Chapter 18 Save By The Enemy

**Caden's POV***

I can't believe this, so it was Rachel all along?

I couldn't help blaming myself for my poor judgment as we marched towards the forbidden room. Getting there, we saw the room wide open.

Immediately we all rushed in only to see two soldiers heavily wounded and lying on the floor. But there was no trace of Alana, though her scent was perceived strongly in the room. This only means she was indeed here before.

“Where the f*ck is Alana!?” Jayden thundered, grabbing one of the soldiers on his chin.

"Sh…she escaped!” He managed to mutter.

“What? She escaped? How's that even possible? How dare you lie to us!”

"No! I'm not lying about this at all. She indeed escaped. You must believe me."

“Argh!” In anger, Jayden knocked the wounded soldier and he passed out at once.

“What exactly are we supposed to do now? Where could she have gone?” Aiden asked.

I was deeply confused and troubled and so was Jayden.

“You know what? I don't think we can find her this way.”

Jayden and I took ou
