Chapter Ten.

"Ahh," I shrieked, my soul almost leaving my body as I shut my eyes tight, expecting to feel the sting of the pain on my cheek.

"Stop."

The whole place went eerily quiet, "Release her." His tone was calm, yet authoritative. I felt my arm being hesitantly let go by the terrifying man.

My eyes slowly fluttered open. My breath hitched in my lungs as my gaze unhurriedly moved to Aleric.

For the first time, I saw Aleric light up a cigarette and took a drag from it before puffing it into the air.

My jaw dropped open when the whisps of dark smoke hovered over his handsome features as they danced after he had puffed the smoke in the air. He looked dangerous, yet inviting.

To be honest, I knew whatever Aleric was doing was annoying, but I felt drawn to him for reasons I had no idea of.

Yesterday morning, when I ran up to Lisa, I felt Aleric unknowingly graze his finger against my skin but I felt a spark that ran down my spine. It felt like an electric spark sending a surge of feelings all
