Meanwhile, Chris was in the middle of a meeting at Albert Group when Kathryn called him. He frowned, so Tara stepped forward and asked, "Shall I take the call for you outside?"

After all, this was an important meeting. So, it wasn't a good time to take the call now.

However, Chris shook his head and made a "pause" gesture before he answered the call. "Yes?" His tone instantly became gentler.

Everyone in the meeting looked at Chris in surprise. He'd previously been cold and stern, and it was obvious they'd never seen his gentle side.

But the voice on the phone wasn't Kathryn's. Anxiously, the voice asked, "Hello, sir. May I inquire about the owner of this phone?"

Chris' demeanor turned cold when he realized it wasn't Kathryn. "Did she lose her phone?" he asked coldly.

"No, we're calling from the Emergency Room of Central West Hospital. The owner of this phone has just gotten into an accident, and we're trying to contact her next of kin."

Kathryn had no contacts listed on her pho
