me; it would help me know the people around me because I just had that feeling that somebody close to me was behind the whole rumor that had been going on about me. The wine I took from earlier churned uncomfortably in my tummy. I took a deep breath and answered. Well, here goes nothing. I thought as I placed the phone to my ear. “Hello.” “Mrs Sylvester?” He asked in a deep baritone voice. “Yes, you're on to me,” I repl

Noah's POV. The evening sky outside my office window was painted in hues of orange and pink, yet I found no comfort in its beauty. Shanghai’s vibrant and alive skyline felt more like a glided cage. I leaned back in my chair, staring at the phone. My fingers hitched to call her again. But I hesitated. I've left over a hundred missed calls the last few days, and she never willingly calls me back. I only see my wife's face when we speak to our children. Lately, every conversation with Mira had felt strained. Her words were curt, her tone distant. I'd replayed our last exchange countless times, dissecting every word, every pause and sigh. “Don't pretend you don't know what you did.” She said when we talked last. But I can't find anything in my brain that warranted the attitude I got from her. It hurt me because I've fucked up many times, but she kept coming back to me, and now I didn't even know what I did. How could I even comfort her when I was thousands of miles away, tethered to

CHAPTER HUNDRED. Mirabelle's POV. I sat at the edge of my bed, gripping my knees tightly, the sound of my children giggling with their father over the laptop carried through the walls. But it only intensified the ache in my chest; why was this so hard? Why couldn't I make sense of what I wanted anymore? I didn't want whatever was going on between Noah and me to affect the relationship with our children, but it seemed I was heading in that direction, and I wanted to stop it. God knows I want Noah so fucking much; he was there for me when Ken and my sister did me dirty, and Noah gave me no space to be miserable, but what was I supposed to do now that I realised that he was the same as his stepbrother, my ex-husband?After all, they were blood brothers. I wish to control my emotions and not feel anything, but unfortunately, that can't be done. The door creaked open, and Mika’s head popped in, her curls bouncing. “Mummy, daddy said he loves you.”She said with the kind of certainty
