My mom narrated everything that happened to her after I had left. Honestly, what she told me wasn't what I had expected to hear. I thought she'd tell me how badly she was being treated in the Blood Rose pack.

“Mom, you mean you weren't treated for the years I was gone?”

“I wasn't my love. Isn't it strange? When you left, I was so ready for whatever treatment I might have to face, but was shocked when none of that happened to me.”

This baffled me greatly. So, Caden was right when he said my mom had been living in comfort. I didn't believe what he said back then because I thought he was saying all that just to get me to go back to the pack. What excites me most was when my mom told me Alpha Wade still hasn't woken up from coma. Finally, the goddess is on our side.
