Emily's POV

Adrian’s gray eyes darkened as his jaw clenched, watching intently as my fingers slid one by one down the buttons of my blouse. Each pop of fabric seemed to echo in the room, growing louder with the tension between us. I took my time, teasing him, letting the material fall open enough to reveal the lace of my bra.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard, his hand already moving to the buckle of his belt.

“You’re not even going to wait for me to finish?” I teased, slipping the blouse from my shoulders and letting it pool on the floor.

He leaned back in my chair, the very picture of male restraint, though the growing bulge straining against his trousers betrayed his true thoughts. “You’re taking too long,” he growled, his voice rough with need. “And I’m not sure I can hold myself back much longer.”

“Who said anything about holding back?” I countered, stepping closer.

With every step, I shed another piece of clothing—my skirt sliding down my hips, my heels clicking agains

Emily’s POVThe warm glow of the restaurant lights reflected off the wine glasses, casting a cozy ambiance over our table. Adrian had insisted on a double date with Claire and Vincent tonight, and while I loved seeing Claire happy, there was something about the way she avoided meeting my eyes that set me on edge."Are you okay?" I mouthed to her as Adrian and Vincent exchanged friendly banter about work. Claire smiled, but it was thin and brittle, as if the smallest nudge could shatter it."I'm fine," she whispered back. Her tone didn’t convince me.The waiter came by, serving our entrees. Claire poked at her food, and I knew she was far from fine. Then, as if summoning her courage, she looked at Vincent.“I need to say something,” she began, her voice shaky. Adrian fell silent, sensing the change in the air. I put my fork down and reached for Claire’s hand beneath the table.“Go ahead,” Vincent said gently, his dark eyes steady on her.Claire drew a deep breath, her free hand cradlin

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 63 - Double Date(Adrian's POV)

Adrian’s POVSitting across from Emily, I couldn’t help but marvel at how utterly radiant she looked. Her laughter danced through the air, melodic and carefree, as she nudged Claire with a joke. Watching her with her best friend, I saw another side of her—one unburdened, glowing with a lightness I hadn’t realized I’d been desperate to protect. This was why I brought her here. Not for the food, not for the setting, but for this. For her to be surrounded by the people she loved, the people who loved her back.Vincent leaned closer to Claire, whispering something that made her roll her eyes, though the faint blush on her cheeks betrayed her amusement. For a man as bold as Vincent, his quiet tenderness toward Claire was striking. He wasn’t trying to steal the spotlight tonight, which was uncharacteristic for him.“Earth to Adrian,” Emily teased, snapping me out of my thoughts. Her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Are you going to tell us what’s on your mind, or should I order you another dri

Adrian’s POVSitting across from Vincent, I stared into the street bustling with people as I thought about the video recording from the press conference those scheming women had organized. The thought of how it would hurt Emily upset me and made me want to ruin every journalist that was in that press conference however it would only backfire and I was grateful to have a friend like Vincent deal with this with me. My thoughts churned like a storm, threatening to drown me. I finally broke the silence, my voice low and gruff."I went to see the Grahams yesterday," I said, watching as Vincent's brows furrowed. "I told them I couldn’t go through with Bianca’s demands. That any agreement we had with their family died with Samantha."Vincent leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. "And? How did they take it?"A bitter laugh escaped me. "They dismissed me like I was some rebellious teenager refusing to follow orders. Told me Samantha’s death is in the past, that Bianca wants this, a

Emily’s POVSeeing Adrian like this—vulnerable, raw, and on the verge of breaking—filled me with a sadness I couldn’t put into words. My strong, invincible man, the one who always protected me, now needed someone to protect him. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his temple gently.“You’re strong,” I whispered, stroking his cheek. “But I promise to be stronger for you.”His eyes glistened with unshed tears. It made my chest tighten. I had never seen him this way before, so human and exposed. I wiped a tear that slid down his cheek with my thumb, then tilted my head to tease him.“You know,” I said with a small smile, “I think your tears are more expensive than mermaid tears. You shouldn’t waste them.”Adrian chuckled low, but before I could say anything else, he cupped my face, his lips capturing mine in a deep, soul-searing kiss. He pressed me against the wall, his body heavy and warm against mine, and the kiss turned desperate, almost punishing. I could feel his emotions bleedi

Adrian’s POVThe cemetery was quiet, the air heavy with the faint scent of rain-soaked earth. Standing before the cold, gray headstone etched with my parents' names, I felt the weight of fifteen years lift off my shoulders. Emily stood just behind me, her hand warm and steady on my shoulder as I knelt to clear away the leaves that had gathered at the base of their grave.“I kept my promise,” I murmured, my voice barely audible in the stillness. “I found the truth. And I made sure they can’t hurt anyone else the way they hurt us.”Emily crouched beside me, her touch grounding me as she placed a bouquet of white lilies on the grave. “They’d be so proud of you, Adrian,” she said softly, her voice brimming with sincerity. “You’ve been through so much, but you turned it all into strength. That’s… that’s incredible.”Her words hit me harder than I expected, and for the first time in years, I felt a lump rise in my throat. I glanced at her, her beautiful face illuminated by the dim sunlight

Emily’s POV“You may now kiss the bride.”The pastor’s voice echoed through the garden venue, and as Adrian cupped my face with gentle, possessive hands, the world around us melted away. Everything—every face, every sound, every moment—blurred into insignificance, leaving just him and me in a universe of our own. His lips captured mine in a kiss so tender yet electrifying that it didn’t feel like the start of something new, but rather the continuation of something eternal. It was a promise, a silent declaration that the past no longer held me hostage. The applause that erupted around us was distant, muffled. Tears brimmed in my eyes, spilling over as our lips parted. But for the first time, these weren’t tears of heartbreak or regret. They were tears of unfiltered, unrestrained joy. This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a rebirth. The scars from my first marriage no longer stung as they once had. They were still there, faint and faded, but they no longer had power over me. This was my se

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 68 - The Ruthless Adrian Blackwood

Emily’s POVThe bathroom was eerily silent, save for the sound of my shaky breaths and the faint hum of the overhead fan. My hands trembled as I clutched the small plastic stick, staring at the two faint pink lines that stared back at me like an answer to a prayer. Two lines.I blinked, tears spilling over onto my cheeks, and let out a choked laugh that sounded almost foreign to my ears. I hadn’t realized I was crying until a tear dropped onto the stick. My vision blurred, but those two lines remained clear, bold, and unyielding. Two years. Two long years of waiting, hoping, and silently mourning every month when the answer was always no. I had wanted to believe it would happen one day, but as time dragged on, doubt crept in.I sank onto the toilet seat, the stick still clutched in my trembling hands, and fumbled for my phone. My fingers moved on autopilot, searching for the one person who would understand the significance of

Claire’s POVThe aroma of fresh coffee from the street below wafted through the slightly cracked window of my tiny apartment. I should’ve been up hours ago, but the sharp cramps in my abdomen had chained me to bed. The TV droned on in the background, filling the silence.“...breaking news this morning! Actress Mirabel Vanroe, known for her role in Empire’s Fire, has announced her engagement to none other than Vincent Everglow!”The mug I cradled in my hands slipped, shattering on the floor. My pulse raced as I grabbed the remote and turned up the volume. My chest tightened as the screen displayed picture after picture of Vincent and Mirabel, arm in arm, smiling like they belonged in a fairytale.“Fans are already swooning over the couple’s chemistry,” the anchor gushed. “Mirabel shared this photo on her social media last night, calling Vincent her ‘forever.’ And we’ve got to admit—they look absolutely perfect together.”I stared at the screen, my vision blurring with tears.“I guess I

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 35 - Larry's POV

Larry Thorne’s POVIt was quiet now. The kind of quiet that used to drive me insane when I was younger, before I knew how to appreciate it. The twins had finally fallen asleep after I’d read them their bedtime stories, the girl clutching her stuffed rabbit and the boy sprawled out like he owned the world.Fatherhood. Who would have thought it?Four months ago, I couldn’t have imagined this life. Me, Larry Thorne, the reckless playboy who lived for booze, drugs, and women, now playing the role of a family man.Well, mostly.I leaned against the doorframe of the twins’ room, watching their tiny chests rise and fall with each breath. It was surreal, almost poetic, how much they had changed me. I didn’t touch alcohol anymore, and the mere thought of drugs made me sick. I wanted to be better—for them. They deserved that. And for all her quirks, Elise had stepped up too. She loved those kids like they were her own, doting on them in ways I never expected. There were moments when I caught her

Chapter 34Mirabel Vanroe’s POVThese past four months have definitely been the longest four years of my life, it has taken me through different phases, made me understand myself more and most especially, understand the surrounding situation. The time within those months ave made me understand that forgiveness be damned, new beginnings be damned. Those who said that opportunities come but once weren't lying. They definitely had won my shoes before coming up with those words of wisdom, because I had that opportunity to become a star after I graduated from college, and it was the only once of my life, because now, I was nothing but a crazy woman forced to wear a white uniform because the alternative would have been orange overalls in a damned cell with notorious roommates, but right now, I was stuck with crazy. "I heard she used to be a top star.""Top star my foot, if she was a top star, then I was a top planet," I glared at the two psychopaths and watched them scamper away, while I h

Claire’s POVFour months had passed since my world turned upside down, and now I stood at the precipice of a new beginning. The joy of motherhood swelled within me, even as I lay drenched in sweat, gripping the sides of the hospital bed with all my might. The air in the delivery room felt thick, buzzing with nervous energy and the weight of what was about to happen."Push, Claire! You’re almost there!" The doctor’s voice cut through the haze of pain, grounding me in the moment.A sharp contraction tore through me, and for a brief moment, I thought I might lose my mind. Every nerve in my body screamed in protest, but then I felt Emily’s firm hand clasping mine."You’ve got this! You’re the strongest woman I know." Her voice, steady and filled with conviction, was the anchor I desperately needed. On the other side of me was Vince

Mirabel's POV The cold steel of the prison bars bit into my palms as I leaned against them, the chill seeping into my bones. My breath came out in ragged gasps, each one a struggle to pull from the suffocating air of my cell. The coarse fabric of my orange jumpsuit scratched at my skin, a constant reminder of how far I had fallen—from the glamour of studio lights and red carpets to this dim, unforgiving cage. Tears streamed

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 31 - Larry’s POV

Larry's POVI never saw it coming—the sharp crack of bone that echoed through the room, a sound so foreign yet unmistakably mine. Pain flared up my leg, an incandescent burst of white-hot agony that blotted out thought and breath. I crumpled to the cold, hard ground, gasping, clutching at the shattered limb as if sheer will could piece it back together.“Damn it, Larry,” Vincent’s voice cut through the haze, cold and commanding. “You really should watch your step.”His words were laced with fury and satisfaction, a combination that made my stomach churn as much as the pain in my leg did. I bit down a groan, my breaths coming shallow and fast. Sweat pooled on my brow, and the room spun like a cruel carnival ride.“You didn’t have to do this,” I rasped, the words barely escaping through clenched teeth. My voice trembled, lacking conviction even as I spoke.Vincent crouched beside me, his face a mask of barely restrained rage. “Didn’t have to?” he echoed, his voice low and dangerous. “You

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 30 - Vincent’s POV

Vincent’s POVThe moment the hacker delivered the final batch of files, I knew Mirabel’s reign of terror was over. Nine hours was all it took for her carefully constructed image to shatter. Years of deceit, manipulation, and cruelty now sat neatly categorized in front of me—subtle, strong, explosive.I leaned back in my chair, staring at the screen as the weight of the evidence settled over me. Bank transfers tied to bribery. Screenshots of threats she’d sent to assistants she bullied into silence. Even a recorded confession from one of her ex-managers, who detailed the torment she’d put him through before driving him to a breakdown. And then there were the videos. They were the kind of content no PR team could spin, the kind that would obliterate every shred of credibility she had left. Explicit. Damning. Ugly.I should have felt disgusted—or maybe even pity—but all I felt was cold, unrelenting anger.“Vincent?” Claire’s voice pulled me back. She was sitting on the couch, her legs cu

Claire’s POVExhaustion weighed heavily on me, my body begging for rest, but my mind refused to grant it. My eyelids drooped as I sat on the edge of the bed, my hand resting protectively over my belly. Vincent was pacing in front of me, his phone in one hand, a glass of water in the other. He had been trying to convince me to sleep for over an hour, but how could I close my eyes with so much at stake?“They said ten hours,” I muttered, shaking my head. “Ten hours, Vincent. That’s a lifetime right now.”“You’ll make yourself sick,” he countered, kneeling before me. He placed the glass in my hand and cupped my cheek with his other. His gaze was soft, yet determined. “Claire, please. Trust me. We’re almost there.”I wanted to believe him, but the knot in my stomach wouldn’t unravel. “I can’t. Not until this is over. Not until Mirabel’s lies are exposed, and she can’t hurt us anymore.” My voice cracked, and I hated how vulnerable I sounded.Vincent’s thumb brushed against my cheek, wiping

  • Bound to the Ruthless Billionaire   Chapter 28: Mirabel’s POV

Mirabel’s POVI paced the length of the room, my stilettos clicking sharply against the marble floor, their sound slicing through the tense silence. Every deliberate step mirrored the whirlwind in my mind. That insipid little video Claire had posted was still trending. A pregnant woman pleading for peace? Sympathy for her unborn child? It was a masterstroke of manipulation. And it was working. The pity I’d spent months crafting had evaporated overnight. My nails dug into my palms as I replayed her words in my head, each line dripping with saccharine innocence. If I announced my pregnancy now, it would look like a desperate bid for attention. Worse, it would backfire spectacularly. No one would side with me over a vulnerable, heavily pregnant woman. The public would eat me alive. But I wasn’t about to roll over and surrender. I’d played the victim long enough. Now, it was time to become the devil.I reached for my phone, scrolling through my contacts until I found the one I needed. My

Claire's POVThe moment Emily and Adrian left, the tension in the air felt almost suffocating. I was still processing the mess from earlier when something unexpected happened. It started with a faint sound—like the rustling of dozens of people gathering—and then it grew louder. By the time I made it to the window, I could see the crowd forming outside the gates, a sea of reporters, paparazzi, and random strangers pushing forward, trying to get in.I froze. Panic surged through me. I wasn’t sure what to do.Vincent, however, was on it in an instant. His phone rang with the speed of someone who had already anticipated this move. He snapped a few words into it, and within minutes, a team of security arrived. The scene outside was chaos, but it didn’t take long for the reporters to be pushed out of the way.Vincent had everything under control. And somehow, that made the whole situation feel even worse. The idea that I was trapped here—while he was orchestrating everything—only added to t
