Chapter 5:

Leia POV:

I couldn't even tell you what day it was, or how long I had even been here. Una kept trying to reach out to Brad but so far there has been no luck. I was literally a fighting machine, I didn't know how he was making my body do what it was doing and honestly I would rather die at this point. I kept telling myself that people would come any minute but when it didn't happen it was just a big disappointment so I stopped telling myself that. It was rare that I got to go outside anywhere and I wasn't sure if it was because he thought that I was going to break free and run away or if he just somehow knew I hated being in this damn place so it is where he kept me. The Atsila guy kept coming and going and I grew more and more curious about him. I wondered who Stella was, it had to be a family member or something. I did find out that he is an element carrier, he was to watch over Alley and then give Bosch information about her but I noticed very quickly that Atsila was vague with what he said and he always defended her when he got his chance to.

"Una, have you had any luck with Brad?" I asked, looking over at her. "Not yet, I feel as if I am close. I need a little more time." Una said, laying her head back down. I leaned my head back against the cage, I had looked this thing over top to bottom and I couldn't see a weak spot in it. "I think she is almost ready." Bosch said, making me look up. I hated how this was, I was literally trapped in my own head. I am a bystander in my own mind. "I would strongly advise against her fighting Alley. You know she won't hurt her." Atsila replied, rolling his eyes. "She won't have a choice if this little monster is relentless." Bosch said, looking at me with a smile. "You are an idiot for underestimating both of them. This one has beta blood in her. She is strong." Atsila said stunning me. He didn't even know me but had faith in me. "Oh I know she has beta blood in her, but she is no witch. She can't fight against what I have done to her and you know it." Bosch snapped. He was right, wolves never really stood a chance against witches, " I have to go attend to something, stay here with her." Bosch said before he disappeared.

Atsila stood in front of me before he whispered something. "I know you can hear me Leia, I don't know what he has done to you but I am about to find out so don't freak out." Atsila said before his hands were on the side of my head, his eyes glowed a bright red before he was standing in front of me. "What the hell." I whispered. "Listen to me, I know you probably don't trust me but I promise Alley is going to find you somehow." Atsila said quickly. "How? Can you tell her?" I asked. "I can't, it is a long story and I don't have time. Just know she is furious that you are missing and she will get to you but I am afraid the way you two meet is if you fight each other." Atsila said, looking behind me. He walked by me and was close to Una. "I hate to see this.." He whispered before he stretched his hand inside of the cage. Fire was crawling down his arm and danced around her. "This will keep her strong. Bosch won't know that it is here because they will tuck in very close to her but it won't hurt her I promise." Atsila said standing back to his feet. "Thank you.." I whispered. "When she is strong she needs to call out to someone. I must go for now. Hold on a little longer." Atsila said before he was gone.

I looked back out to see he had stepped away from me, he was helping me when he didn't have to. I had hope restored by his actions. I looked over at Una and I didn't even see the fire. "Are you alright?" I asked squatting down next to her. "I will be, I should be able to call out to Brad tonight. I just need to rest." Una said, closing her eyes. I stood up and looked back out to see Bosch was walking towards me. "You may go now, I need a moment with her." Bosch said, not taking his eyes off of me. Atsila looked at me before he disappeared. Bosch looked back at me and tilted his head to the side before he was standing in front of me. I backed up slightly sizing him up. "No need to fear me." Bosch said, leaning forward. "I don't fear you. I loathe you." I snapped. "Someone hasn't lost her fire I see." Bosch said with a smile. "I hope Alley kills you slowly." I replied, making his smile fade. "She won't have the chance. I have big plans for you." Bosch replied evenly. He made my skin crawl. He looked like death was knocking on his door and I hoped it would take him soon.
