Krista talked about many things to Chris. Yet, she eventually left the hospital with Savanna as she desperately suppressed her desire of wanting to rush into Kathryn's maternity ward.

Savanna stared at Krista's back as they waited in the elevator. She suddenly felt a sense of bitterness in her heart.

"Why didn't you go inside and see her?"

"What am I going to say after I meet her? Am I going to tell her that I'm trying to be friendly to her because I wanted to reconcile with Chris?" Krista asked. She thought that outsiders might have believed what she said if they didn't really know what was going on.

It would be tough for her to control her emotions if she'd had close contact with Kathryn. She was afraid that Kathryn would notice something, as she was a sensitive person.

"If you really want to, you could actually—"

"Mom, I almost killed her!"

Savanna was stunned. She felt suffocated.
