Markus was gritting his teeth as his voice came through the phone.

Tally was at a loss for words.

Before Markus could finish, Tally hung up on him.

The car was awkwardly quiet.

Victor perked his eyebrow. "Did Markus call?"

Tally answered, "Ignore him."

Tally could never comprehend why Markus turned out this way.

She used to think he was a decent person at the Albert Group, but now, he turned into a completely different person, someone she barely recognized.

Tally was certain his parents could barely recognize him, too. Chris had nurtured him for so many years. He must have been depressed about how Markus turned out.
