Marrissa's point of view

I tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. My eyes refused to stay shut, and my mind would not stop racing. My hands ran over my body absentmindedly, still filled with the sensations from earlier. What had happened between Morgan and me was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It was not just good—it was fire. Nothing I had ever imagined, and certainly nothing I have seen in movies.

Of course, he had to ruin it with that arrogant mouth of his. Typical Morgan. Still, I could tell he enjoyed it just as much as I did, no matter what he said.

A small smile crept onto my lips despite myself. Maybe this marriage would not be as unbearable as I had feared. Maybe I would not end up killing Morgan after all.

The alarm clock jolted me out of my thoughts. I turned my head, staring at the glowing numbers. Morning already? screamed. I dragged myself out of bed, feeling groggy and disoriented. After a quick breakfast, I heard a knock at the door. My stomach sank. Wh

Morgan's point of view My fashion designer arrived immediately after my meeting with my maids. Good morning sir, I have everything set for your wedding, he said.I nodded, gesturing him to my ante room, where I intended to get dressed. He adjusted the tailored suit he had made for me, polished my shoes until they shone like a mirror and even picked out the wristwatch that would complement my look. I stood still as he worked, letting him fasten the cufflinks and smooth out any invisible imperfections.Everything was flawless. My reflection in the mirror stared back at me, clean-cut and sharp, but there was something I had not noticed until I caught the designer's gaze in the mirror. He was smiling—no, smirking at me, like he had just heard an inside joke I was not in on.“What?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.“Nothing, sir,” he replied, his smile lingering.“Why are you smiling like that?” My irritation was beginning to bubble to the surface.“I’m sorry, sir,” he said, but his tone was

Marrissa's point of view “Marissa!” Molly screamed, her voice loud and full of excitement as usual, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw me. She froze for a second. “Whoa. You look absolutely beautiful! Damn, I almost could not recognize you.”“Oh, stop it, Mol,” I said, trying to wave her off, though I could feel the blush creeping up my neck. She was not done, of course. Her gaze shifted, and she immediately locked eyes on Jason, who was standing by the side with a faint, amused smile. Molly’s eyed me, curiosity written on her face.“Oh, Mol, this is Jason,” I said quickly, gesturing toward him. “My childhood friend, Jason.”Her eyebrows shot up, and before I could stop her, she blurted out, “Jason? Like Jason? The one you used to have a crush on?”I felt my stomach drop. “God, Molly!” I hissed, feeling the heat spread to my face. I wanted to disappear right then and there. Trust Molly to say whatever pops into her head.I shot her a deadly glare, but she just laughed loudly, cl

Marrissa's point of view I turned to walk the other way, but Farrow was there again, stepping into my path like she had been waiting for this moment all her life. That stupid smile of hers stretched across her face, triumphant and taunting, like she had just won an award.“If you have got something to say, then spill it out,” I snapped. “Stop wasting my time.”Farrow folded her arms, bringing her head closer to me as she slowly looked at me, from the top of my head to my shoes, taking her time as if she wanted me to feel every second of her judgment.“Are you done?” I asked, my tone clipped. “Good. Now get the hell out of my way.”“You do look a little more... human, I must say.” Her smirk widened. “Amazing what money can do—it makes even rags look brand new.”I froze for a moment, trying to keep my composure. “Excuse you?”“Oh, do not act surprised,” she said, her voice syrupy with mockery. “Isn’t that what all this is about? Trying to get a taste of the Thornhill fortune?”“You m

Morgan's point of view I forced my legs to move, each step feeling heavier than the last. My hands trembled at my sides, but I refused to let them clench into my fists, no matter how badly I wanted to hit something—or someone. The hardest part, though, was holding my tongue, keeping all the venomous words racing in my mind, locked behind my teeth. I could not afford to lose control. Not yet. Not here.Farrow stopped a few steps ahead, sensing my presence. She turned to face me, her lips curving into that sly, seducing smile she always wore when she thought she was in control. Her eyes danced with the confidence of someone who believed she had already won.“What’s your next plan now, Morgan?” she asked, her tone as casual as if we were discussing the weather. “What do you mean?” I replied evenly. “Going on with the wedding, of course.”Her expression twisted, disbelief spreading across her face. “What? You are still going to marry that whore?” she spat the word like poison, her voic

Marrissa's point of view I watched Morgan walk away, his shoulders so stiff , his face tense and I just could not hold back my tears anymore. They flowed freely now, no longer restrained by the false composure I had worn all day. But it was not just the fact that he was leaving me behind that broke me—it was how he left. Even when he was beside me, he felt distant. His voice when saying the vows had been so strained, like he was forcing the words iut of his mouth, the words were so cold. The way his eyes had looked at me when he lifted my veil—it was so full of disgust, and calling me a shameless whore broke me into many pieces. If only he would listen. Just listen to my explanation. But Morgan Thornhill was definitely not the kind of man who entertained explanations.“Well, Marissa,” you need to make him hear you,” my inner voice whispered.I swallowed hard and nodded to myself. Yes, I needed to find a way. No matter how impossible it seemed, I had to get through to him. “Mad

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Hoping this will fix everything

Marrissa's point of view A thought suddenly crossed my mind, and I hurried downstairs, my heart beating with urgency.I could not afford to waste any time, though the dimly lit corridors of the house seemed to conspire against me. Twice, I ended up in the wrong hallway, frustration bubbling up with every wrong turn. “Where is it?” I whispered under my breath, turning another corner only to see the same ornate painting for the third time. “What the hell?” I almost screamed loudly.“Madam?” I turned to see Clara, the head maid, standing a few feet away. Her stern but kind face softened as she saw my frustrated look. “Thank God,” I sighed, walking up to her. “Clara, I need your help.” “With what?” she asked, her brows knitting together. “Should you not be resting, Madam?” “I can not rest right now,” I said quickly. “I have a plan. Something important.” I hesitated for a moment, then said, “I want to cook dinner for Morgan.” Her eyes widened. “Cook dinner?” she repeated, as

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My accomplice and I

Farrow’s point of view “Oh, what a day!” I exclaimed, stretching lazily on the soft, luxurious couch in my bedroom. It was so comfortable that I almost sank into it completely, feeling its warmth against my skin. I deserved this moment—this peace after such a fulfilling day.“Will you be careful?” I snapped suddenly, glaring down at the maid massaging my feet. Without thinking twice, I shoved her back. She gasped, recoiling in fright, her hands trembling as though she had been burned.I watched her cower, her small frame practically folding into itself, and I felt a twinge of satisfaction. She had done nothing wrong—she had been as careful and precise as always. But I enjoyed the sight of people cowering before me, their faces tightening with fear. I chuckled, a dark, wicked sound that echoed around the room like a bell tolling doom. But it was not the maid that had me in such a good mood. No, my laughter was for something far sweeter: Marrissa’s face. The memory of it lit up my mind

Tell me how it happened.” My voice was cold, filled with disgust. She could see it in my face, feel it.“For one,” she started, her voice trembling, “Farrow hit me first. I diid not do anything to her. She… she was saying all these horrible things about me. She said I was trying to seduce you for your wealth, Morgan! I could.not take it. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Party continues

Morgan's point of view I sensed trouble the moment I saw Farrow walk into the hall. It was not just the way she carried herself, all poised and confident, as if she had just won some grand victory, it was the look in her eyes. A dangerous glow in her eyes told me she was up to no good. But nothing could have prepared me for the utter nonsense she spewed out next. "Pregnant," she had said, smiling like she just made a happy announcement. And just like that, everyone in the hall became confused. As for me, I almost laughed. No, I actually did laugh. A bitter, humorless sound that barely made it past my lips before anger flooded in. I would never father a child with Farrow Hudson. The very idea was disgusting. Unthinkable. Especially not now that everything is fine with me and Marrissa. But the scary thing is, even as my mind screamed that it was not possible, a whisper of doubt crawled its way into my thoughts. What if—just what if—she was telling the truth? I shook my head v

Farrow's point of view The hall suddenly fell into a suffocating silence, one that shocked me.Just some moments ago, there had been soft music playing, everyone was chattering happily, and some were even making toast, clinking their glasses gently, but now… nothing, everyone just looked sad and worried. Every eye was on me. Some wide with shock, others narrowed in disbelief, and a few whispering behind cupped hands.I felt the weight of their stares pressing down on me, but I didn’t understand why.I laughed loudly, the sound of my laughter hollow in the quiet hall. “What?” I asked, raising my hands slightly, as if the answer would materialize out of thin air. “Why is everyone looking at me like that?”No one responded. The silence dragged on.“Why is everyone sad?” I asked again, my voice rising just a little. “This is supposed to be good news, not… not whatever this is. Why are you all staring at me like I just said something awful?”Still nothing, no one responded. “Okay,” I s

I woke up in the morning and looked at myself in the mirror, the necklace hanging on my neck was so beautiful, “I'm sure he spent a fortune on this”, I thought to myself. I looked at the engagement ring and smiled. “I can't wait to show it off at work”, I whispered. The buzz of my phone startled me. It was a message from Kathy. “Oh shoot !I need to get back to the mansion. It was the day before his birthday party and the decoration of his house would begin very early tomorrow. I went downstairs and saw him in the kitchen. I stood at a corner watching him cook. “It's lovely watching you cook”, I said walking towards him. “Hey darling, Good morning, " he said , pecking my check. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A surprise for my love

Morgan's point of view I suspected something was going on, the excitement surrounding Marrissa was something else. I asked her what her excitement was about, and with a smiling face she said nothing. Of course, I didn't believe her, I saw her on a number of occasions discussing with Kathy and Siri, always whispering and giggling. I asked Kathy and Siri what's going on, and they said nothing was going on. I gave up. So that afternoon, I took my phone and dialed a number. “Hello Mark”. “Hello Mr Thornhill”, he replied on the other line. “Is my baby ready for pickup”, I asked. “All set sir.” “Okay, I'll be right there”. Taking my keys, I drove to Imperial valley. “Good afternoon Mr Thornhill”, the secretary greeted, smiling seductively. “Hey Jane, how's work?”, I said, walking into Mark's office. We shook hands and I sat on a chair facing him. “Your baby is ready and I must say she is dazzling to behold”. I smiled, “I can't wait to see her”, I said. “Did you put the stuff I asked f

Farrow's point of view I wiggled my legs in joy, holding my wine glass high.“Congratulations to us,” I said, dancing in joy.Morgan just won the WBA award and that makes us automatically richer.“Oh yeah,” I danced, watching him go up the stage to get the award.“Go baby,” I screamed. And there he was, my Morgan Thornhill, standing tall and powerful, accepting the award on behalf of Thornhill Enterprises. His suit was sharp, and his presence alone was commanding. But suddenly,my happy mood turned sour, bitter even. But it wasn’t Morgan that made my blood boil. It was a name he just called.Marrissa. What! Why the fuck does he need her on stage. Why praise her, she is a goddamn secretary, she is doing her job.I can't understand this. She stood by his side, her arm looped through his like she belonged there — like she was the one meant to stand next to him in that moment of victory. Cameras flashed, reporters murmured while moving everywhere, the entire air buzzed with that familiar mix of excitement and tension. The WBA ceremony is not an ordinary award ceremony. Morgan's point of view I could not stop thinking about my date with Marrissa. It wasn’t like any other date I had ever had. It was… different. She was different. The way she smiled, the way she challenged me without fear, the way she made my heart race like I was a teenager with a crush for the first time, it was all consuming.I hated the fact that it took me this long to realize this how perfect she is.
