Chapter Twenty

Wrong Turn:

Alice stared at the door not believing that some random pack member had just freed her. Was it this easy? Was this some kind of sick trap? It was the only way out and if she wanted out then she was going to have to go ahead and go. She slowly pushed the door open and waited. There was no noise, no sounds coming from out in the hallway. She slowly began to venture out, expecting someone to be waiting for her on the other side to throw her back in the room or throw her in a dungeon. Her feet hit the soft carpet on the hallway. She looked both ways, there was only one way to leave. The other end of the hall was a wall. If she could just find her way to a window or door that leads to an exit she would be good as gone. She hugged the wall creeping along it trying to make no sounds. She couldn't see the end of the hall, the hallway curved.

There were no other rooms in this hallway so far. She frowned knowing that most Alpha’s liked their space but lived in the pack house. She
