Chapter 504

Tally was so angry that she had started crying. She cried for a long while before finally wiping the tears off her face and getting back up with renewed energy.

Markus said she needed to get back to work tomorrow, so that meant she needed to find someone tonight. Whoever she picked, she needed to be able to convince him.

Tally instantly gave herself the motivation to go on. By the time she'd recovered and went back into the restaurant, the table she'd just left was empty, and a waiter was cleaning it up.

Tally's heart seized up, and she asked the waiter, "Where did the guy go?"

The waiter answered respectfully, "Hi, miss. The gentleman's already paid the bill and left."

Tally was speechless. She couldn't believe that he had left just like that. Why were all these people so scared of Chris even though they were friends with him?

Usually, these men would find an excuse to leave the moment they heard Chris' name. This guy was even worse. He didn't even stay long enough to say hi.
