Chapter 121 Did I Hurt You Last Night?

While taking a shower, Natalie remembered the intelligent voice communication system next to the bathtub and called Jane to assure her that everything was okay. She had planned to lie and say that nothing major had happened, but little did she know that Jane had already found the Rosewood Estate.

"Jane, I have prepared myself for worse outcomes even before marrying Oliver. Our marriage isn't equal to begin with; he's bound by the engagement, and I'm bound by reality. So, it doesn't matter. You be good and don't mess things up," Natalie told Jane in this way.

Natalie's conservatism stemmed from a lack of trust in emotions.

She wasn't prudish; her body should have belonged to Oliver a long time ago.

What she found difficult to accept was disappointment.

She had already started to let down her emotional barriers. She thought that even in a marriage without a foundation of love, she could still live harmoniously with him.

But, as expected, she had been too presumptuous, too laughable!
