Kathryn pursed her lips together, then replied politely, "It's okay, Mrs. Miller. It's all in the past now."

"You're so forgiving, Mrs. Albert. I'm glad to hear it's all in the past."

Kathryn didn't reply.

"You know, I was so disappointed by Amelia's actions. I've given her a stern lecture, and I'll make sure Mia faces punishment for what she said to you."

"Aunt Grace!" Kathryn heard Mia cry out on the other end. At the same time, Grace turned around to glare at Mia threateningly. That finally shut Mia up.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Miller. Do tell Ms. Davis that enough is enough. After all, Chris is a married man now, not some guy she can throw herself onto."

"You're right, Mrs. Albert. I'll be sure to educate her properly," Grace said politely. She kept reassuring Kathryn. They ended up talking for over ten minutes before she finally hung up.
