Is he dead?

It seemed like the umpteenth time Lucas had thrown job reports from his subordinates into the trash.

"You dare to give me this garbage?" Lucas uttered coldly, causing the trembling financial manager to stand there with bowed head in front of Lucas's chilling demeanor.

"Forgive me, sir," he managed to stammer, and with a dismissive wave of Lucas's hand, he was effectively dismissed. The financial manager hastily left Lucas's office. Lucas then shifted his gaze to Carlos, who stood quietly by his side.

"How's the casino construction in Las Vegas?" Lucas inquired, his attention still divided as he signed several stacks of documents on his desk.

"There have been a few setbacks, sir," Carlos answered, which caused Lucas's hand to pause once again.

"And the reason?"

"We've encountered some issues with the heavy machinery we've been using," Carlos replied, drawing a deep breath and exhaling it harshly. Over the past week, nothing seemed to go as planned; everything that usually ran smoothly
