My breaths were shaky as I stared at where Pascal had been standing just moments ago. His words still echo in my mind. My body shuddered, Mark's life was in danger.

“You should go home,” Mark's face was dark like an impending storm as he spoke. “I have some things to do, I can't take you back,” Mark turned to leave.

“Mark, wait,” my breath caught and I clutched his hands, “You shouldn't…”

“You have to leave, now,” Mark snapped coldly, as he turned to glare at me, his eyes glowed. “Leave now!”

My heart skipped a beat, Mark looked on the brink of lashing out. But I couldn't leave him, not like this. “No,” I shook my head, “I'm not leaving, we have to talk. You…” I gasped as Mark wrenched his hand out of my grasp.

“Leave,” His eyes softened for a brief second, regaining their human look before it was gone, replaced by a feral look.
