Chapter 165 Distinguishing Who You Are

After a moment of silence, there was no response from the other end of the phone.

Natalie was confused. "Mr. Wild?"

"Okay, I'll post the statement soon." Roger's indifferent tone made Natalie feel strange.

When she recalled their first meeting at the hospital, his attitude towards her now was quite different. "Mr. Wild, I want to ask you something."

"Yes, ask away."

"Do I resemble someone from your past? Is that why you became friends with me?" Natalie had originally wanted to say, "Is that why you are so good to me?" She could sense that Roger's tolerance towards her exceeded what one would expect from a friend of just over a month.

Roger didn't seem like an enthusiastic person when it came to making friends.

"Yes, you do resemble her." After a pause, Roger added, "But I can distinguish that you are you."

This meant that he genuinely wanted to be her friend.

Natalie smiled contently, saying, "I'm honored."

Her laughter, clear as a bell, reached Roger's ears through the phone.
