Travis couldn't believe Kathryn had grown up in that kind of environment.

He wasn't certain if Kathryn was his sister. Yet, a dark cloud settled on his face.

He reached for the cup in front of him and took a sip from it.

He didn't answer Chris. He responded with a question, "So, Kathryn did get a burn on the back of her neck, huh? Did you ask how she got that burn?"

Chris never asked where the burn came from.

He knew how much pain she went through looking at that big burn scar. He couldn't bear to inquire further about it.

"Can I see her?" Travis asked.

"You can't. She just gave birth. I'm sure she's asleep now."

Chris wasn't sure what he felt. He insisted not to let them meet.

He thought about it and added, "She couldn't possibly be your sister."

"How could you be so sure?" Travis panicked.

His father only had six months left. He had to get this sorted out as soon as possible.
