I looked around the room once again and finally turned to the only person I wasn't expecting here.
Indeed a surprise.
I moved towards the exit where Elena was standing. I didn't want to talk to her right now. No one in their right mind would do.
Just as I reached the handle, Elena took hold of my wrist, "Aha," she shook her head, "Where do you think you're going? Sorry sweetheart, you ain't going anywhere."
I crossed my arms, "Cut the crap already... I have to be somewhere."
She looked me dead in the eyes, "And where is it?"
I sighed and told her that I had to be with Ms Hayes right now. After hearing me she laughed. She freaking laughed! I'm sure I didn't crack a joke.
I looked at her confused. Her smile disappeared, "What did you think? Ms Hayes called you?... Of course, she did, if only I was her."
Realization dawned upon me. I wasn't in the wrong room. I was very much in the right room. I was just called by the wron
Hey guys Who do you think came to become the knight in the shining armor for Amelia?? Vote, comment and share! Love you!
My mouth gape open seeing the person in front of me. I looked at Elena, her face had turned pale. All the colours from her face had drained away the second Damien stepped into the room. "Damien," I whispered, my voice still muffled by the cloth. His eyes flickered to mine and in that moment warmness spread through me. His blue eyes were holding so much warmth that they reminded me of the calmness of the ocean, but not before they turned a shade of raging storm. His eyes found their way back to Elena's. I could clearly see her gulping. She took a step back, "I can explain t-this," Damien raised his hand out in front of him and that was enough to shut her up. I had never seen Damien looking this murderous like he could kill anyone. I watched between the two of them as none of them moved. Finally, Damien took a step towards her in a threatening way. His eyes flickered to mine again then back to her as if not able to decid
"He's my father." I said in a low voice, if it wasn't quiet in the car, mom wouldn't have heard it at all. Mom tensed beside me, "What are you talking about?" I faced towards her, "You know very well what I'm talking about, mom. He is my father, isn't he?" Her grip tightened on the steering wheel, "Yes." She said. And that little word was enough to make me sure. That little word was enough to break me. Break my trust. "What happened?" I asked her. She ran one of her hands through her hair, "It doesn't matter." "Of course, It does." I practically yelled at her. She looked at me surprised before looking ahead. Sighing, she stopped the car just right in front of our home. But I didn’t move an inch. She clicked her seat belt then turned to face me, "You want to know what happened?" I nodded at her to which she gave me a small smile. "Jerome," she started, "and I were extremely in love with each other. It all
"I'm sorry," Damien said. I looked up at him, "Why are you being sorry? It wasn't your fault," He looked down at his hands, "If only I wasn't so curious that morning, you wouldn't have been here like this." I took his hands in mine and squeezed them, "And I would have never come to know about this. If anything I should be thankful to you." I gave him a reassuring smile. He looked at me and I noticed the flecks in his eyes which reminded me of snow. How did I not notice them before? He leaned in a little closer, "You." Then leaned in a little more, "Are." He further leaned in that I could practically feel his breath fan my face. I took a deep breath— min and lemon. "Absolutely." Our lips were just inches apart. A little closer and our lips would be touching. "Amazing." He added smirking. And right when he was about to close the last few inches between us, the door to my room swung
I looked around and noticed expensive paintings hung up on the walls. His house was just as spacious as Damien's. But still the walls here had more light in them. Like the walls ik Damien’s home didn't get many moments to hold in them, craving to hear those touches of family laughter. Maybe because Damien was almost alone every night. Evan came running down the stairs, almost jumping and skipping all the stairs. Smiling wide he came and stood in front of me. Then as if not sure, he came near me and poked me with his finger. When he realized that indeed I was here, he let out a sigh of relief, "It's you." "In the flesh," I replied back. "Mom told me that you were waiting for me. I couldn't believe her so I ran here just to check if it really was you." "You satisfied?" "Very much... Anyways would you like to have something?" He asked. I just had some bread before coming here, so I shook my head in denial. "Come on, pizza?"
"Shit!" I screamed into my phone. "What's wrong?" Anna asked. "Shit!" "What's wrong?" "Shit!" "Just shut this shit up and answer me!" Anna yelled— frustrated. “I am dead Anna.” I cried. “Just tell me what the fuck is wrong, will you?” I fell silent. "Well?" She urged me. I sighed, "Anna it's Friday already. And you know what that means…" "I do? I am not sure, Mia if I know about it." I ran my hands through my hair, "I have to go out with Marcus today." "WHAT!?" Anna squealed into my phone so loud that I had to put my phone a little away from my ear. "Yeah? You don't remember?" I asked. "Are you kidding me? You never told me! How could you?" "I'm so sorry. I thought I told you." I said guiltily. "Ah, never mind. I'm coming over. I'll bring Stace too." She hung up the phone. I stared into
"Are you fine?" Damien asked me. He was sitting on the ground with his back pressed against the cold steel. I groaned in response and continued hitting my head on the cold door. He reached out for his pocket and took out a bar of chocolate, then opening it I could see him extending it from the corner of my eyes, "Want some?" He asked. I ignored him and hit my head again. He sighed, "Come on. Hitting your head won't get us out of here...and neither is your head that strong that it could break this door. So just give up already." He was right. Hitting my head won't get us anywhere. If anything it will make my head swell. I sighed and turned around to face him, "Can you try again?" He raised his eyebrows and taking a bite of his chocolate he said, "I've already tried more than I can count." I ran my hands through my hair. It had been about twenty minutes since we were trapped in here. We had alread
I took a deep breath and looked around the room which I have just cleaned. Satisfied by myself I sit on the chair of my study table. Taking a book out I open the page where I last left it. I play with the corner of the page while staring at it. I had not seen Damien for the whole day today. He told me he had something important to do. He promised that he would be back before ten. He asked me not to sleep before ten and wait for him. I wonder what was it. But the good part is Damien doesn't know about Marcus and won't be seeing him because he'll not be back before ten. I don't like hiding this from him but considering how he despises Marcus I'm sure if he knew, he would not let the poor boy even sit for a while without any worry. I shook my head amusedly. How did I even become friends with him? I remember the first time we met, I was so furious at
It has been two days since Damien last talked to me. I don't know what's wrong with him. But I really miss him. His cocky comments, his jokes, and his caring nature. Today was Monday, I hoped I will get to talk to him in the car, but then I realized I actually had to ride with Joey today. I sighed and shook my head. Too much for some peace. I know what I will have to face in the car once Joey comes to know what happened that night. I already told you. He would say. Anyhow, only I know how I've managed to avoid him for the past two days from ducking under the bed or climbing a tree whenever I saw him coming anywhere near me. But. That's all going to go in vain. Because I will have to face him now. Whether I like it or not. Sighing, I got into the car, Joey was already sitting there in the driver's seat. You see my parents trust me so much that they don't even let me drive
It has been three days since I have locked myself up in my room. Pulling the curtains on the windows and keeping the lights off, one would never know if it was day or night. I didn't care. Not anymore. I felt like a dead person who didn't even want to get up to clean herself. With messy hair in a bun, and me under my covers for most of the day, it was all because of me. It was my fault. I was the villain of my own love story. If only I would have trusted him he could have been with me today. He could have been sitting here with me, laughing together. I sighed frustrated. And cried for the umpteenth time. What am I supposed to do? Joey said he'll make things alright...but how? For all I know Damien is in some another country where he has a different number.
I glanced at my watch. Four o'clock it showed. I sighed as I looked in front of me. This was a massive house to live in. With French windows covered with big black curtains, one would always wish to live in such a place.I took a few steps and stood in front of the door steps. I was at Marcus's house.I know I should be running to stop Damien from leaving. But I wanted to get a closure from Marcusbefore I did anything else.I was about to reach for the doorbell when I heard his voice cut from somewhere outside. Soft, kind voice. So much sweetness in the voice that it told you there was nothing but sincerity in it.Stepping away from the door I followed his voice to the back of the house. The green grass was cut as short and neatly as a professional as I walked on them. I stood just at the entrance where the whole area spread into its green colour.Marcus was standing in the middle--his back turned to me. With one hand on his phone and
Damien clenched his jaw tight. "What was that sound?" I turned towards the teacher who was now sitting wide awake. He looked at both of us expecting us to answer him. When he didn't reply he shook his head in disappointment. "I'll be back in a minute. I trust you both enough to not go before the given time." He said rising up from his seat. He stretched his hands a little before opening the door and then closing it slowly. I sat there still unable to speak. It can't be Marcus. It isn't Marcus. He is so sweet, caring and kind. He loves me. He won't do such a thing to me. Slowly turning my head to Damien I notice his head bent down as he took shallow breath. "You don't believe me." He whispered. I stared at him as he raised his head and looked at me with his eyes darker than ever before. "You said you loved me." I started. "I do." "Then why didn't you call off the bet Damien?" If he really loved me
I was sitting in Mr Watts class trying to pay attention every now and then. I had already done what he was explaining in the class. So I leaned back in the chair closing my eyes. I thought of the way Joey reacted when I told him about Damien. It was nothing of what I expected. I thought he'll be out on some killing mission but instead he was unnervingly calm. Telling Joey everything about that day just made me open the same wounds again. Just made me realize how much I wanted the answers. If only he would have told me the truth. Maybe just maybe I would have forgiven him. I sighed. I feel pathetic. I am so in love with Damien, that I am ready to forgive him for everything he did. I thought I have detached myself enough to stay away from him. Enough that I could lead a normal life. That I'll fall in love with a guy who loves me. But I was wrong. Wrong in so
‘Amelia's pov’ I groaned as the sunlight shamelessly shunned upon me. I swear people these days can't have their privacy. Although my head was having a full-on blast of headache, I was feeling light. Good kind of light. Opening my eyes I stare at the ceiling smiling. Why am I smiling? Especially when I have a headache. What happened yesterday? I check my phone. There was a missed call from that same unknown number. I wasn't able to pick it up. I lay back down now trying to remember yesterday. Damien. Damien and then more Damien and then drinking and then, blank. I don't remember anything. How the hell do I not remember anything? The door to my room opened followed by a loud voice, "Look, what I brought you. Wanna kill this headache? Here."&
'DAMIEN'S POV' I took her out of the party. She walked for some time before turning towards me in a questioning way, "What are you doing? Why are we out here?" I sighed, "I'm taking you back home." She widened her eyes, "I don't wanna go hoooome! I'm going back insiiiide." And started swaying back towards the party. I took hold of her hands and pulled her towards me, "No, you are not. And even if you are gonna go back inside I should leave you in safe hands. Where is Joey?" She looked at me with her forest-green eyes. Pulling me into the depths of them. I almost forgot the effect of her eyes on me. It's been too long now. I suck in a deep breath, "He's home. He didn't come to the party. He had some work. Marcus will take care of me." That one name. That one name was enough to make
I woke up to the birds chirping at some distance. Sitting straight up I noticed the surrounding around me. The great tree standing near me. All the flowers looking beautiful like ever. It was the meadow. What was I doing here? Again. I look and notice Damien was not anywhere near in sight. Getting up, I knew where I would find him. Where I had found him before. I reached the end of the meadow and as expected saw Damien standing there with his back turned to me. He was on his phone. Just as I remember. I reached out for him and put my hand on his shoulder. He turns around while slipping the phone into his pocket. A stone-cold expression on his face. "What's the matter?" I as
I could feel my legs jammed. "Li?" I heard someone call out again. That's it. I can't run away from him long enough. It was time since I faced him. I got up slamming my hands on the table and turned around. In the middle was a boy calling out to someone else. I sighed in relief. It wasn't him. Getting out of my seat I went to the guy. He looked at me in a questioning way. "Who do you think you are, calling Li?" I asked. "Uh, my friend over there. Her name is Linda. So I call her Li." He told me. "You can't call her that." "Excuse me?" He looked at me as if I was joking. "I said you can't call her that. Call her anything you want just not Li." I told him seriously. "Are you crazy? I can call her whatever I want. She's my friend." He looked a little angry. "Don't you understand when I tell you not to call her that!" I
*One month later (26th September)* I walked into the school smiling with him beside me. He looked at me from the corner of his eyes and smiled to himself, then taking my hands in his, he intertwined them together. I could feel the warmth radiating through him. Once, I reached the group I was engulfed in a tight hug by Stace, "I'm so happy for you. Happy one-month anniversary Mia." She said into my hair. As she let go of me, I gasped for air. Damn this girl has quite a grip. Once I was supplied with enough oxygen, I chuckled at her, "Thanks." Before she could say anything else she was shoved away by Valentino, "Hey Woodie. I want a party." He grinned. I rolled my eyes at the name the boys had given me. "Sure. What about a poop party for you?" He scrunched up his nose, "You are disgusting." I blew him a kiss, "And you love me for tha
