As Tatiana left with Luca and Augustus, she sighed. She looked over at Luca, who was watching her. “Are you okay?”
“I don’t know. It’ll take time to digest what she said.”
Augustus put his arm around her, “No matter what she said, you are still Tatiana. The person we love. Like you said inside, you know who you are, and none of that changes.”
She smiled at him half-heartedly.
They drove home in silence as Tatiana contemplated the news. She never had a pack. How could she be a Primary Alpha? Hopefully, the paperwork Chloe shared would give her more information. She worried about what this news might do to Duncan. Could he think she would try to take over his pack? It explained why they fought so much. Alphas are notoriously independent and hard-headed.
