When Chris didn't answer, his mysterious gaze made Kathryn's chest tighten. But then she remembered Tally's analysis, and she pressed on. "Tell me. How much do you have?"

"How much do you want?"

"All of it."

Chris was speechless.

All of it?

Was this woman joking?

"You've hugged me and slept with me, so I need to know if you are being serious."

"What do you think?" Chris countered with a question instead of answering her, then looked at her amusedly. He wanted to see what she was trying to do.

She was a coward, but she was also smart. Kathryn's heart skipped a beat when she sensed the wit in his tone. Still, she worked up her courage and shot back shamelessly.

"If you're serious, then you need to let me handle all of your money. It's what couples do."

"You want to handle my money?"

"Can't I?" Kathryn huffed.

Chris nodded. "Yes, you can." Then, he took out his wallet and gave it to her.

"Huh?" Kathryn asked.

"Didn't you ask to handle my money? It's all in here. Take it."
