‘Councillor, this line of questioning is ridiculous, you do not eat offal when you had the finest steak at home. You are all dismissed’

The FBI case crumbled and just before the final statements they tried to offer a plea bargain. They would drop all charges against her and the Bratva if she would withdraw this case and the FBI would cover the whole expense of the trial. Mishka put their offer to them but before they could accept it the Judge called the Lawyers into her Chambers. When Mishka returned he told them the President of the USA had made it clear there must be no plea bargain. Pressure from the British Government and public opinion demanded the trial go to its conclusion. The jury was out for just under an hour and when they came back in the result was 100% unanimous on all charges, Lissa was acquitted and the FBI found her guilty.
