Chapter 28:

Brandon POV:

I had been driving all night and finally had to stop to take a short nap, by the time I woke back up the sun was fully in the sky. I wanted to get there as quickly as I could and I had changed my mind early on and decided I wanted to do this alone so I sent everyone back home or took a few days. I really didn't care what they did as long as they gave me this moment. My mind was spinning in circles, I couldn't believe that it was Leia of all people, I hunted for her but could never find her and that made me feel worse about myself. If only I had found her sooner then maybe she wouldn't have gone through half of that shit and I could have been with her longer. I heard my phone ding and I looked to see Pythia had texted me. When I opened the message there was an address on it and I mentally face palmed myself. I had no idea where I was going, I knew how to get there but not to where she was but luckily for me Pythia just sent me the address. I stepped out of my car and stretched for a moment before I got back in and plugged the address in to my GPS. My heart started hammering when I realized I was only thirty minutes away. Oh crap, I wasn't expecting to be this close and I look like crap. I started digging around my bags when I felt air swirl around and Alley appeared next to me. "I figured you would need these." She said holding a couple bags up to me.

I looked at her confused before I looked in to see some dry shampoo, mouthwash and a spray bottle full of water. "This is going to come in handy. Thank you." I replied, smiling at her. "You're welcome, here I grabbed these flowers too. It's her favorite." Alley smiled. "You are a lifesaver, I didn't even think about that." I replied. "I know you didn't. I have to get back though. Good luck, take your time, we can all wait. We know how special this moment is going to be." Alley said before she disappeared. I smiled to myself, it made me feel a lot better. I grabbed a little hand towel and stepped back out of my car and sprayed my face off and dampened my hair. It would be easier to style this way. I changed my clothes and put on some deodorant and body spray and climbed back in the car. "Are you going to drive or do I need to do it for you." Lane snapped. I rolled my eyes. "Don't start with me." I replied. "I am starting with you because you are being a chicken." Lane said. "I am not! I'm nervous, asshole. Has nothing to do with me being a chicken." I replied. "Just drive before I make you. I want my mate." Lane growled. "Alright! Don't be a jerk about it." I replied slamming my car into drive. I looked around while I drove, it really was a beautiful place out here, it seemed like they got her far enough away from everyone in case she needed to shift or something.

I had to admit that I was overly curious about what they have been up to since they left, what the healing process has been like and how she has been doing. It had been a couple days since I talked with Brad. Maybe I should have called him and told him I was coming but then that would lead to a lot more questions. It felt like I blinked and I was already pulling up to a beautiful home. There was a lot of land here and I smiled. I stopped my car and put it in park when the front door opened and I felt all the blood rush from my face. Brad stepped out and I let go of the breath that I was holding. "Brandon? What are you doing here, is everything alright?" Brad asked as I stepped out of the car. "Uh, it's kind of a long story but Pythia did something for me that led me here." I replied nervously. "So what did she do?" Brad asked, eyeing me. "Well, she offered to find my mate for me and it turns out that she is here." I said looking at him. I could see my words sinking into his head and his eyes went wide when he realized what I was saying. "Leia..?" He whispered and I nodded my head. "We never met, I never could find her and believe me when I say I am kicking myself in the ass a lot harder about it now." I said. "You two never crossed paths at all?" Brad asked. "Not once. Every time we barely missed each other so I had no idea and I don't think she did either." I replied. "I think she did and didn't realize it. I had visited with you once before I went to see her and she asked why I smelled different. It was weird back then but now it makes sense." Brad said.

I heard the door open and I looked up to see their dad looking at me. "Is it true?" His dad asked. "Only one way to find out, if you don't mind that is." I replied. "Not at all, she is just around back sitting on the dock listening to music. We will give the two of you some time now, go." His dad said with a smile. I nodded and took a deep breath before I started making my way around the back of the house. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.. I tried taking some deep breaths to calm myself but it wasn't really working. I could hear music and a big pond finally came into view. I looked around until I saw her sitting on the dock, her back was towards me but her blonde hair was swaying with her body. She was singing and moving her body with the music. Everything else was a blur, I started walking a little faster until my feet stopped at the end of the dock and I watched, mesmerized. Her scent finally hit my nose and Lane just about lost his mind, this was real. This was the moment I had been waiting for.. Her head tilted slightly before she turned around and her green eyes landed on mine and right in that moment I knew I was a goner.......

    **Leia POV**

I watched Brad get all of his stuff set up before he started casting his line out. I laid back and enjoyed the sun. "You've been doing better at night." Brad said. "I am starting to feel like I am actually getting some sleep." I replied. "Well it's nice to not get my ass kicked for a change. Whatever Pythia gave you has really helped." Brad said. "It has, she said she would teach me some stuff when I decided to go back, it could come in handy one day." I replied. "I'd like to learn too. With Tye and Jackson being mated to them I have a feeling we are all about to get to know each other a lot better." Brad said. "That's not a bad thing I don't think. We just don't know them and they don't know us, it could be good or bad." I replied. "I think it would be good, it would definitely keep everyone in check knowing they would have to fight three different races at once." Brad said, shaking his head. We didn't really have any issues with other pack close to us but that didn't mean the ones scattered around were any good. Truthfully we never made any contact with them because we never needed to. With everything that has happened all of that might change. "Things are going to change Brad but for the better, you just wait and see." I said with a smile. I didn't have any bad feelings about anything but you never know.

Today was shaping out to be a good day, I don't know what it was but I was in a better mood, like something good was about to come my way, maybe I would be more at peace with myself. Brad and I sat in silence other than the radio I had on and I didn't know how much time had passed because when I sat back up Brad was cleaning up the mess he had made. "Where are you going?" I asked. "Inside to get something to eat, want anything?" Brad replied asking. "A cold water would be nice thank you." I said adjusting my sunglasses. "I'll be right back." Brad said, walking down the dock. "Maybe we can go for another run tonight." I said to Una. "I would rather rest, something is coming." Una replied, making me sit up a little straighter. "What do you mean something is coming?" I asked. "I'm not sure but I have a feeling." Una replied. I wondered what she could be talking about. No one other than Pythia knew exactly where we were so I started thinking about packs that were possibly close to us. Would they send people to come and talk to us? Surely not, I doubt my parents would pick a place that would be that close. "Here brat." Brad said, pulling me from my thoughts. "Are we close to any packs out here?" I asked. "Nope, mom and dad found this place that resides outside of any pack why whats up?" Brad asked. "I asked Una if she wanted to go for a run and she said she wanted to rest because something is coming." I said.

Brad sat down next to me and took a deep breath. "She doesn't know what it is?" Brad asked. "No, she said it's just a feeling so I started thinking about it. Who all knows we are here?" I asked. "Pythia is the only one that knows the exact location. Maybe someone from our pack is coming to check on us." Brad replied. "Yeah maybe, just let mom and dad know." I said. Brad nodded his head and stood back up and ran to the house. I turned the music up a little bit more and rolled my shoulders back. Nothing bad was going to happen, no one really knew where we were but if it was someone from the pack then I wondered what they would want. I let my mind wander while I put my feet in the water, it was at the perfect temperature, maybe after dinner I could go for a swim. A song came on the radio and I started to sing along. ``Love Me like you do by Ellie was such a beautiful song. I could feel Una start stirring around in my head before she started running around. "What is with you?" I asked because a familiar scent hit my nose. I know that scent from somewhere, I lifted my head slightly and sniffed. It was the same one that was on Brad. I turned around to say something to him when another man was looking right back at me.

He had jet black hair that was combed back and his brown eyes shined in the sun. He was fairly tall with tan skin and I slowly stood to my feet. That scent belonged to him.. "Mate.." Una whispered and it was like everything around me blurred. Both of us started walking towards each other until we met in the middle. I extended my arm out and gently touched his face, his skin was so soft. He leaned his head into my hand before he wrapped his arms around me and I melted into him. I didn't get the chance to ask what his name was and right now I didn't care.
