Lia

When life was starting to get less complicated, life threw a curveball. I show up to this welcoming party trying to help introduce dragons to the neighborhood. Everything is going fine. They are talking to everyone and trying to do their best to integrate into society.

But then things started to get complicated. It started with one person showing up with a sign and then someone else showing up with another.

There were fucking protestors here.

Actual protestors.

It was hard to believe that these people had made these signs and then drove all the way out here. They were walking around with these stupid signs that had stupid phrases, saying that dragons shouldn’t be allowed in our neighborhood let alone our city after what they did.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, unable to believe this was happening.

Then, just to be sure, I pinched my cheek. It hurt, causing me to cry out in pain.

Yes, this was real. I was really seeing this right now and no amount of denial was going to change th

LiaTonight was one of those nights were I was close to being done. After the protests and Jesse nearly going crazy, one of the guys, I just decided to lock myself in my room. It wasn’t until late that I decided to come out to get some air.The air was nice. It was free too.One would think that I had gotten enough air from earlier, but here I was, trying my best to calm myself and not worry over everything that had happened earlier.I sat on the edge of the balcony upstairs, staring out over the city. The lights blurred together, a tangled mess of color and movement, much like my own thoughts.Everything used to be so simple, but I had to stop thinking like this. It was important for me to realize that my life wasn’t going to be the same again. This was my life now, so I better get used to it, honestly. Yawning, I leaned against the railing and then jumped when I heard the door to the balcony open.“It’s just me. Your amazing and loving brother who has come to lift your spirits,” he

JesseI can feel it before she even says a word—the shift in her scent, the way her body tenses ever so slightly. Lia’s heart is coming again. It’s been a few days since the incident, and everything is okay. Or it seemed to be okay when I walked in and saw that Lia was not in a good way. I cleared my throat, trying to get her attention.Lia looked up, but then she looked away again. Sighing, I decided to just sit across from her and just try to get her to open up. It wasn’t going to be easy, but I would do my best. She’s curled up on the couch, arms wrapped around her knees, staring at nothing. I settle next to her, close enough that our shoulders brush. “It’s starting again, isn’t it?”She lets out a breath, a small nod following. “Yeah.”There’s hesitation in her voice, a weariness that twists something in my chest. I reach for her hand, rubbing my thumb over her knuckles. “You don’t have to go through this alone, you know.”She looks up at me then, the corner of her mouth quirking

LiaWith my heat days away, I wasn’t doing much work. My mates were insisting that I stay home in case I go into heat. Sure, I could’ve said no, but I decided to just humor them because I didn’t want to argue. It was easier to just go along with what they wanted when I was already starting to feel kind of shitty from the heat creeping up on me.However, right now Simone and I are watching something that was amazing from the front yard. There was this little party that was introducing some of the new dragon shifters that were assigned housing here to some of the people. I saw humans, werewolves, and I think a witch was there. One of the most interesting things the two of us saw was a young dragon, probably one of the youngest shifters I had seen, talking with a werewolf pup.It was beyond cute. I never thought that I would see such a thing, but it was great that I saw two young creatures getting along. If they could do it, then why wouldn’t the adults? It just proved that adults were s

MattLia’s heat ended up hitting her that night. The sight of Lia lying there on the bed, writhing around in pleasure, was almost more than I could stand. Jesse was working her back end, stretching her out so she would be able to take him. I was doing my best to distract her by pumping my fingers in and out of her cunt, sucking hard on her clit. She was a mess. It helped that we were going to do this while she was in her heat. At least the pleasure would help her with the pain.Fuck, I don’t know how much more I could stand just sitting here, unable to fuck her. I wanted to sink my cock into her right now but the last thing I was going to do was hurt her.“How do you feel, Lia?” I asked, chuckling, when all she did was moan,Rain and Colby were in the corner, muttering something to themselves. The smell of pheromones was strong in the air. With all four of us releasing them, it was almost hard to focus. When Lia came, it took me by surprise, but I didn’t stop moving my fingers. Jesse

We were currently on day three of her heat, and it was slowly ending, but it was clear that there was still a bit to go.She was on the bed on her knees, furiously pleasuring herself or trying to. The four of us had walked out while she was sleeping to go grab some food, water, shower, clean the sheets, and just do some things that needed ot be done while we were sure that Lia was sleeping. Then we come back to the room and see her sobbing into the pillow, desperately trying to come by she wasn’t able to come because she needed a knot. It would be the only way to stop the burning feeling inside her gut.Slowly, I approached the bed, murmuring soft words to her. I stroked my cock, able to get it hard within seconds. MattThings were finally starting to settle down. It was crazy to say that, but I loved that things were finally quieting in our lives. After so much craziness, all I wanted was quiet. Hard to believe I was saying this right now.The dragon shifters were adjusting to living here in our city. I never thought they would adjust to living here, but they were. Other supernatural creatures had done their best in protesting their arrival and settling in. However, they had finally given up.They realized that they had no choice but to accept it. If they didn’t get with the program, then there were going to be consequences. The entire Moonveil ended up becoming spokespeople for the movement, something I never expected.Fighting for someone else and trying to take a stand wasn’t for me. I still preferred to be coaching, but when I had time, I would join Lia, Colby, and Jesse in public events. JesseEveryone was going crazy. But they were going crazy for good reason. Matt was still with people who wanted to seriously hurt him.I was angry but trying my best to hold my anger back as best I could, not wanting to alarm everyone. When I was angry, everyone would know it.Matt had a temper, but my temper was more dangerous. I was always more dangerous than everyone here. They all knew it.I knew it.It was something I wanted to make sure everyone understood. The more they feared you, the less trouble they would give you.Sighing softly, I sat down at the table, thinking about how this rescue mission was going to go. It was going well. I was determined to make it go well.“Jesse, what are you thinking about so hard?” Rain asked, talking with a mouth full of food. How could someone who could be so smart do something so stupid sometimes? No, that wasn’t fair of me to say.All of us were on edge after everything that happened since Matt was taken. Then again, all of us were nervous that he was gone.I remembered the conversation I had with Colby the other day. He had been sitting in his bed, sulking. It was so strange to see him sulk because this wasn’t normal behavior for him.“Hey Colby,” I said, slipping into our room. The two of us had ended up sharing a room for a while now. It was great to have Colby as a roommate. He understood me and didn’t lose his temper like Matt tended to do.Jesse just scared me at times. He was one my best friends but he scared the shit out of me.“I’m fine.”“Yeah, sure. MattI had been out and about, just having a normal day. Nothing was going wrong. There hadn’t been any threats from my pack members, so I was letting my guard down. This was my fault. It was the last thing I should’ve done, yet I didn’t realize until the last moment. One moment I’m standing, and the next someone is coming up behind me, injecting something into my neck. I slapped my hand on my neck, swearing under my breath. This fucking sucked.“Fuck,” I muttered, the smells of my old pack washing over me.This sucked so much.It was all I could think. K about.Fighting wasn’t an option. My body was falling, and it hit the ground with a loud thud, making me wince. There was laughter from whoever was around me. Was no one seriously seeing this? ColbyThe day started normally. I was at a council meeting with Jesse, the two of us trying to deal with what seemed to be petty issues. When it was over, he said he was going to stay a little longer to finish up on some work.I came home to an empty house. No surprise. Rain was still out coaching, and Lia was out with Simone, the two of them having a girls' day out.Who wouldn’t want to have a day off after working as hard as Lia had for the past few weeks?Yawning, I set to making myself something to eat when I heard some noise outside the front door. Stiffening, I ran out and then found a note. The note said that they had Matt.Matt had to go out today to run some errands. We were all doing our own thing, so they must’ve taken that chance to take Matt.He was gone.Swallowing, I was trying to comprehend the fact that his pack had him. No, his former pack.Matt was a member of the Moonveil pack. He was one of us, and we were going to protect him no matter what. But this happened on

Rain kept looking at me, and it seemed like he was ready to burst. It was obvious he was hiding things from me, but what was that something? It was what I couldn’t figure out quite yet.“Hey Rain,” I asked, plopping myself beside him.It was obvious from the look in his eyes that he wasn’t expecting me and that he wasn’t thrilled for me to be here. It was because he was hiding something.Rain was as obvious as ever.He squeaked, smiling at me. “Uh, hey Lia. What’s going on?”“I’m off for today. How are you?”“I have to coach the kids' team today. They are doing well and I think they are going to make the championship!”I smiled. Rain was genuinely excited about it, so I was trying my best to be excited for him.
