The corners of Irina's lip twitched as she stared at Markus, who had been abandoned.

Yet, she only glanced at him briefly. Then, she straightened her body. With the strength that she had left, she chased after Byron and the two bodyguards and left.

Both bodyguards walked extremely fast.

This must have been a joke. How would one not be terrified of sharing an umbrella with their boss?

Byron didn't walk very fast, so Markus caught up with him.

The rain was too heavy. He wanted to take cover under Byron's umbrella. Unfortunately, the umbrella was too small.

Byron's shoulder was drenched with water even though he was the only one under the umbrella.

"Who were these people you brought?" Markus said with rage in his tone.

They'd practically snatched the umbrellas earlier.

Byron glanced at him, confused. "They are bodyguards. Don't think of them as slaves."

So, using Joseph at his expense was never going to work here.
