Walking out of the pack's hospital Brandon could feel Aero's sadness, neither Aero nor himself felt comfortable leaving their mate in a bed by herself. Rubbing the back of his neck, Brandon tried to control the anger growing in him. Even though Morana couldn't talk, her action made it clear that even if she could, she wouldn't have. Brandon could smell the fear coming from her, and he knew she was afraid of him.
Morana had only concentrated on Brandon when the anesthesia was in her system. He was never one to ask fora woman's attention, but he wanted Morana’s. Brandon wanted to memorize her face, he wanted to hear her voice. There were so many things he wanted to do, like telling his pack that Morana was his mate, not someone who forced their mark on her.Brandon was her true mate, and Morana was hers. 'Do you think she is upset with us?’ Aero asked sadly. Brandon only frowned and looked at his house behind the pack house, ‘Why are we keeping her a secret? Why can't we say she's our mate?’ He asked. Walking towards the wooden steps, Brandon raced up the steps and onto the porch, fumbling with his keys to unlock the door, ‘Because we can't always be there to protect her. I have a feeling whoever hurt her is in this pack.’ he said to his wolf and walked towards the kitchen grabbing a bottle of orange juice and pouring a glass.“I want everyone to know she's our mate-“ Brandon cut him off quickly by saying ‘It's because she's marked. Y-You're ashamed of our mate?’ Aero sounded sad and mad at the same time when he said the last sentence, Brandon could not deny that he was right. her was ashamed that Morana had been marked. To be seen with a marked female is truly scandalous, even if they were true mates.Brandon’s reputation would be considerably damaged. But, the only way to remove that mark was to cut it out or to have the man remove it himself and Brandon couldn't bring himself to do that to her. Walking away from the kitchen her went up the stairs and into his office. Brandon took a look at the small stack of paperwork in bandages, piled on his desk. He could smell the lingering scent of his beta Jon all over his office, letting Brandon know that he had been there that day. He sat on his chair, finally taking the time to have a look at the texts that Alpha Kevin had sent, all making him disappointed. Brandon placed his head in his hand, clearly needing a break from hunting and caring for his mate, only one name rang through his head and he decided to call her.Two weeks had flown by since Morana woke up and her wounds had head quite nicely, just yesterday Amanda had snuck in scissors and some combs to help cut her hair. Amanda however did not have a lot of experience with cutting and had cut her hair a bit too short, now it rested just above her shoulder, clinging around her chin.Morana now sat in the bed by herself, looking down at her hands. Her back and chest were covered in bandages she now wore what Amanda has called scrub pants, they were black and comfortable. Brandon hated the socks they gave her and refused to wear them. Last week, she spent her time in bed crying over the pain. Morana cried for what had happened to her, and the nightmares plagued her nights. This week however, Morana started it with ignoring the pain, ignoring the pain medicine Amanda tried to give her. She spent her time raging, Morana had her left foot over her right leg allowing some coverage as she looked at the scalpel in her hand. Morana had found it in one of the cabinets and was currently twisting it in her palm.HHontas had returned just two days before and Morana was thankful to have her back tough something had changed in her as well. HHontas was mad that she wasn't there to see their mate. But she was even more mad at how he never returned to the room.‘What do you plan on doing?’ HHontas asked as they stared at the sharp end. Her lip smirked as Morana looked at her shoulder wanting nothing more than to get rid of it. she could hear HHontas howl in approval, ‘Get it off our skin for good!’ HHontas said. Morana hesitated for a moment before walking towards the bathroom. The girl in the mirror didn't look like the girl she had seen in the lake. her reflection had changed. This girl glared back at her, she had a swollen face and hateful blue eyes. She had on a short top which gave Amanda easy access to her wounds. Bandages still wrapped around Morana’s body as her blue eyes looked at the mark, she was ready to cut it out.The girl at the lake held happiness in her eyes Morana couldn't even begin to describe, this one held anger and rage. Morana lifted my arm, HHontas purred in her chest as she brought the scalpel to her pale skin and dug the blade in. As soon as the blade pierced through the skin, she could feel the jolt of icy pain in her body. Her heart raced as she continued to pull the blade down. Morana’s breathing turned to pants and her skin turned sweaty as she continued to yank the blade down.Accidently cutting some areas that didn't have the mark. HHontas cheered when she had finished cutting the mark. The area was now a gaping hole of dark red blood that flowed down the skin and onto the bandages. The darkness however, that had been the mark was completely gone from her skin. HHontas howled in happiness, maybe mate will come back-' she started to cheer but stopped. “No HHontas.” Morana said in a stern voice, “Our mate hasn’t come to visit us for two weeks! He scares me, we don't want him. I want to go back to the forest-“‘We need a mate Morana. We deserve a mate.' HHontas said, Morana could see her eyes shift to a gold color as she looked in the mirror. HHontas was in charge as she looked at their body. “We don't deserve a mate like that. We’ll only ring him pain” Morana whispered to her wolf. HHontas knew it was the truth as she let out a whimper and allowed her back in charge.Morana’s face was growing rounder and my blue eyes seemed to shine in the white room. She had taken a shower this morning and her hair looked darker as it fell in wet strands. She took one of the rags and held it to the new wound. Morana watched the white rag turn into a dark red. Putting pressure on the wound for a while until her hand was covered in blood. She then let the rag go and threw it in the trash as she went out of the room to grab more wrapping gauze.Locking herself in the bathroom, Morana wrapped herself from her torso to over her shoulder. She wanted to leave the hospital today, “no matter what” she thought to herself. Morana walked out of the bathroom and paced along the tile floor, putting the scalpel in her pants. ‘What if mate comes for us?’ Hontas asked in a small voice. Morana snorted at the thought, He hadn't come for two weeks. She failed to believe that she would come now. “Our other half sucks.” she added. As if on cue Amanda walked into the room holding a tray of food. She looked at Morana with a raised brow, "Look at you. Pacing" She said and brought the food to the bed, "Come and eat." She said. Morana looked at the food on the tray, almost causing her to salivate, it smelt lovely, she was getting distracted, Morana then looked at Amanda. she pointed towards the door and Amanda sighed understanding her unspoken words, "You know I can't let you leave. The doctor has to approve your discharge." She said.Morana nodded and pointed at the door again, they had this conversation every day, and every day it ended the same. Amanda looked at Morana and sighed softly as she shook her head, "Jane, just eat." But she continued to refuse, shaking her head and walked towards the door."What do you think you are you doing?" Amanda asked as Morana opened the door, surprised to find it unlocked. "Stop!" Amanda yelled and reached for her hand. Morana struggled against her hold and shook her head, "Okay, I'll get the doctor. But you have to eat your food!" She said. Taking deep breaths through her nose Morana nodded and walked towards the bed.Amanda held her promised and went to find Dr. Linn while Morana ate as much food as she could sitting on the bed and waiting for the Doctor. She pushed the plate away and then finished the milk carton. It took a while but Dr. Linn entered the room with a small smile, "Someone has been telling me you want to leave." He said and raised an eyebrow. Morana nodded eagerly as she looked towards him."Well let's see if you are ready." He said. Hontas growled as he took a step towards them, but she allowed Morana to take charge as she tilted her head slightly. Dr. Linn took a physical exam, checking her heart, lungs and reflexes. He unwrapped her bandages, and didn't say anything when he saw the mess she had made of the mark.He did eye her for a moment obviously worried about her. Dr. Linn then changed the dressing and placed some kind of lotion on her back and shoulder. The coolness instantly took the pain away as he tightly wrapped her body. "Alright, well everything looks good. You just need to wait for the Alpha-" Panicked Morana shook her head quickly, "I can't discharge you until he comes here. He brought you in."What a complete lunatic! This time Morana growled as she looked at the doctor. ‘Morana, we should at least say goodbye.’“I reject him.” in he said in a stern voice, she will reject him. ‘Morana-‘ This time her growl was louder as she fought with Hontas. Morana closed her eyes as she tried to take charge and gritted her teeth. She looked up at Dr. Linn with hateful eyes as she shook her head. He sighed and turned towards Amanda, "Nurse, get the Alpha here." He said in a stern voice. Morana growled again in warning as he looked at her, "And restrain her." He added. Amanda grabbed her wrist and Morana jerked away from her, letting out a shout as she pushed against the bed."Calm down Jane, you will hurt yourself." Amanda said in a calm voice. But calm was the last thing she was as she looked at Dr Linn grab a syringe, "We don't growl at people." He said. Morana only growled louder as she kicked the man away from my her. Shielding herself from him. Amanda wrapped an arm around her neck trying to hold her still.Dr. Linn grabbed hold of her arm; a growl resonated through the room but the growl that filled the room wasn't hers. Dr. Linn immediately stopped what he was doing. Amanda continued to place Morana in restraints as she looked away from the door."What is going on here?" Brandon’s voice growled out; his aura was thick with tension. Hontas howled at the thought of her mate being in the same room as her, and then stopped once he was close enough to smell. Then she growled at the stench that lingered around him."Alpha, we were restraining her." Dr. Linn said as he looked at Morana, "She wanted to go." He said."So, knocking her out is the way to go? You couldn't just ask me to come here?" Brandon's voice asked ashe got closer to her, "I’ll take her home with me." "Alpha, I’d advise against that." Dr. Linn said as Brandon grabbed the restraint and ripped it off, "Alpha, you don't understand-" Dr. Linn tried to say, but he stopped talking as Brandon continued to remove Morana’s restraints. Her breathing quickened as he released the last restraint. Everyone was still as she laid on the bed for a moment. Then jumped from it and pushed her body against Brandon's large chest. Morana pushed with everything she had but it wasn’t enough and she fell to the ground, she grabbed the scalpel and pushed it against Brandon’s neck as his hazel eyes widened. She could smell multiple female scents on him, and Hontas took charge. Morana’s teeth were replaces with long sharp canines as she growled loudly, her legs straddling his waist as she leaned down to him. Hontas leaned her face down to Brandon’s neck and took in a deep breath, growling once again. Tears threatening to leave her eyes as she stared at Brandon's face. "I.." she pronounced and took in a deep breath, "R-r-reje-e-ect, y-y-0-ou." Morana said and allowed Hontas to shift as they took off towards the open door. That night Aero stayed up through the night, howling in pain whenever Brandon will spend nights anywhere that wasn’t beside his mate. The wolf wanted nothing more than to spend his time with Morana and he made know every single hour. He was unhappy that Brandon spent his nights with un-mated females, that they were welcomed in any house they stopped by.Aero hated Brandon whenever thought of Morana almost rejecting them. She was beautiful, perfect in every way and what Brandon was doing was hurting himself as well. But he couldn't help but feel disappointed, he was meant to be glad the moon goddess had given him a mate after he had lost all hope of finding one. What he couldn’t understand was why did she give him one who was afraid of him?How was she to run a pack along with him if she cowered at the mare sound of his voice? Brandon couldn't picture her being a strong Luna, she would always be in need of guarding and he would constantly be in fear of losing her. There is no way to le
It has been two weeks since Morana found out that Brandon was on the search for her and she’d stayed beside Brandon as he searched for 'Serena's daughter', keeping her secret to herself. If he only knew the dangerous rouge he wanted dead was sitting right beside him. Hontas was tasked with keeping Morana calm at all times and not allow herself to get distracted. So Morana kept her focus on Brandon. It was getting difficult to be around Brandon for long, Morana was always on edge, waiting for the moment when he would snap. Waiting for him to hurt her, but he never lost control of his anger. Brandon never even got frustrated around her. The females were long in the past but Morana had to remind herself to keep a distance from him. She should be angry; five days wasn't enough but for some reason Morana had completely forgiven the idiot. Out of all the men she’d known, Brandon was the only one who exercised patience with her. Sometimes during the day, he would say a word asking her to r
Sitting in a tub, Morana crossed her ankles while she looked at the bubbles that covered her chest. Her brown hair was up in a half pony tail the escaping hairs resting with a hot rag that was against her neck. Morana moved in the tub and looked at the white wall write in front of her. Two weeks had gone by and she had started to feel comfortable living with Brandon, Morana hadn't seen Cameron since he was appointed her Beta, since then, Brandon had been by her side this whole time. Though, today he would be leaving to the pack house so Cameron will be coming to the house to watch her. Hontas purred in Morana’s head when she lifted her arm and watched the bubbles fall down her skin, Morana couldn't help but giggle at the fluffy, soapy creation. She hadn't had a bath before, or maybe she just couldn't remember taking a bath. Brandon had made her the bath and promised to make breakfast before he left. All these seemed too good to be true, Morana couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as
Cameron and Morana watched so many movies as the snow fell heavily outside. Cameron had turned the heat up multiple times through the day but Morana was still cold. Grabbing a blanket Morana leaned against the couch and continued to watch a movie about cowboys. Cameron turned out to be quite a clown and made silly jokes throughout all the movies. The time Morana spent with him was comforting, very awkward at first but it blossomed to something warm and sweet. His jokes were funny, Morana had a hard time not laughing at him, but that didn’t make the need for her mate dwindle, she still wanted Brandon back. Cameron was very tensed at first when he sat close to Morana on the couch, but he was slowly able to relax. That was until the sun started to set, the cold wind blew against the open windows and the snow seemed to blanket everything in sight, the two sat by the window, watching the shift in the lightness outside. Very slowly Cameron turned towards Morana, his face turning serious a
Walking out of the room Morana turned to Brandon's office, she peeked in to see him pacing the room as he held a hand to his forehead while speaking on the phone. He looked stressed, his hair was all over the place and he had dark and heavy bags around his eyes, Brandon growled and mumbled on the phone, "Fine." He said and ended the call. He turned towards the door and stopped as he caught sight of Morana, "I didn't think you would come." He said and frowned as he looked at the phone, "I have to leave" He said sadly. Morana softly sighed in response, her confidence fell in waves but, she tried to hide her disappointment, keeping a poker face as she leaned against the wall."of c-course." She whispered causing Brandon to sigh and grabbed a jacket. "A visitor was supposed to arrive tomorrow. But apparently they decided today was better." Brandon explained. Morana’s eyes widened in fear and Brandon walked towards her. He leaned down and placed a warm kiss on her forehead, "If you would
Brandon’s mind was weightless after the night he’d spent with Alpha Kelvin. He’d stumbled on the wooden stairs as Cameron angrily stomped away, not even acknowledging Brandon as he made his way home, Cameron didn't bow, he held his head high as he walked past his Alpha. Brandon could smell the rage on his skin as he shifted into his gray wolf and rushed into the woods. Brandon looked back at Cameron and blinked slowly as he turned into the house. He closed the door loudly and dragged himself to their room. He just couldn't wait to hold his mate, Brandon climbed in the bed to find the sheets cold to the touch. It was a slap in the face, a cold awakening to the fact that Morana had once again left their room for the guest room, a rush of anger coursed through him as he made his way towards the guest door surprised when he found it locked. Sighing loudly Brandon pushed off the door and stumbled back into their room angry at the fact that Morana would lock a door on him? On him? The one
The moment Brandon got to the pack house he went straight to his office, looking around for any trace of the poison. There were still whiskey glasses out from the night before, and now that he was sober, Brandon could smell the Wolfshaze. “How did I not notice” he thought to himself, the lavender scent was so potent, it stung going down. Aero should have known, but Brandon knew better than to place any blame on him, Brandon could hear Aero whimper and cried from our actions last night. So many thoughts flooded through Brandon’s mind as he thought about his mate “How could we ever get our mate to forgive us? Would she be able to forgive us? We hurt her” they could feel the emotional and physical pain flowing from her. They’d marked her without seeking her permission. Brandon couldn’t help but think that they were no better than the men who had hurt her before. Brandon sat at his chair and opened the laptop looking through the files on the female rogue. Alpha Kevin was finally able to
Morana had been telling the truth, she'd always told the truth, and Brandon had ignored all her attempts to reason with him. He hated himself for all he had done, he’d been nothing but a monster to his innocent mat, Brandon hated himself for all he did to her. What haunted him more was the fact that he didn't believe in his mate, he was unable to feel her true feelings.Though the feeling of rage and anger had blinded him, it was no excuse for his mistreating her, there was nothing Brandon could say to change Morana’s mind now. Aero had even turned away from Brandon as he sat in the cell, he had forced her to stay in. Morana, now he had a name to the woman who held his heart in the palm of her hands, her name complemented her fully, yet his beautiful mate had rejected him. And Brandon couldn't find a good enough reason why he shouldn't accept it, even though he didn't want to.If he was to be in her shoes, Brandon would have rejected himself way before now. The one who wouldn't accep
A few minutes later, Morana heard Brandon run up the stairs, “Just checking, so do you want to go food shopping? Or should i just order something?" He asked. After having such a long day shopping for clothes, Morana didn think she had it in her to shop for anything, the thought of it made her feel sick in the stomach, and grocery stores were worse, the store always seemed to be too hot and the food was too pricey. It was way worse than shopping for clothes in her opinion, Brandon always said not to worry about the price but she still found herself worrying about the price. "I don't mind eating in." She said and looked over to him with a big smile, "If we go you'll spend a lot of-""I told you not to worry about that."Brandon said as he looked over at her, "Our pack is wealthy. We even get money from the humans." He added. "Why do humans pay you money?" She asked and tilting her head, confused, it was her first time hearing of this."Well, only the high up in human territory kno
Brandon opened the jeep door and took a hold of Morana’s hand as she got down, staring at the large house in front of her. Morana’s heart pounded loudly in her chest as she held onto randon's hand. They silently walked towards the stairs, leading to what Morana guessed was Brandon's room. Once up the stairs Morana noticed just how big the pack house must be with so many doors leading to goddess knows where, Brandon opened the first door and pulled her into the first set of doors in the pack's house. Then the room blew warm air towards her face with multiple coats hanging on the wall.Morana’s confidence hit rock bottom along with her stomach once she heard men shouting, staring at the TV while sitting on a white sofa to the right. She watched them, so glued to the screen that they didn’t seem to notice that they had walked into the house. She noticed some of them had some things in their hands as they pressed the buttons frantically. The boys didn’t look older than sixteen and were
Brandon’s eyes followed his mate as she went into a store. Her bags were still hanging from her hand as she picked up a white shirt before he exhaled andI turned to Rose. He hadn't seen her since she left for an official meeting at the Red Moon Pack. She was from the White Wolves pack. A small pack that never caused him problems. But, upsetting and disrespecting his Luna caused enough to make her a threat. Rose was a wonderful warrior and that was what had drawn him to her, she was carefree and had a wild side to her. Now, he needed to put a stop to whatever it was she was thinking. Brandon took a step away from her and smoothened his shirt, not forgetting to wipe off what remnant she might have left on his lips. "Rose." he said and looked down at her brown eyes, "I-""I've called you, why haven't you answered? We were supposed to get together when I returned but you seem to be busy with pack duties, I haven't even been able to catch a glimpse of you" She asked and frowned, very s
Brandon being able to hear and practically see Morana’s thoughts was very facinating to her, and she could hear and see his. The hurt and misunderstandings were over, Now that she could feel all that he felt she could find it in her to fight, especially now that she knew just how good her body could feel in his, She never wanted it to stop. For the past two days, Brandon seemed to agree with They rolled in bed and moved all around the room going again and again until they passed out from sheer pleasurable.Brandon was insatiable, he couldn’t get enough of Morana, no matter how many times he had had her, or how long he spent learning every curve, dip and swell of her body, once she was up, they were back at it.It wasn't until the second day they were able to separate from each other without feeling torn from th
Finally! Jon and Amanda had said their goodbyes and as they went out the door, Morana was finally able to breath. Since her little conversation with Amanda, Morana noticed the she-wolf had become silent, sporting a worried look on her face. Amanda had tried miserably to hide her confusion, curiosity and doubt concerning her mate, and as much as Morana was glad that Amanda had started to doubt her mate is the perfect man she had always thought he was, she felt bad for her new friend who seemed to be battling with the news she just got. If only she had more control of her wolf, these days she seemed to be a completely different woman, some days she loved it, other days, like today, she wished her wolf listened to her more. While she pondered on how much she had changed, Brandon stood in front of the closed-door string at the intriguing woman who seemed to have transformed completely in just a few days. He wanted to ask her what had happened to cause the swift change since the day he had
“It took me two batches but I think I finally got it,” Morana said smiling brightly as they stepped back into the dining, “it’s my take on berry pies, I made a Berry Ice-cream pie”, she announced when they got to the table. Brandon was still recovering from her one-eighty shift in countenance; Morana ignored his confused look and instead spoke to him with the sweetest smile. “The weather is lovely today; I think it would be wonderful to have this on the porch, don’t you?”Brandon just kept on staring at her like she had grown another head, “Brandon! Did you hear what I said?” coming out of his dazed state, Brandon shook his head returning her smile “yeah, it’s too lovely to remain in doors. Why don’t you beautiful ladies head on out while we grab a bottle of Falerum and some glasses”Morana smiled sweetly at Amanda and helped usher her to the porch, the two sat on the comfortable swing Brandon had made as an apology only a few days ago. The contraption was a piece of art, carefully woven
Jon was the first person to catch Morana’s eyes once the door opened, she had practiced how she would avoid seeing him today and yet at the first chance she got Morana caught herself looking at the man who hunted her dreams. The big bad wolf, literarily, who had used her like a piece of rag and tossed her out to die. Today, as she stood by her mate, with her eyes set on the man who months ago could make her feel small just by his gaze, Morana realised that all her fear was for naught. Not only was Jon unable to harm her any more, but now she had more power than he could dream of. Taking a deep breath, she let go of all the pent-up anxiety and fear that had built up since she was informed of the meeting, this was her territory, her pack and no one was going to force her out of it.She gave one last glance at the beta before turning her gaze to sweet Amanda, today was going to be like every normal dinner and Morana was not going to let anyone ruin… especially not her angry wolf. “Amand
‘She held our hand, mate just made hand contact’ Aero kept chanting right from the house till they got into the car and it was starting to get on Brandon’s nerves, “will you shut it already? Any louder and she’ll hear you” he tried reprimanding his wolf. ‘Let her, I don’t mind at all, I could die a happy man’ was Aero’s snarky come back, the wolf had been waiting for a sign from Morana , to show she was starting to heal, that she could one day forgive them. All it took was for her to take their hand, to reach out first, to crave for contact and take it. Now he was the luckiest being alive, his mate would come around and finally they would be one again.“You sound like a creep, things are going well these days but don’t read too much into this, she only held our hand, she didn’t declare her undying love for us so calm your shit” Brandon warned, not wanting to raise his hopes any higher. True Morana holding his hand willingly came as a shock and a very happy surprise at that but he didn
Sophia was unsure whether if she should be worried or amused. Morana had carried on like nothing had happened, she want about the market with a smile on her face, happily greeting pack members as she passed. Cameron seemed to share in her confusion “is it just me or does Morana seem…creepy?” he whispered as their Luna as she smelt some fresh tomatoes, the smile tattooed on her lips. “I’m both scared and impressed” Sophia admitted with a sigh “should we really keep what just happened from Alpha?” he asked still keeping his eyes on Morana.“I don’t know what to do” was her simple reply as she brushed her fingers through her hair. “Let’s see how things work out, if something like that should ever happen again we run straight to Alpha okay? But till then let’s just keep our eyes on Mo for now”. Cameron agreed with her decision, there was no point in telling the Brandon about what had transpired in the house, especially since Morana was fine now. There was also the fact that none of them w
