The last question from Luna left Carlos and Lucas momentarily speechless, staring at her. Luna, however, maintained her indifferent expression even though her question was a fairly common one.

"Are you sure you're asking that?" Lucas inquired.

"Yes, of course. Wasn't my previous statement clear enough?" Luna replied, and Lucas glanced briefly at Carlos.

Carlos, who had been feeling uncomfortable being caught between them, cleared his throat before he attempted to stand up from his seat. "If that's the case, I'll take my leave. I'll report back later, Sir," Carlos said, but before he could fully straighten himself up, Luna spoke up again.

"Where are you going?" Luna asked.

"I need to attend to my duties, ma'am," Carlos answered.

"No, stay. I might need your assistance," Luna said, causing Carlos to briefly glance at Lucas. It seemed Carlos understood the meaning behind Lucas's gaze, and after a nod from Lucas, Carlos resumed his seat.

"So, what's your answer?" Luna asked, referring to

Luna stepped out of Lucas's car, occasionally adjusting her black outfit that clung to her body. After her successful intimidation, Lucas had indeed waited for her and they were going out together. To her relief, Luna's attire matched the venue they were heading to - a club in downtown Los Angeles. Her mini dress fit snugly, with straps revealing her shoulders and exposing parts of her back. Luna tied her hair into a ponytail, revealing even more of her back. Lucas briefly glanced at her before speaking."Put this on!" Lucas handed her a denim jacket.Luna hesitated and looked at the jacket he had offered. "No, why would I wear that? It doesn't match my outfit's concept," she replied nonchalantly."In that case, we might as well go back home," Lucas said, turning to head back to his car. However, Luna's voice stopped him in his tracks once again."Why should I do that? Are you new to going to clubs? Don't you see that people in there practically dress like they're almost naked?" Luna

Luna threw her small bag in a random direction before walking toward the dressing room. She glanced at the door as it opened, then averted her gaze again. Lucas approached her."Are you angry?" Lucas asked, causing Luna to look at him."Do I look angry?" Luna shot back, her gaze sharp and piercing."I'm not angry, but I just want to kill that guy," Luna replied, picking up her nightgown and casually removing the black dress she was wearing. She replaced it with the nightgown right in front of Lucas, who observed her back without much concern.Luna then turned around after putting on the nightgown, heading to the vanity table. She went through her nightly skincare routine, absentmindedly applying creams on her face. Through the large mirror in front of her, she could see Lucas leaving the dressing room, dressed in his own attire."I didn't know it was you," Lucas stated, looking a

Lucas truly took her to the Alvarez family's residence. Not to forget their three children: Jordan, Jodi, and Noah.Jodi and Jordan are the children of Alana Alvarez, while Noah is Alexa Alvarez's child. Meanwhile, Adam and the other men chose the lounge near the garden to discuss their business.Luna's gaze shifted to Jodi, who seemed indifferent to the conversation initiated by Alana and Alexa. Luna glanced briefly at Lucas, who was focused on the road ahead."Are you close to your cousins?" Luna asked, making Lucas glance at her momentarily before returning his gaze to the road."No," Lucas replied shortly."But I saw you chatting with Jordan and Noah earlier," Luna continued."It's not what you think. Just regular business talk. I'm not that close to them," Lucas explained, causing Luna to furrow her brow as she looked at him. What was wrong with being close to your own relatives? Luna wondered, considering how close she was to her own cousins, Raynald and Reymon."How about Jodi?" Luna asked, making Lucas glance at her again with a raised eyebrow."What's with the sudden interest in them?" Lucas asked."Nothing, forget it. Is there anything wrong with asking about your siblings?" Luna grumbled at the end of her sentence, stil

Luna groaned as the sunlight streaming through the large glass windows surrounding her face. She lifted her hand to shield her eyes from the light, blinking as she looked towards the large glass windows in front of her. Despite being in a state of half-sleep, Luna managed to sit up and squint at the sunset over the city of Los Angeles.Furrowing her brows, Luna shifted her gaze around the room. She found herself in an unfamiliar bedroom, yet the familiar scent in the air led her to speculate that it was her husband's room – not their main bedroom in the mansion, but perhaps one of his personal spaces. Luna swung her legs over the edge of the bed and walked towards the floor-to-ceiling glass wall to get a better view of the sunset. The cityscape transformed into shades of orange as the sun dipped below the horizon. Seeing the sunset from such a height was a rare and beautiful experience for Luna.Luna's mind wandered, thinking about how

Lucas walked back into the bedroom and found Luna sitting in a chair, facing the large glass window that offered a view of the nighttime Los Angeles skyline. He noticed Luna wearing his sweater, which seemed a bit oversized on her petite frame but somehow looked just right in Lucas's eyes.Luna was aware of Lucas's gaze on her and quickly shifted her attention to the sweater she was wearing, as if avoiding his scrutiny. "I didn't have any clothes here, and I can't possibly wear that dress to sleep tonight," Luna explained, pointing at the dress that now lay beside the bed. She seemed to be defending herself for daring to wear Lucas's clothes.Lucas merely shrugged nonchalantly and took a seat in a chair next to Luna's. "Are you hungry?" he asked, making Luna look at him."Of course, you know we haven't eaten since this afternoon," Luna replied, causing Lucas to nod before pulling out his phone from his pocket. Luna tried to close her eyes despite the difficulty, even though she had been attempting for the past hour. Sleep evaded her, and she lay on her side, facing the large window that now revealed the night sky devoid of stars, only showing a crescent moon illuminating the city of Los Angeles.Luna tensed when she felt a movement from behind her. Was she not asleep yet? Luna pondered. This time, her curiosity got the best of her; she wanted to turn around to face the person sleeping beside her. However, Luna was aware that Lucas might not be asleep at the moment. But from her analysis, Luna thought that Lucas might have fallen into a deep sleep due to the slight movements she had felt earlier. So, Luna slowly turned her head to look behind her. She could see Lucas sleeping, facing her. After making sure Lucas was truly asleep and wouldn't wake up, Luna carefully turned her body to face Lucas. He slept peacefully, only the so

Luna jolted awake from her sleep, whether due to a nightmare or something else that disturbed her. Her gaze immediately turned to the dimly lit ceiling of the room. She then moved her head to the left, trying to see outside through the large window, but the sky was still too dark for her to open her eyes fully. The moon was still hanging up there. Luna furrowed her brow, wondering why she had woken up at the crack of dawn. This wasn't usual for her. Then, she remembered that she was still in Lucas's office. Luna turned her head to the right and slightly lifted it to survey her surroundings. Lucas should be there, probably still asleep. However, the spot beside her was empty, and she saw no sign of Lucas. Slowly, Luna sat up and glanced toward the bathroom. Was he in there? Luna wondered, but there were no indications of Lucas being inside. She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, looking around the room. Lucas wasn't in sigh

Lucas, Arka, and Leo are starting to look anxious after flying for hours, yet they haven't found the island where Luna is hidden."Have you checked the island properly?" Lucas asks, causing Leo, who has been focused on a flat object in front of him, to mutter."I don't want us to end up on the wrong island this time," Lucas says again, earning an annoyed look from Leo."Why, do you think finding that secluded island is easy? I might be able to track Luna's whereabouts through her phone network, but look, there are numerous islands scattered across the entire ocean. I don't know which one is where Luna is. Besides, I can't currently trace the phone's signal," Leo explains, making Lucas frustrated. Earlier, they had landed their helicopter on two islands, only to realize they were wrong. This time, Lucas hopes they're on the right one."Do you think that island looks suspicious?" Arka says, gazing at the island below. Lucas also looks down and sees a single building on the island, which

He believed that Luna would eventually give in to him, even though he was met with rejection at the moment. Luna clenched her fists tightly as Travis touched her so softly. It was far from what she had expected; she thought Travis would be rough and filled with anger, especially after she compared him to Lucas. However, now Travis was touching every inch of her body with a sense of emotion that made Luna have to bite her lip hard to suppress any moans."Even though you've rejected me, I will provide you with a beautiful first night experience that you will never forget," Tr

Luna's eyes widen in disbelief. Then, Travis walks briskly towards her, grabbing her shoulder with a tight grip."Tell me quickly, who gave you this phone?" Travis demands, his grip intense. Luna closes her eyes tightly, not expecting Travis to become this aggressive. She can't tell him that she stole the phone from Priscilla, as she doesn't want Travis to punish the servant who indirectly helped her. Arka senses Lucas's emotions and moves closer, trying to restrain him."Don't you want to finish this brat off in our current situation?" Lucas asks."They said there hasn't been any ship passing through Darmaga or any foreign vessel seen in the past week," Arka reports, causing Lucas to rub his forehead, unsure of how to proceed in finding Luna."Does that mean the kidnapper is still on the island?" Leon guesses, to which Arka shakes his head."I don't think so. There must be a way for the kidnapper to take Luna off the island. If he's still here, we would have found her by now," Arka's statement prompts Lucas to nod in agreement."So, what do we do now?" Lucas asks, causing Arka to fall silent as he contemplates their next steps."We need to think of another approach," Arka suggests.
