Luka's POV Crystina was excited about seeing Paige. She didn't stop talking about it for several hours and when she insisted on speaking with her, Gabriel told her Paige was resting. Crystina only believed Gabriel's words after he sent her a picture of Paige at his pack’s hospital. That only made the situation worse because Crystina started crying after she saw Paige in that condition. Gabriel had to assure her that Paige was fine and that calmed Crystina down. She began smiling again and I couldn't help the smile that lingered on my face. She kept on talking about it and we decided to pick Paige up in two days. Around four in the evening, we left the apartment. I was to address the Elders and important people in the pack about the recent development while Crystina will share the good news with Paige’s parents. As we walked into the hall, several unexpected people were waiting. I don't know how the small meeting hall could take so many of them in such an orderly manner but it gave m
Paige's POVMy eyelids fluttered open and I took a deep breath. I just had another horrible nightmare and this time, I was being pulled apart by a vampire. My night had been filled with a series of horrid and terrible nightmares but each time I woke up, the injection I was given takes me back to slumberland and dropped me in the midst of another nightmare. It was a fucking cycle that I prayed would stop but I was too sleepy to even fight sleep and stay awake. At some point, I felt a presence around me and I was able to sleep without any nightmares until the last one I had just now before I woke up.I closed my eyes and opened them again when I realized the effect of the drugs had worn off and I was indeed awake finally without having to go back to sleep. I sat up on the hospital bed and the first thing I saw was Azel sleeping on a couch. It was almost as if Azel was sitting on nothing because the poor couch was invisible from bearing Azel's weight. I feel pity for that couch. Azel's
Paige's POV"Luka and Crystina are on their way," He announced. "What?" I asked in disbelief.I shifted closer to him with a huge smile on my face. His back was still turned to me as he focused his attention on the meal. He was as tall as Azel but not as big as him. They both are standing at six or seven feet while the five feet plus ten inches me look up at him. My height stopped at his chest and I guess that could still be considered tall enough, right? "I called them yesterday while you were at the hospital and they told me they’ll be coming today," He finally turned to face me. That was when I was able to see his total appearance in broad daylight. That was also the first time I noticed his beautiful eyes. One eye was ocean blue while the other was light green. His eyes are so beautiful and I could keep looking for eternity. His dark blonde hair was sleeked back while some strands were standing on his face separately. His plump lips fitted just right with his perfectly shaped
Crystina's POVLuka and I were on our way to see Paige and I can't contain my excitement. The news of her well-being was a relief to me and I'm glad I didn't lose both Paige and my baby at the same time. "Are you that excited to see her?" Luka asked. He held my hand and kissed my palm. I gave him a huge smile. "Of course. I'm so happy that she's fine," We were almost at the pack when Gabriel sent a new location to Luka and when he entered it into the GPS, it was directly opposite Lucien's kingdom. I was skeptical for a few minutes about the change but I soon stopped talking about it when he assured me that everything was fine."Paige’s parents acted weird when I talked to them yesterday," "What happened?" He glanced through the side mirror to check if the warriors were still driving after us. We had left the pack in the company of four warriors and two cars.Luka thought it would be safer if we didn't go alone. We drove in a separate cars so we could have our privacy."When I told
Luka's POVAs soon as we walked into the house, I bow my head in a respectful courtesy and Gabriel did the same. The girls soon huddled up together, talking about how much they missed each other and how sorry they were. They were too engrossed in their world to even notice any other person in the room. I know just how much Paige means to Crystina. I mean, at some point I felt like the side chick. I was jealous of what they had and I always wished I could have the same with Crystina.During the past few weeks, I'd learned that I'm also important to my mate and when she told me she loves me, I swore never to break her heart or hurt her feelings. I promise to cherish her, respect her, and love her for the rest of my life. A hand landed on my shoulder, pulling me out of my thoughts. My eyes slide away from the girls and I turn to see it was Gabriel. He gestured for me to follow him and his brother, Azel. "You guys don't look alike," I pointed out as we walked into a room that looked lik
Paige’s POV"I really don't know if he's okay, Paige. I only saw him last after he told me he was going for you," My shoulders slumped at the thought of Samer being hurt or even in danger. Samer meant a lot to me and I would hate to see him in trouble. "So, you didn't see him at the pack too," I asked. She nodded and I turned back to my food, forcing the tears burning at the back of my eyes to not fall. We've moved our conversation to the room where I changed earlier. We both sat on the reading chairs that were there while my plate of unfinished breakfast sat on the table. "I'm sure he'll be fine," Crystina assured me. "I'm sure he'll be too, I really do hope so. He could've just saved himself instead of going after me. That would’ve helped him,"She hugged me while I rested my arms on the table. I pushed the plate away from me and smiled as Crystina tickled me. God! I missed her so much. She lifted her head, raised an eyebrow then lifted my arm a little. I whimpered. She lifted
Paige's POVHis son is also my mate! I didn't say that out loud because I didn't even know how to tell Crystina about that fact. Ever since my mom told me about Lucien, I'd harbored a hatred for him. He turned me into a useless wolf without thinking twice, every anger of me had been fueled by the thoughts of him but now, I'm humbled by the fact that I'm mated to his son and I don't even find it in my heart to hate both Gabriel or Azel. I didn't set my eyes on Gabriel all day and neither did Crystina see Luka so we had to spend the rest of the day together. We talked about almost everything. She gave me her phone and I called my parents. They were really happy to hear my voice and my dad asked me to come home as soon as possible. I promised them I would. They were worried about their kid being back at a place they hated the most. "Lest I forget, Nico said hi," I raised an eyebrow not believing her."Don't mess with me?" Even though Crystina and Nico had a fallout because of Luka, I
Gabriel's POV I barged out of the room angrily. This was the second time she would be referring to that stupid boyfriend of hers and every time she did, something ripped inside of me. I wish I can lay my hands on the guy and tear him apart for staring at my girl, for talking to her, or even standing beside her.Your girl! Didn't you want to reject her anymore? My wolf, Gladys asked.Shut the fuck up. I spat in response. You can't deny that you like her. You're just scared you'll hurt her if she stays with you. Isn't it better if I let her go to leave her life? It's too dangerous for her to stay here.Just know if you let her go, it'll kill her and if she stays without you marking her, it'll kill her too. Her wolf isn’t strong enough to handle rejection, remember thatWhat else am I supposed to do then? I asked him.Protect her, Gabriel. That's all you can do for her. As soon as the conversation ended, I walked out of the house and broke into a run, shifting halfway for Gladys to ta
