"WHO THE FUCK TOLD YOU TO DO THIS?"
Christopher shouted making Serena flinch as her eyes enlarged at his sudden unexpected outburst, that was not the response she was expecting indeed.
"You always do what you don't mean?"
Christopher scoffed out of mock while watching her crying.
He wouldn't hurt her, he knew his limits but he hates woman who play such an innocent card to get into his pants.
He wasn't sure about her much but he absolutely wasn't going to believe that she was being genuine with him.
Why would someone be this nice without any reason? Christopher just hated her.
Was she really the type he was thinking her to be? Was she really like the kind of those he have encountered before?
"I-I am sorry!"
Serena shuttered covering her mouth with her palm to contain her sobs in, soon turning around to run upstairs to her room then.
All day of labour ended up in such humiliation. She couldn't think much, she was hurt but complaining about her issues was a far harsh thing she could do.
She was just a guest after all.
Christopher's chest moved up and down in rebel, still glaring at her running upstairs, the smell of homemade food made him more angry as he smashed his hands on the table with a thud again.
Food was still warm, seemed like she was waiting for him to join right after. Christopher couldn't take all that attention from her.
He was not used to this much care, that to from an unknown woman!
Still in the heated moment of anger, his phone then rang on the pocket of his jeans as he strengthened up in wrath. Pulling the cell phone out and looking at the caller ID he only clenched his jaw before angrily clicking on it.
"WOULD YOU STOP CALLING ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN?"
Next second shouting over the phone, he sounded obviously very mad.
But being unbothered by his rudeness the person on the other side spoke in a tone which seemed like she was used to such kinds of treatments.
"Did you eat?"
His mother's soft tone was filled full of concern.
"Were you not enough that you sent your fucking stooge here to bother me too. For once mother aren't you tired? When will you stop bothering me?"
Christopher was raging for reasons unknown today he was speaking his mind to his mother.
He was out of his own created limits.
"Son, mama sent her to take care of you!"
Christopher's mother from the other side only sounded more concerned as Serena's mention seem to heat up the topic more now.
"I never asked for it, I have learned to live alone. I have fucking learned to live without any family."
Christopher argued back as hearing that, on the other side of the phone his each words were stabbing his mother's heart mercilessly.
Christopher was one cold man.
"You are the only son I have left now. Is it a sin to care for you?"
Mother questions with her silent sobs which caught Christopher by utter shock.
"First your brother shamed us leaving his newly wedded wife, now it's you who left the house. You two surely have grown up enough to do your minds, you won't even care whether your mother dies."
Mother spoke as Christopher felt all caught up by the movement.
Never before he asked the intentions behind his mother's regular calls, he was mad at his father who disowned him. Hence by taking his wrath and anger on his mother, he was only convincing himself that he was strong but now...
Mother's loud sobs were audible on the other side of the phone as Christopher became all silent not able to say anything for first few minutes when suddenly she spoke again.
"That child bore a lot of shame because of your brother already which she never even deserved. She is there because I sent her to look after you, to correct your living so that I can live the rest of my life with a relief that my other child is doing okay, being alone."
Mother uttered her intentions as Christopher now blankly stared at the food decorated on the table.
So it was her mother's wish?
"Do not trouble her, Chris!"
Christopher sighed feeling his head heavy, soon as the phone got disconnected by his mother and he sighed still eyeing all the food on the dining prepared for him.
It was all his favourites, mother might have narrated that woman to make all those. His mother might have told her to act good with him but why accepting all these sudden attentions was hard for him?
Maybe because he got used to live alone, he got used to live with no family.
Christopher backed off from the already decorated dining table as he started walking away, leaving the dishes as it was.
It wasn't like he didn't want to eat, he was sure hungry but he lost his appetite.
His heart was too arrogant to take in the fact that he was now living with a family, Serena was one family of his and is here to look after him but still he didn't wanted that to accept.
Christopher knew his mother was weak, she still loved him by going against his father who disowned by him 2 years back but the past was this bitter for him to digest?
Why his past was this cruel, maybe he never got out of it. Like he always pretended to be rude, was he actually like that?
He just hated everyone.
As walking towards his own room he was passing the guest room where his brother's woman was staying, whose lights were now off when he heard loud sounds of heavy sobbing from outside but strangely it wasn't like any other women crying dramatically.
It seemed like, she was trying to cry without getting noticed by anyone but she was still loud, her rude brother-in-law's words affected her tonight.
Christopher's actions hurted her and he knew it but why reacting calmly was one difficult task for him?
He knew his limits well, he would never cross his self drawn lines at all.
Christopher took arrogant steps towards his own room rather than stopping by her room and apologising her. He was just too arrogant for it!
Soon entering inside his room, he removed his jacket then soon followed by his shirt. He then dropped his body on the mattress without any care while breathing in rebel.
Staring the ceiling, he had nothing to think about but only one thing, he was one ungrateful son and there was no doubt on it.
His mind was such a manifestation after hearing his mother's words that he couldn't help but only to question himself, was his reaction necessary? Was he too harsh today?
He never thought he would be thinking about such matter that much, his mind lingered around those thoughts more than he expected as not wanting that, his hands reached for his jeans's pocket while taking out his phone, without any other thoughts.
Immediately dialing any number in 1st row, he joined the device to his right ear as the other side beeped for few seconds.
Soon picking up, the woman on the other side didn't hear any greet but it was rather an angry desperate demand from him.
Christopher was mad.
"I want to fuck!"
He growled as the woman on the other side of the call became all surprised.
"What, now? My husband is at home!"
The woman protested while whispering as Christopher was in no mood to deal with her then.
"Come in 5 or I will call someone else!"
Christopher shouted angrily again as the woman on the other side felt absolutely weird.
She cannot deny his sex, nobody can cause he was best at it.
"No, I am coming! Don't call someone-"
Not bothering to even hear her, Christopher cut the call on her without any care still staring at the ceiling angrily.
That's how he lived his life after leaving his house, he was his own master now. He have become one aggressive man with wild traits, he learned to be an animal.
Christopher never cared for others neither he wanted else's care for him. Her learned to stay alone, he learned to live alone and eat alone but suddenly having someone to eat with him and live with him makes him to think weird things.
"Fucking headache!"
He cursed Serena as soon a creek was heard on his door making him breathe out angrily, someone entered inside his room and he knew immediately, who was it.
MEANWHILEWiping her tears, Serena unfurled her room's door creek open after an hour or so while still sobbing under her breath silently to not get noticed by Christopher. But as she took her first step out she regretted it badly, hearing some loud weird sounds from the room next to her.Selena lowered her head down in shame as soon as she acknowledged what were those sounds about.Loud whimpers of a woman moaning madly and a man growling were coming from Christopher's room which caused Selena to feel more uncomfortable for even standing there, she was embarrassment and disgusted. But she decided to keep everything into herself quietly, after all she was only a guest!
"He is like a brother to me."Serena answered Serah’s question as Christopher stared at her blankly from the staircase, standing not too far from where the ladies stood he was still unnoticeable to both of them. She thinks of him as her brother? Never before Christopher met the type of her before. It felt weird to hear that of course. What type of woman she was really?"Also you don't have to worry about me. Worry about yourself!"Serena's next reply was surprisingly bold, which caused Serah's vessels to heat up while her eyes enlarged immediately.Serena started talking coldly then. The attitude he
Sitting on the passenger seat adjustably, Serena chewed her lips looking out of the window as the cold silence surrounded in the closed vehicle of two individuals.Consisting her and her brother-in-law, the vehicle was filled with speechlessness. Her brother-in-law on the driver's seat had his rude eyes glued on the streets while he drove through with seriously. On the other hand was she, who tried to be comfortable on her seat yet still feeling silent anxiety building up in her!She dared not to break the silence. It was indeed a surprise for her that he offered her a ride but also it was her kind of relief too.She wasn’t complaini
MEANWHILEClenching his fists on the steering wheel to the point where his knuckles turned white to the tightest grip, Christopher had a lot going on inside his head.He was indeed one hot headed man. While his mind being a total manifestation, Christopher loudly cursed hitting his fist on the horn in clear frustration then. His features hardened aggressively, it all happened in a matter of time. He didn’t plan to kick her out!The thing which angered Christopher wasn't about Serena's what-abouts at all, his mind at that time just couldn't take any disobedience when he was angry.
The rest of the day, Serena didn't come out of her room. Whereas Christopher sat on the living room's couch busied himself with his job.Working on his songs, he seemed quite disturbed while pinching his temples.Trying hard to focus on his work, Christopher tore one another paper from his notepad and bawled it up before throwing it on the floor messily, the 16th time. The living room was a such mess.He ruffled his hair as a low pitch dark growl felt pass his lips in utter frustration, he chewed the pen's end which he was holding while concentrating deadly on his upcoming song he had to release this week.He was struggling so hard to comp
Getting out of the bathroom, Christopher was half naked. With a towel wrapped around on his wet torso loosely he walked out towards his closet calmly when suddenly someone barged inside his room without even bothering to knock. His attention was diverted by the man of young 25 who had serious expressions drawn on his features with a look of unpleasantness.Joshua Ravero...Christopher's boon friend was he.The one he called to cook tonight..."Fuck you Chris, you had a woman over and you didn't even tell me!"Joshua cursed obviously being taken aback while meeting Serena downstairs. He wasn't expecting anyone here, to be hon
Serena arranged the last utensil on the dining table after laying the dishes on the middle with table manners, when soon the door of Christopher's room opened.Getting out of the room, the sound of footsteps indicated the two men.Christopher walked and behind him, his boon friend Joshua followed quietly.Awkward was he.While chewing his lower lip in silent guilt to discover the tragic identity of Serena with whom he spoke to earlier, he absolutely had no knowledge about who she was before...Joshua was indeed feeling bad for her.Christopher approached the dining with no formality before pulling the head chair and se
Finishing the dinner, the other two got up from their seats to proceed towards the kitchen again to wash the dishes.Giving a hand by holding the dishes Joshua helped Serena from behind who was holding Christopher's half completed meal.Serena leaded towards the sink first before putting on an apron and starting to wash the dirty utensils.Joshua got alerted by the sound of the water."Hey, let me do it!"Joshua offered like a gentleman while shaking her head off Serena politely refused to take his help."You have done enough by making dinner for us all. Let me do it!"Serena replied with a small smile decorated on her feature hinting it would be fine with her.
"Brother-in-law...."Serena pronounced almost whispering, while Christopher all of a sudden seemed all troubled to even look at her properly. Hissing under his breath, he roamed his irritated eyes around him. Avoiding to make eye contact with her sister-in-law. "I'd like to have that napkin." Taking his hands off her, obviously feeling weirder because of the sudden proximity, He backed away a step or two in defence. Meanwhile flustered with everything that had happened just seconds ago, Serena too looked around everywhere but him before holding out the napkin for him to take and help himself, which Christopher almost immediately snatched before leaving the ladies behind without caring to turn back again.Serena's chocolate eyes were then fixed on the little boy who was still standing in front of her, feeling overwhelmed with everything that had happened with him. Scorching, she smiled at him to make him feel easy, messing with his hair a little. "Hey there little man, it's okay
Serena exited the situation, she couldn't deal with the toxicity Sarah held inside of her.Her small town instincts didn't allow her to give in. Having her company was one whole different thing, she couldn't even stand that lady speaking to her.Even though Serena walked off first, but she did acknowledged that she knew no one around her at the moment. Sure it was her wish to attend the event at the very first place in order to learn the social environment of the big sparking city but not being so sure if this very decision of her was that great one now...She started feeling weird, she knew her values and ethics were a lot different than women in the big city but there she knew that she still needed to make major adjustment in her lifestyle to be enough independent and capable of her own and not rely on her brother-in-law all the time for every little thing. She wanted to make friends but there was still something holding her back. She didn't much appreciate what happened earlier
He would face her with her husband around, the poor guy who knew near about nothing as to how disgusting his wife was.Playing strangers even knowing that the other person is someone who has been bothering you lately is one matter of trouble. If not for Serena, Christopher would have never agreed to tag along. Christopher pitied the man, Kevin. Only if he knew what his dear wife has been doing behind his back all this while then he wouldn't have been so happy to celebrate their anniversary being that delighted. Christopher decided to not think much of the matter eventually as soon reaching the door of his neighbour, he rang the doorbell of his next door with Serena beside him holding the bouquet, he waited few seconds for someone to open the door. Soon the door was unfurled revealing a man with charming yet welcoming smile, Kevin eyed the both with a greeting nod."Hey guys!" He said offering a hug to Christopher, who seemingly was taken aback for a moment by that move. Sooner r
Shortly Christopher returned, holding a bouquet of African wild lilies complementing beautifully with white roses and French tulips. Serena couldn't help but stare at the bouquet he was holding. Coordinating well with the event's theme tonight, tulips were a perfect choice to gift a couple.Drawing a satisfactory smile over her features, Serena got the bouquet from Christopher as soon as he approached the vehicle opening the door."African lilies are rare game to find this season, must be expensive brother-in-law." Serena uttered twirling one of the petals of French tulips between her fingers before tracing over the lilies, smelling the bouquet admirably she seemed delighted. Christopher being surprised himself, on his seat noticed Serena's smile for the very first time up so close. Frowning to her sudden switch of mood, it was all because the flowers that interested her out of all the things? Taking a moment, he watched her admiring the bouquet before clearing his throat. Star
"Let's get some flowers for them."Serena suggested the other minute making Christopher look at her immediately. She was so sorted with everything, so ready with everything beforehand. Her words were such a save at this situation. Her attitude towards arrangements made Christopher realise that Serena was no easy woman.Unlike other women Christopher had ever come across, Serena seemed one entirely different woman who prioritised simplest things more than materialistic ones. She was attentive, caring and considerate about the things which involved her commitment, whether it was relationships or matter of formalities with people she k
"JESUS CHRIST!"Letting out a loud yelp of shock and terror while facing the accident, Serena was about to trip backwards from the effect of the sudden bump with Christopher about whom she had no knowledge, was standing at the threshold of her doorway at all.She misbalanced herself facing an extreme shock as she expected nothing like that.Christopher actively noticed her tripping down and acted quick enough to catch her before facing a huge accident.Taking his arm out to help her out, he snaked it behind Serena's waist without thinking much about the situation properly while she still shouted out loud in horror to get injured. The other minute she instead felt stuck in the air being held tightly, Serena felt herself being captured by someone's ho
Christopher had adopted the spoiled lifestyle of the big city life which was indeed a thing to worry about him.Serena sighed a long breath before first starting to work from the messy wardrobe of her brother-in-law. Getting everything out of it, she acknowledged that the wardrobe needed some hands first. Now that Serena wondered, Christopher never got his clothes out for laundry before, it has always been her who used the laundry all by herself as she never once witnessed him taking out his garments for a wash or to get it ironed either.Serena collected almost another mountain of garments in the same process with heavy struggle before getting all that together at the previous place. She next closed the empty wardrobe and turned her heels towards the othe
"Get ready at 6 then, I will come and get you."Christopher announced for Serena which caused her to instantly draw a smile on her face. She never smiled like that in front of him before...Witnessing her so happy for the very first time like that, Christopher was mesmerised for a minute or two.He was surprised. She sure had one jolly smile but it was a lot more different than her polite or formal smile that she always gave him previously.Even he couldn't believe what he was seeing because since she started living with him, she was never seen such happy before.
"Would you mind start speaking or you intend to stand like a statue for another hour?"Christopher commented blankly causing Serena to widen her eyes out of suddenness of his words, shaking her head at his statement, she looked at him right in the eyes with little dare."A-Actually about, Mr.Kevin-..."She shuttered strangely out of nervousness for him.But Christopher was fast enough to catch where she was pointing at already yet preventing himself to comment upon the same matter just yet, he decided to let her finish first.Serena cleared her throat wanting to sound much more confident and better next, she watched her brother-in-law looking at her intensely without any reaction again.
