Avery's POV

I stay frozen where I stand as our gazes hold. I had imagined many scenarios where I would meet him again after moving out, but I hadn't considered meeting him in my supposed negotiation with an actress who worked for a company owned by his group.

An actress who likely knew nothing about the rumors flying around. Rumors which were true.

I feel a slight nudge on my arm and I turn to see Lisa staring at me with confusion in her eyes. “Mrs Lorenzo?”
