Surprise:

“Alpha.” A panic mindlink flashed through Arkyn’s min, He almost didn't recognized Skarde’s voice.

“What?” Arkyn sent back quickly, his hands tightening around the steering wheel as he waited for the response.

“Dark moon is here at our gates….They have Alice. There is something wrong with her. Her heart beat is steady from what I can hear but she’s not awake.” Skarde sent back.

Arkyn slammed on the brakes, the truck screeching to a halt. The van following behind them had to swerve to miss them. Garold slammed into the dashboard. Groaning, he looked at Arkyn angry. Seeing his eyes gloss over he became concerned.

“She is limp in his arms.” Skarde added, his voice cracking from anger.

“What does Jonah want?” Arkyn sent back quickly, his body shaking as he squeezed the steering wheel.

“He wants us to surrender or he'll kill Alice. He wants the remaining warriors to be placed in holding cells and to show him to your chambers.” Skarde growled.

Norris sighed loudly and at Curt but inside his wolf was vibrating with pure adrenaline and rage, waiting and wanting to cause havoc and pain on Arkyn’s pack. Curt’s eyes glossed over as he informed the pack and they began to move out of the woods, like shadow figures of the night.The glow of the bright orange flames catching the wood on fire brighter the dark area.
