"What's going on. How could Xelle just blatantly enter my territory? Didn't he know the traps I set?"

The distinctive voice of a half-century-old man sounded annoyed entering this sterile place, Axe's private medical room. The hard pounding of his steps signaled he was a stern man. His cold face and focused gaze really made me wince as I watched his every move.

"His pulse is very weak," he muttered after touching Axe's wrist.

"I wonder. Someone who's been exposed to my poison shouldn't be able to survive this long," the middle-aged man explained more to himself as he rubbed his chin, looking incredulous at the case we were facing.

"Take Xelle's blood for me. I need his DNA to determine if my renewable poison is not as effective as it once was. This is impossible. I've specially designed my poison. A person hit by a bullet while crossing the border should end up lifeless within the first five minutes, unless he-"

"You can't take Axe's blood when he himself is wounded like this, sir."
