Hazel's POV~

My thoughts were racing as I tried to concentrate on the files in front of me on my desk. The memory of last night’s confrontation with Alicia still haunted me. I hadn’t told Noah yet and was uncertain about whether I should do so or not. What would he think? I obviously didn't want him to be worried about me but yet I was a bit scared of Alicia; he clearly had a loose screw or two.

I took a long breath and tried to compose myself. There was no way Alicia’s threats were going to ruin my day. ‘Like I would ever let anyone intimidate me’ I thought as I got back to my work. Noah had come to me and not her; so why couldn't she just accept it?

I kept working until the moment when the clock hit three. “Time to go get the kids” I muttered as I packed all of my stuff and left the office. My plan was to pick up Kaiser and Kyla from school before dark; though I would just end up carrying some work back home.
