Chapter 967

Markus' breaths grew heavier.

Tally, too, was taken aback. She recognized the sound. It was the same sound she had heard in the mountains the day before. Surprise washed over her as she realized Victor was armed.

Anxiety set in as she met Victor's dangerous gaze. "V-Victor, calm down!"

"Are you now aware of how dangerous he is? Are you still determined to be with someone like him?" Markus spoke defiantly, seemingly unafraid of the imminent threat.

Henry and Tally exchanged speechless glances, treating Markus as if he were a fool. Markus provoking Victor at this critical moment would only further irritate him. It wouldn't do him any good.

Henry was utterly dumbfounded.

Tally quickly said, "Hurry up and take him away! Are you going to let him die right here?"

Henry immediately snapped back to reality and hurried toward Markus. "Mr. Hunt, I think we should leave."

"Tally Johnson!" Markus gritted his teeth and growled, his tone and gaze suggesting a desire to tear Tally apart.
