Crystina's POVIt's been over a month since Luka let everyone know what has been going on within the pack and I also found out about his uncle for the first time in eleven years. I was actually surprised when Paige told me about it and I found it hard to believe. I had to ask Luka about it and he confirmed. Luka's POVMy heart ached as I watched Crystina crying, blaming herself for the risk she and her baby would be facing. I didn't know what else to say to make her believe that it wasn't her fault. Things get complicated in life sometimes and during those times, we try to find an explanation as to why things are like that but unfortunately, we don't get to know why most of the time.After she calmed down, we went back to the doctor's office to let him know we'll be going ahead with the pregnancy. Crystina's POVI opened my eyes the next morning to sunlight streaming into the room. I groaned, closed my eyes back, and covered my eyes with my arm. I turned on my side to avoid the light but something heavy was stopping me from making the movement. Sluggishly I opened my eyes again, getting them adjusted to the light before I looked down to my waist and saw Luka's large arm pinning me down to the bed.I turned my head to stare at his sleeping form. Luka's POV The next morning after breakfast, I got a call from my Beta, Baba, because of an emergency. It's been up to three days since I left the responsibility of the pack on his shoulder and told him to only call me when there was an emergency. Knowing he had a family of his own and would probably love to spend time with that, I had to explain to him what happened between Crystina and the baby and how I would also relieve him of his duties when I fully resume.
