Jessie
It's been two weeks since we learned about the pregnancy and my Aunt Alex's murder. It's my first day back to work and it's been chaos. There have been so many patients that it was literally making my head spin.
I was sitting at the nurse's station, trying to get my head to stop spinning, but it was no use. Everyone was running around like crazy and it was making my head spin worse. I close my eyes, breaths shaky and lay my head down.
I feel someone rub my back in comfort and look to see it was my mother. She lifts me from the chair and I waver on my feet with a hand on my forehead. She slowly guides me to a dark on call room and helps me lay down.
She pulls her phone from her pocket and I hear Elliott on the other end. "How soon can you get to the hospital...No, nothing bad. It's been hectic here and Jessie is not fit to continue working...I have her laying down in an on call room. I found her with her head down at the nurse's station when Carol said she hadn't seen her in a half hour...I'll handle your captain, just come get her home."
I wake up, curled up with Elliott in our bed. I don't remember getting home. The last thing I remember was my mother talking to her on the phone while we were in the on call room. I was stripped out of my scrubs and into a pair of Elliott's loose sweats and loose shirts.
I look back at her and she was propped up in her elbow, looking down at me. She trails her fingers lightly over my arm and asks softly, "How are you feeling?"
"Much better," I say in a husky whisper that I usually have when I wake up from sleep. "Everyone was moving too fast for me to keep up and it made me feel extremely dizzy."
"I know, your mom told me," she says softly, leaning down to give me a kiss. "I took off a few days. My captain was very understanding about everything."
"I'm not sure if I can keep up on hectic days like this, especially during the remaining of the first trimester," I say in a wavering whisper.
"What about the clinic," she asks softly, rubbing my stomach.
I consider this and nod lightly. "I'll talk to my mother about it later, " I say quietly.
"No need," my mother says with a smile, letting her self in our room and I jump. "Sorry sweetheart. I brought you some tea. If working the clinic will be better for you for now, I'll accept for the sake of my grandchild."
"Thank you," I choke with relief. "I'm sorry about today..."
"Sweetheart, you don't have to apologize. I know what its like to be pregnant and have a hectic day at the hospital," she says in a soothing tone, taking me in her arms as I break into uncontrolled sobs. "Everyone was concerned about you."
"I just want this pregnancy to work, but so far everything has been adding extra stress since we learned that I'm pregnant," I choke in broken sobs.
"Miranda had a stressful pregnancy with Macy. Her job didn't make it easy for her either. Teaching a bunch of snotty teenagers nearly caused us Macy more than once until I put the fear of God in them," Elliott says softly and I look at her.
She had tears in her eyes from sharing the memory, but smiles and says, "I have no doubt that you'll pull through this pregnancy, because at the end of the day, I'll be here to let you lash out if it helps you destress from your day at work."
I let out a relieved breath and go in her arms. "Anytime you feel stressed out, please don't be afraid to let it out on me. I did it for Miranda, I'd be more than happy to do it for you," she says in a soothing whisper and I let out a calming breath.
"I don't deserve you Elliott, you're too good for me," I choke quietly and she kisses the top of my head.
"I'm the lucky one," she whispers, lifting my chin to give me a kiss. "Meeting you has been the best thing that's happened to me since my world came crashing down on me. You rebuilt it, mending each broken piece together, making me stronger. You have brought life to my daughter's eyes and smile. I love that she goes to you for things that I used to do. I love the bond you both share and I can only hope you spread that bond to our baby."
One week later...
I was taking my lunch break, waiting for Carol to join me when one of my colleagues sits next to me. He's been trying to get with me since I got together with Elliott, especially after he found out I'm pregnant with her baby.
"If you ever get tired of that freak you're with," he says in a seductive whisper, running his hand between my thighs. "I'll show you how a real man makes you squirm."
"Get your hands off my daughter," my mother bellows, gaining everyone's attention.
"Elliott is more of a man you're ever going to be Grayson," I choke in a whisper, pulling out my phone to call her as he continues to touch me, pushing my mother away. She answers on the second ring. "Elliott, I need you."
"I'm here, hoping to surprise you," she says with concern that quickly turns to anger, but she sounds closer than just the phone. "Get your hands off my wife!"
Suddenly I feel Grayson getting pulled away from me and Elliott beating him repeatedly. I sat there stunned for two different reasons. Reason one, Elliott is hot when she's in protective mode. Reason two, we're only girlfriends and she just called me her wife.
Her partner, Gary, manages to get her to stop and cuffs him for sexual assault. She kneels in front of me, concern in her eyes and caresses my face. I continue to look at her in a daze as her lips move, but no sound reaches my ears.
She lifts me from the chair and sits with me straddling her lap. I lay my head on her shoulder and she rubs my back comfortly. My mother sits in my view, her lips moving, but like with Elliott, I heard nothing. I sit back enough to meet Elliott's worried eyes and take her in an abrupt, passionate kiss.
I grind my hips against her bulge and she responds with a semi erection. I climb off her lap, out of breath and pull her in the direction of my office. Once we get in, I slam the door shut, lock it and draw the blinds closed. I turn to face her and she seemed surprised by my actions.
I walk up to her and take her in a passionate kiss. She breaks from this kiss, concern in her eyes. Tears roll down my cheeks and I plead in a sobbed whisper, "Please, Elliott. I want to erase his touch and replace it with yours. Please?"
She takes off her utility belt, holding her gun and cuffs and takes me in a kiss without a word. She hoists me up and sits me on the bare spot of my desk. Without breaking from the kiss, my shoes, pants and panties are removed. Her hands slowly roam down the inside of my thighs until her thumbs trace the outer folds of my throbbing core.
I let out a moan as she uses one hand to tease my slit and stroke my clit while her free hand releases her beasty shaft. With one swift move, her thick member plunges deep inside me, tearing a moan deep from my throat.
She's gentle with me, making this feel more intimate than any other time we had sex. This time felt different, but a good different. I break from the kiss, meeting her eyes and both of our breaths hitch. I caress her face as tears roll down both our faces. "I love you," we say in unison and smile.

I got Jessie home after our intimate moment in her office. I still can't believe I called her my wife. She must have caught on to that because her mother and I tried to talk to her and she seemed lost.
"How is she," Maggie asks as she walks in the door with Macy.
"Sleeping," I say quietly gesturing to the living room. "Since I blurted that she was my wife, I want to ask her, but I feel it's too soon."
"Are you still waiting for Christmas Eve," she asks quietly as we enter the kitchen.
"I don't know," I choke quietly, shrugging my shoulders. Tears roll down my cheeks and say quietly, "I wanted to surprise her for lunch, not walk in on that..."
Maggie takes me in her arms, knowing that I was molested as a child. She pulls the ring from her purse and hands it to me. "Seeing her reaction, I don't think it would hurt to ask her sooner than you originally planned," she says quietly with a smile. "I'll take Macy for the night."
"I'm sure she'll call you the minute I ask her," I choke with a smile.
I got busy preparing for a romantic night in after Maggie left. I went up and picked the perfect dress, leaving it draped over the arm of the chair next to the couch with a note telling her to wear it and meeting me in the kitchen.
I left a trail of rose petals from the living room to the kitchen. Candles lay out around the kitchen, creating a romantic atmosphere. I made her the chicken parmesan she's been craving for and a bottle of sparkling white grape juice that parents get their kids that comes in a wine looking bottle.
I was dressed in a pair of my dress slacks with a button down shirt tucked in my pants. I left the top buttons undone to show off a little cleavage and some of my sandalwood cologne that she can't get enough of.
I was putting the finishing touches of our dinner on the table when I look up to her in the dress I laid out for her. She'd even done up her hair and light makeup and was in awe of what I'd done in the kitchen. Tears fill her eyes as she looks around and asks in a choked whisper, "Elliott, what's going on?"
"Can't I just make a romantic dinner for my beautiful pregnant girlfriend," I ask with a smile, helping her to her seat.
"It's beautiful, thank you," she chokes with a smile. She notices the choice of drink and says, "Elliott, I shouldn't have alcohol with..."
"I promise there's no alcohol. Gary gets this for his kids on holiday dinners while the adults have the real stuff," I say softly and hand her her glass with the ring at the bottom.
"Elliott," she chokes quietly, eyes glued to the ring.
I fish it out with a fork, dry it off and say quietly, "I wanted to wait for Christmas Eve, but my big mouth called you my wife in front of half the hospital. I figured I might as well make it believable.
"Jessie, walking in with him touching you...Only my hands should touch you like that," I choke quietly and tears roll down her cheeks. "So, Jessie, if you'll have me, will you marry me?"
At a loss for words, she nods her head vigorously, letting out laughing sobs. I slip the ring on her finger and she pulls me into a passionate kiss. "I love you Elliott," she chokes with a smile.
"I love you too Jessie."
"Can we go to my parents after dinner? I don't want to tell them over the phone," she chokes with excitement in her eyes.
"I thought you'd ask that. I already told them we'd be over after our dinner and spending the night," I say with a smile.
We arrive at her parents house and before we get out of the car, her parents were coming out to greet us. She called them on the way, unable to keep in her excitement and they pull us into hugs. We head inside and to our surprise, her sister, Anna and Nana were also here and congratulate our engagement.
"So, when do you two want to get married," Nana asks with a smile.
Jessie and I make eye contact and I raise my eyebrows for her to decide. "I've always loved the idea of a Valentine's day wedding. I put together a scrapbook for when someone asked me," Jessie says with a light blush.
"Four months from now or next year," Nana asks with a smile.
"I don't want to wait a year," Jessie chokes quietly, giving me pleading eyes.
I hold her chin, sweeping my thumb along her bottom lip. "Then let's don't," I say in a soft whisper, giving her a kiss.
She lays her head on my chest, letting out a content sigh. I play my fingers in her hair. "Macy can be our flower girl," Jessie says quietly and I kiss her head.
"Are you inviting people from the police department Elliott," Maggie asks curious.
"They're all I have for family, aside from all of you," I choke quietly and she gives me a smile.
"What about you Jessie? Are you inviting people from the hospital," Maggie asks softly.
When she doesn't answer, I look down to see she's asleep. I tuck hair from her face and she turns her face into my neck. "She's been through a lot this month, its probably catching up with her," Maggie says quietly feeling bad for her daughter.
"You look exhausted yourself Elliott," Walter says softly as I rub my eyes.
"Yes, but it has nothing to do with patrolling the streets," I say with a tired smile.
"Go get some sleep Elliott," Walter says with a laugh
"Ignore anything you might hear later," I say with a chuckle and carry Jessie to bed.
I get her up to our usual room here and change her into her sleepwear, which lately consists of a pair of my sweats and a loose long sleeve shirt. I always sleep in my boxers and a sports bra all year round.
I was in the middle of undressing when our door opens without a knock. My dress slacks fall around my ankles as Emma walks in. Her eyes immediately went to my groin, eyes widening at my size. "Is everything okay Emma," I ask with concern and she whips her head up to meet my eyes.
I pull my pants back up, put my shirt back on and she chokes quietly, "Anna's father abused me before she was born. I left him, but now he won't leave us alone and I'm scared he's going to do something."
"You need to put a restraining order against him. If he violates it, he's automatically put in jail. I have a pepper spray in my glovebox, I'll get it in the morning," I say in a soothing tone and she nods vigorously.
"Thank you Elliott," she chokes quietly, coming in my arms.
"You're welcome," I say softly and she leaves the room.
ElliottThanksgiving is next week and as usual this time of year, crime goes up. Gary and I were grabbing coffee at a local gas station when three guys walked in shooting everyone in the convenient store. Gary and I retaliate and I took two in the chest and stomach, piercing through my vest. "Elliott," he exclaims as he takes out the last of the shooters. My breaths come in quick pants, almost hyperventilating. "Jessie, I need to see her," I say between rapid breaths, tears rolling down my cheeks."Hang in there Elliott," Gary says in a soothing whisper."J-Jessie," I say in a gurgled breath and everything fades to black.JessieI'm waiting with my mother for Elliott to come in the emergency room. Gary just called and said she was shot while they were getting coffee. My mother was doing her best to keep me calm for the baby's sake, but until I see Elliott, I don't think I can calm down. She was being wheeled in and it felt
ElliottIts Thanksgiving and this year Macy and I are joining Jessie and her family for the holidays. Jessie is making me sit out of helping with anything. She's afraid I'll overdo it after nearly taking a bullet in my heart. She said the bullet was two inches shy of my being dead.I was lounging in our big chair when Nana came out and took pity on me. She asked me to drive her to the store and told me Jessie could take it up with her. She ended up directing me to a jewelry store and I was left confused. "Nana, what are we doing here? I thought you needed something to go with dinner," I ask confused."We're here to pick something out for you to give Jessie," she says with a smile, giving me a wink.We look around for a few minutes before I found the perfect gift. It was a necklace with a pendant of a mother caressing her pregnant stomach. I show Nana and she smiles. "She's going to love it," she says with a smile as we take it to the clerk.
Jessie Its Christmas Eve and thankfully Elliott and I have off from work. Skye adapted to living with us rather quickly. We've had a special bond since day one and I still haven't told Elliott what we talked about. It's not up to me to spill all of Skye's secrets. She still wakes me every now and again in the middle of the night. We go down and have tea to relax her mind and talk some more. It's mostly small talk, like what she likes and doesn't like. She told me about her mother and what she misses the most about her. She told me that I often remind her of her mother and is why she seems close with me rather than Elliott. I was sitting with Skye while Elliott and Macy went to pick up my parents and Nana. They were going to be staying the night with us in our new house. Elliott managed to find one a few days after Skye was dropped off at our door on Thanksgiving. We've been fully moved in a few days ago. There are plenty of rooms for Elliott
Jessie Elliott just left with the girls and I was in our room with our mothers while the others were sitting in the living room waiting to see the dress. The dress was beautiful, off the shoulder straps with a heart shaped neckline that showed a lot of breast. It was a perfect fit and left plenty of room for my stomach in the upcoming weeks. Tears fill my eyes at how beautiful the dress was and how Elliott was going to react to it. I burst into tears and our mothers took me in their arms. "You don't have to wear it..." "I love it," I choke in laughing sobs. "Let's go show the others," my mother says with a smile. We enter the living room and everyone looks at me in awe. "Sweetheart, you look breathtaking," my father chokes with a smile. "If Elliott is anything like me, she is going to weep when she sees you walk down the aisle," Thomas says with a smile and kisses my cheek. "I brought the tux
ElliottIt's been a week since I reunited with my family who I thought hated me. It turned out they actually wanted me, but my mother's parents made them give me up. It's been as long that Sarah has lived with us and we found out she suffers PTSD. She has frequent nightmares and that's as far as her episodes go thankfully. The first one earned me a punch in the face, but I didn't hold it against her. Jessie prescribed her some medication to help, and they seem to be working. She's been having fewer nightmares and last night she slept the whole night through. I checked on her periodically and she always seemed peacefully sleeping. She wanted to wait for her attacks to get under control before meeting with my captain and I was understanding about that. It's what we were doing today. I'm sitting in my uniform while she sits in street clothes and her shoulder now fully healed, but sore sometimes.I gave him a briefing last week so Sara
JessieAfter hearing Skye's confession last night Elliott and I let her sleep with us. Elliott was behind me and Skye laid facing me. She has her face between my neck and upper chest with her hand on my stomach. I rubbed her back to lull her to sleep. When I woke the next morning, she was tracing on my stomach, her way of talking to the twins. I lay there letting her continue to talk to them as they lightly kick the area she was tracing. I felt a lack of presence from Elliott and the smell of breakfast told me it was probably her.Sarah walks in, probably to check on us and smiles at what Skye was doing. "What is she doing," she asks curious."Talking to them," I choke quietly as tears roll down my cheeks. "She's telling them how much she misses her mother, how she considers me mother now, how happy she is to be with us, how excited she is to meet them and can't wait for them to get here."I start sobbing softly and she looks up from my
ElliottI tried hard to wake up last night and felt my body jerking. Then this bright, blinding light engulfs me. I start walking blindly when I hear a familiar voice. "Oh Elliott," the voice chokes before Miranda appears in front of me."Miranda," I choke quietly, reaching to touch her face."Yes Elliott, it's me, but it's not your time yet," she chokes with a smile and turns my head.A shimmering portal reveals Jessie watching me being revived. "Am I...?""Yes Elliott, you're dead. She needs you more than I do," she chokes quietly.Melanie approaches us with tears in her eyes. "Get back to that woman Elliott," she signs and points to the portal.Jessie is pounding on my chest, begging me not to leave her. "We'll watch over your girls Elliott," Miranda chokes and shoves me.I can hear the sound of my heart slowly beating, back in the dark abyss of my head. I can hear Jessie talking about fighting for the one
ElliottA week has passed since I woke from my coma and today we were trying a third attempt at removing the breathing tube. Jessie left the room and I don't blame her. Carol turns off the ventilator and detaches the hose.A couple minutes passed and I was still breathing on my own. She removes the tube from my mouth and helps me drink water. "I'll go get her, just rest your throat for now," she says with a smile and goes to get Jessie.Moments later she walks in and relief fills her eyes. "Hi," I croak in a hoarse voice. She breaks into relieved sobs and comes give me a chaste kiss. "There's one more hose I want removed if possible," I sign to save my voice."The catheter," she asks and I nod. "I have to ask Carol first."I groan and she giggles at me. "It's uncomfortable and I want to get out of bed," I sign with hopeful eyes."Resting your throat I see, " Carol says as she reenters the room."Ye
ElliottI woke to Jessie getting out of bed in the middle of the night. The twins were born a few hours ago and their cries for feeding have been every two hours. She takes Melanie, afraid to tend Miranda until she knows for sure she's going to be okay. She gives me this pleading look and I'd kiss her forehead before gingerly scooping her from her hospital cradle.I check her diaper and it's a little wet. I change her because the last time I let it go and she was feeding, she peed through the diaper. Yeah, I had to change and quickly shower. Hahaha not funny. As I'm feeding her, Devon listens to her heart and lungs. She just smiles, marks her chart and closes the folder. She walks over and talks with Kelly quietly. They catch me watching and move to the hall. That raises my attention and I become alarmed of the child in my arms. I look over at Jessie and she was smiling at Melanie. She looks up at me, never losing the smile and I smile back so I don't alarm her.I look back down at M
JessieIt's the final days left of this stressful pregnancy. Elliott has asked Kelly and Jennifer to stay in the guest room the last few days after I had my first false labor. Our parents took the kids so it was less for Elliott to worry about. She's been on edge as the days get nearer the end. She's scared that something will go wrong in the delivery room and when I had that false labor, she had flashbacks of the day she shielded me at the coffee shop.Mollie is coming along nicely with her pregnancy and just started her sixteenth week. Her baby is healthy and has just started kicking. She's been staying with her mother the last few days. I feel bad. Between my two false labors and her baby's late night kicking, she hasn't been sleeping. I was laying between Elliott's legs in bed. It's been the only way I've been able to get comfortable to sleep. Kelly and Jennifer were asleep on either sides of us and the sheets suddenly were soaked. I was feeling pressure between my legs and my br
ElliottJennifer, Kelly and the twins ended up staying for dinner. Peyton has been stuck at Skye's side and won't leave her for anything. Skye doesn't seem to mind, in fact Skye was trying to show her sign language. She told her they'd be friends forever and to all our surprise Peyton copied her like she'd been signing all her life.I grab a couple of beers and offer one to Jennifer, she looks to her wife who nods. She holds her hand out and Jennifer hands over their car keys. I kiss Jessie's forehead and lead Jennifer out to the back deck. We clank bottles before taking our first sip. I sit on the banister and roll the bottle between my hands."Miranda, Macy's mother, had a job more stressful than ours as a cop. She taught troubled students that other teachers refused to take the time and deal with them. When we almost lost Macy, I entered her classroom and threatened to arrest them if their actions caused our child. Their eyes widened in fear that I was serious."She came home tha
ElliottAfter the tease fest I made the girls go through, they slept the whole night and half the following day. I let them sleep because I wanted them relaxed, especially Jessie. Sarah pulled me aside while they slept and the kids played in their room and asks me what happened at the hospital. I break and tell her the truth about Jessie and about the other baby she lost before she met Reese. I told her everything and she promised to help keep it a secret. She promised to help me keep Jessie relaxed when I'm not around. She now understands why I snapped at the questions, why I've been cautious with her. She now understands everything that's going on. I let my guard down and she held me until I couldn't cry anymore. I took a shower to hide the evidence of my puffy eyes and was joined by Jessie."Did you sleep well," I ask softly as I caress her stomach."Mmhmm," she hums sleepily and rests her forehead on my shoulder. "Will you make your yummy apple cinnamon pancakes, please?""Of cour
ElliottMollie was able to get me calmed down before dinner was done and thankfully no one walked into the kitchen. She's the only one who knows the truth and I won't even tell Skye because this is too much of a secret to bare and she already lost one mother. I was setting dinner on the island when I feel Jessie hug at my back. I look over my shoulder and she smiles lightly. I turn in her arms and her arms wrap around my neck, pulling me down for a kiss. Being able to still feel her lips on mine felt like a blessing that I'll never take for granted. Being able to hold her and feel the twins kick my hands was a relief all in its own. I owe my thanks to whoever is responsible for the miracle standing before me.She breaks from the kiss and looks at me with concern. I look at her confused and she wipes a tear I didn't realize slipped from my lashes. Thankfully she doesn't question it and gives me another kiss. I smile lightly and she turns to look at the variety of food I made. "Everyth
JessieA bright, white light engulfs me and I'm blinded from my surroundings. I hold my hand up to shield my eyes and moments later, two silhouettes emerge. They grow bigger as they get closer and the closer they get, I realize they're people. Once I'm able to see their faces, I recognize her from the shrine Elliott has of her late wife, Miranda.I fall to my knees, sobbing uncontrollably. If I'm seeing her, something must be wrong. She takes my face in her hands, kneeling in front of me and smiles. She wipes my eyes and helps me to my feet. "I know what you're thinking," she says softly and her voice was angelic. She waves her hand and a portal shimmers in front of us, showing me sleeping in a hospital bed with Elliott and Mollie holding my hands. "You and the twins are fine. We just wanted to thank you."I look at them confused and ask, "Thank me for what?""You adopted our daughters as your own so they'd never be alone should something happen to Elliott," Melanie signs to me. ElliottIt's been a week since Jessie told me about the baby she lost before Reese. I haven't been letting her do anything while at home, Mollie either. They made a fuss the first couple of days until I gave them my reason why. After hearing about both babies Jessie lost, I don't want her to overwhelm herself with the twins. Being active at the hospital is one thing, it's her job. With everything going on with Ryan, I don't want Mollie stressing out during the first trimester of her pregnancy.Jackson called this morning and said that Ryan was found and taken into custody and charged with an account for attempted assault on a pregnant woman and for plotting a murder against a police officer. We were all relieved to hear that we no longer have to worry about him, but I'm not letting my guard down for nothing. As for Skye, we had an appointment with her doctor yesterday and she was eligible for the hearing implants. The doctor is supposed to call when they have what's needed for the pro
ElliottMy captain let himself in minutes after what went down with Ryan. I was still trying to calm Mollie down. She's been sobbing the same thing over and over again, "You shouldn't have told him."Her body trembling in my arms as I rocked her from side to side on the couch. Jessie did her best to hug at her back, whispering soothingly in her ear. My captain took one look at Mollie's state and looked at her with sympathy. His eyes flick up to mine and says softly, "Detective, the three of you can take however long she needs off. I'll handle Ryan."He turns protective eyes to Mollie and says, "It's the least I can do as a friend of her parents, God bless them."Hearing this, Mollie lets out a calming breath. I let out a relieved sigh and kiss both their heads. I lean back against the back of the couch and she held my hand to her stomach along with Jessie's. Mollie's parents were killed in a car accident, two years ago. I was the one there for her w
Jessie It's my day off and Mollie stayed home not feeling well. It's been six weeks since the wedding and I had her take a pregnancy test. We were waiting for the results, laying in bed. I was resting against the headboard with her head in my lap. I was playing with her hair, waiting for the timer to go off. I haven't known her long, but I've never seen her sick. Elliott had already left early for her detective's exam. She finally got the cast off last week and it was her first day back to work. The timer goes off and I pick up the test on the nightstand. A smile forms as a plus sign stares up at me. I hold it for Mollie to see and she breaks into uncontrolled sobs. I rub her arm in comfort. She fought with a suspect last week, taking a blow to the stomach. She came home hysterical thinking her chance of getting pregnant was gone. "Can we take a ride to get it confirmed," she asks in broken sobs. "Of course baby," I say
