CHAPTER 10: Like mother, like daughter

NARAH'S POV:

Luna Tauriel’s anger was evaporating into the atmosphere, seeping through the cool air and right into my pores. I was beginning to get a little annoyed, so I rolled my eyes, and asked nonchalantly,

“What do you want?”

“Do you know who you're talking to, you insolent child?” she said angrily. The sweet scent of Vanilla fragranced hand cream enveloped my nose, and with a deafening sound, her palms swiftly collided with my left chek.

SPAK!

I was dumbfounded. I knew she was evil, but I didn't take her as a woman so wicked to hit someone she barely knew. What the hell was I thinking? Of course, she'd do that, because her daughter did the exact same thing the first day we met.

“How dare you?” She asked, her nostrils flaring up like a bull.

The only thing I could do was to hold one of my hands against my cheek to calm the pain from the slap.
