Chapter 26

Mason POV

Again, for the fifth time, I dialed Melissa's number, hoping it would miraculously go through, but that was the dumbest thing I could ever think of. She blocked me already, so how the heck was her number supposed to go through? This was all my fault. If only I had given her time and attention, maybe this wouldn't have happened. I was too glued to my work that I didn't even notice I was hurting her.

Taking a deep breath, I threw my phone on my king-sized bed, leaving for the balcony to get fresh air and clear my head. Leaning over the rail, I stared down at the compound. The view from up here was beautiful, especially as I could see the whole outline of the house and the compound. The parking lots had many cars which included mine and my little sister's. The outdoor pool had the cleanest water, and the waterfall was everything to make the place so attractive. Our house was rated amongst the top five most beautiful and biggest houses in LA.
