Chapter 3- She's Your Mate Isn't she?

-Aspen P.O.V-

"Skylar," she laughed and ended it with a smile, she looked breath taking, smiling at me.

"It's nice to meet you Skylar but I have to go," I told her confused as to why she had not recognised me from the other night, I looked down at her neck, the mark I left on her was covered, covered in make-up. it made me angry, she was hiding my mark.

"You look so familiar," she said with her eyebrows crossed.

"Yeah, I get that a lot," she gasped.

"Y-You you were the vampire that bit me, you left two marks on my neck," she said backing up.

"I'm sorry I couldn't control it," I told her going to touch her.

"Don't touch me," she said running back into her house.

I wanted to go after her but I couldn't move, seeing my mate cry in front of me made me hurt and guilty that I was the one who made her hurt. I then found myself walking back to my castle, I walked to my room ignoring everyone. I sat on my bed, my vision started to get blurry and I felt water rolling down my cheeks. I, Aspen Xavier Mikealson has never cried and I never will. I wiped away the tears and walked towards the bathroom to take a shower because I stank. 

Once I had finished my shower I put on a clean pair of boxers and walked towards my room, I put on the suit the tailor had made. It was navy blue with a white shirt and a black bow. I did my hair and put on a pair black smart shoes, I would wear my sneakers but my mom will kill me. I walked out of my room and towards the ball room, I looked at the time to see it was 6.40 and I was supposed to be there at 6.30. Oh, who cares?

"Aspen Xavier Mikealson, you better have a good reason for- honey are you crying?" Mom gasped.

"It's nothing mom, let's just do this."

The guards announced me and my mom, we linked arms and walked in. My mom was really beautiful, she is a very funny person to be with and she is so sweet, she is an amazing mother. My mom was wearing a strapless cream dress which had sheer black over it and with some black designs on the top, my mom was 1089, but she looked like she was still 27, young and beautiful.

We walked down the stairs and towards the front where our thrones were, I know, I know it sounds like those olden time shit but the royals still have this shit. We sat down and watched as everyone went back to talking, the time was now 7 and I was hoping that Skylar would show up. 

Time went by and still no Skylar, I was currently dancing with a girl that looked like a whore, she had on a short tight dress and her breasts were threatening to fall out of the tight dress. The smell of lavender filled my nose, I looked around to see if Skylar was anywhere to be found. My eyes landed on a girl, she was wearing a navy-blue dress, it was tight from the top and showed her cleavage, the dress went puffy from the hips and her hair was in curls, she looked absolutely beautiful.

"She's beautiful, isn't she?" Aurora snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah," I drooled.

"Brother close your mouth or you'll catch a fly," I closed my mouth.

"She's your soul mate, isn't she?" Aurora asked.

"Yeah, I met her a few days ago. Aurora, you can't tell anyone. Mom wouldn't want me to have a human mate." I warned her.

I walked away from Aurora, and towards Skylar.

"Hi," I said to her.

"Oh, it's you," she glared at me.

"I'm sorry about the other day, it's just that you're my soul mate and I couldn't help it. Ever since that night I haven't stopped thinking about you, earlier on today when we met outside your house, I felt so angry at myself that I hurt you, I'm supposed to protect you I'm so stupid," I rambled.

"I've been thinking about you non-stop too," she told me. 

"Let me be your first dance," I told her putting my hand out for her to take.

-Skylar P.O.V-

"I'm sorry about the other day, it's just that you're my soul mate and I couldn't help it. Ever since that night I haven't stopped thinking about you, earlier on today when we met outside your house I felt so angry at myself that I hurt you, I'm supposed to protect you I'm so stupid," he rambled.

I looked into his eyes, they were brown and you could get lost in them.

"I've been thinking about you non-stop too."

"Let me be your first dance," he put his hand out.

I placed my hand on his and felt the sparks through my body, I looked up at Aspen to see him smirking back at me. We walked towards the dance floor and the song ‘say you won't let go’ by James Arthur started playing, I rested my cheek along his chest while he had his arm around my waist. 

-Aspen P.O.V-

After the dance was over, I walked to my parents, they were standing next to Aurora and her mate Daniel.

"Aspen, darling. We have been looking all over for you, your brother tells us you found your soul mate," mom said excitingly.

"Aurora," I growled.

"Sorry, but it slipped out of my mouth when I was talking to Jax, and I guess he told mom and dad," Aurora quickly said.

"So, who is she?" Dad asked.

I frowned at them, if my father knew that Skylar was human, I would be dead, well I am already dead but I would be dead, if you get me.

"Honey, what's wrong? You should be happy you found your soul mate," mom asked.

"Nothing, it's just, when I tell you, you guys, mostly dad will be a bit angry."

"Oh, Aspen. Just tell them," Daniel said.

"Well, s-she's," I stuttered.
